I specifically said, "show me a guy who says that he is as nurturing as a woman", you might be doing a role of a mother and a father, but you still can't replace a woman mom. A guy who says that he is as good as a woman is either gay or just confused. Man can be loving, caring, but never, never, never will he live up to a role of a mother. A man who is a homosexual can try his best, but it just looks and feels wrong and messed up (I have seen plenty of that in San Francisco).

Master of Orion III is a single player, possibly with MP thrown in. I played Master of orion I, and II, great strategic games. It's like Civilization set in space, with much more options, better looking fights (nowhere near Imperium Galactica III, but the games concepts are different so don't confuse them), and much better AI.

Well, got Warcraft III, and gotta tell you. The quality of the games keeps going down, while the price keeps going up. This is a full blown rip off for $60.00. 1. The camera is badly done. You can rotate your view 90 degrees left or right, but as soon as you let go of the button, the view swings back to default. ????? Who came up with that? 2. The AI has been ripped out from Warcraft II, or at least it behaves that way. First, it keeps sending it's peasants into my units with some blind hope that they will get through. And it also cheats for resources because every so often it will produce a number of elite units even though it's base is completly surrounded, it will continue pumping out peasants and some combat guys at a constant rate = cheating. You would at least figure that in this day and age they would pump up the AI a little bit. 3. The gameplay is plain out boring. I got bored after only 2 hours. Thanks to what was earlier discussed a cookie cutter game. 4. The speed setting for the game doesn't work. Or maybe it does but the changes in speed are such minute that it makes no difference if you have it set on "fast" or "slow". That defeats the whole approach they were going for in this game. The approach of having smaller armies with different units instead of build em up, and send em to die. Reason being, the fighting is so fast and so chaotic that I can't pick out my key units (mages, leaders) and therefore the only approach you will have is "build em up, and send em to die". 5. The only good thing about this game is updated graphics. But if you are looking for something fresh, cool, and different, looks someplace else. I recomend waiting for Imperium Galactica III or that new Master of Orion that's coming out and see how that turns out. Conclusion, this game goes back to EB tomorow and some other company will get the $60 they better deserve. I am aiming for that Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002 Profesional edition, there's nothing else out that's good to blow $60 on and that seems like the best option so far.

Look, political correctnes is one thing, discrimination is another. People have meshed those 2 ideas together because of a lot of people being sued for something like their opinions. What needs to be done is a court system that will first establish if a lawsuit even needs to be heard, and if it's just some plain ridiculous claim then then person who brough that lawsuit should be heavily fined. That way you won't only see a speed up in the court procesing, and drop in fraugelent lawsuits, but also get rid of all this bull where a person can't just say something that is plain and true, but instead has to check and check again if his words are offending anyone, and if they do, he has to change the meaning untill his message is so crypted nobody knows what the @#$% he is even talking about.

BCM patches are actually one of the small to normal size patches this days. Compare that to 25mb for Silent Hunter II, or 75mb for IL 2 Sturmovik, and on 56k that's a killer.

Ok, lets do it this way. I am offended by: 1. Bums on the streets. I don't care how, fix this problem. 2. Non English signs in American stores. I live in America and I don't speak Spanish or Swahili, so I am offended by the display of other languages, and as I live in America I expect to be able to walk into a store and read signs in ENGLISH. So fix that. 3. Gay pride parade, I am offended by that, however I wouldn't be offended if there was Straight pride parade, so fix that. 4. Demonstrators blocking traffic on bridges and busy streets. Why should I be late to a place where I am going just because some group of people decided to wave signs accross the road, if they want to demonstrate and make thier views known, tell them to go to a football field, and if I want to get to know their views I will show up in the stands. 5. I am offended by politicians spending my social security, and my tax dollars on programs I don't agree with. I am the one who makes the money, so why should someone whos views I don't agree with get to spend 30% of it. Fix that. So if you want to be so considerate, then consider my points, and after you do, tell me how you plan to please all 100%, because I am sure that there will be people who will disagree with some of the things that offend me. Anyhow, as you can see you can't please everyone, now what you can do is please the majority, and that is what voting is for. That being said, when the next presidential election rolls up, and me finally being of voting age, I don't think I will vote for the people who think it's constitutional to have porn in the libraries, illegal imigrants with all their social programs, or the growth of government and growth of beuracracy, and polls show that about 70% of people agree with me on those points. So take that for consideration.

Ok, let me clear up a few things. First. In the last preceeding months the conrol agency has reduced the vertical separation provided between planes, and deemed it safe. (meaning, they reduced the vertical clearance between 2 planes traveling in opposite directions) Second, the Russian plane complied on the second direction given by the controler. The Air Trafic Controllers radar updates every 6 seconds, that means that the first time they told them to change altitude, they saw no change on their radar, about 6 to 12 seconds later they told them second time, and saw the airplanes altitude changing on the radar (believe it or not, you don't just push on the yoke as hard as you can when you are told to change altitude, especially when you got people on board), and the third time the controler was freaking out because he saw the Swiss air plane changing altitude too, and told the Russian plane to change altitude the for the third time hoping that he would put a plane into a steeper dive. And Third, consider the closing rates. At 36,000 feet you will be traveling roughly 500 kts, or about 600MPH, that's 1200 MPH closing rates, and PLUS picking up speed in a dive, those 50 seconds translate into literally nothing when you are talking between ATC and trying to change the attitude of a plane that weights 400,000 pounds or more, it's just not enough time, planes don't change their flight path that fast, nor do people comply or think that fast.

Makes you really think how small the world really is.

The way to do it is get registered in their forums or something. That's the way I did it at least. Then you can use the same name and password for multiplayer games (didn't know you needed any for LAN). Anyhow, try that and see what happens.

There are very good reasons for online sales to be lower. First, the shiping fees. It's cheaper to just go to the store and grab a game, even if the store is an hour away, you will still end up paying less. Second, waiting time. Do you wait for delivery, and hope that nothing goes wrong, or do you drive (even long distance) and get the game the same day. Third, online purchase. I don't buy stuff online. Only did it once, and got the wrong item shiped to me. Luckily the retailer was easy to get a hold of and paid for return shipment and even shiped the correct item to me express. But there's always the anxiety of giving out your credit card #, personal information (home address and such) and worrying about it being intercepted, or sold to anyone.

For #2. Maybe while you were tractoring that enemy ship to base some other enemy ship destroyed a friendly or a neutral NPC ship in the sector you were in. Remember, exp. points will be subtracted if you fail to protect your races assets or neutral ships from hostiles.

Well, I got there like 2 hours after they delivered it to the store (EB) and they had about 25 copies on the shelf. So I didn't have any trouble finding it. However, after I started building my own world so that I can be a Dungeon Master with my own domain in MP, I realized how hard it is to script stuff for NPC and the pre-made scripts don't have explanations for what they do (very stupid, whos idea was it to have a ton of pre made scripts without a one sentence summary for each one, it's like browsing text files named #1 through #150 and trying to guess which of those text files is your shopping list, impossible to find if you don't open up each one). So I went back on Friday to pick up the Worldbuilder Guide and had to go to 2 different malls to find one, they were all sold out at the first one and the second one had only 2 copies left, on the side note, nobody is buying the Adventurers guide, that thing is of almoust no use. And $ilk, the game is not for MP only, it got a very nice SP, then you can plug in custom made modules (kinda like it Morrowind) and play them (a new module/adventure is being released soon by Bioware). And you can go online and either play Diablo style or play Adventure or Roleplaying style. For the later 2 it really pays off if you find a good world that someone build and an experienced Dungeon Master.

Well, I got the merchants to work. So far I have 3 rooms in my castle. The spawn room, the challenge room and the merchants hall. If anyone wants to check it out, post about it, we might coordinate something and you can join in. Gonna go work on the castle some more.

I just spent 2 hours building a castle. Looks beautiful, but I can't get the merchants to sell their warez in the merchants hall.

LOL, yeah, I mean the negatives. I just call it developed film, as opposed to undeveloped film. Anyhow, I already got #2 today. Works like a charm, just what I needed.

Just got the game. Very impressive. My opinions is that it's even better than Morrowind. I did have some problems starting the game however (splash screen) so to fix that I just went into DXdiag and upped the sound acceleration all the way up. Anyhow, going to post more about the gameplay tonight or tomorow, so far it looks great.

Well, the printer that Tac is showing me has a lower resolution scanner than the ones I am looking at (the 3 choices in my first post). So since it's a good quality printer I would be stuck with only one choice, printing from developers cd. But if I buy a high quality scanner (I don't know if the ones I am looking at are high quality), then I can attach a 35mm film scanning device and scan the developed film into the computer. Then I will buy a high quality printer (my Epson 440 has proven to be old and not so good with printing picutures) and will be able to print out the pics from that scanned 35mm film. So, what does high quality scanner mean? (dpi resolution, bits, scan depth?) I don't even know what they mean by external/internal scan depths, max scan resolution and optical scan resolution. Like I said, this is the first time I am dealing with scanners and don't know anything about them. So I am going more by price then by knowledge, that's where I got the $100 to $180 price range from, figure I don't get the cheapest one, and not something that will take me overboard. As for the printer, I don't know what's the good dpi for printing picture. I need something that will print out a picture so good that I won't be able to see the little dots (I can see them on pics from my printer, even with all the options maxed out).

The other stores are POed that they didn't get to sell a newly released product when everyone would be grabing it. Now if they get it, it will be harder for them to sell since the people who knew about the game, wanted it and waited for it, got it as soon as it came out from EB, now all they can hope for is a chance buyer.

Also, I don't have a digital camera (I have a really nice 35mm camera) and that's where the printer which can print out high quality pics comes in. I need something that can print good photos from either the cd that the film developer gives you (kodak) or the scanned images from the 35mm film (look at choice #3 that has a special accesory for scanning 35mm film)
