Last Saturday I upgraded my computer into an Athlon 1.4Gig from a PIII 800. Ever since the upgrade my computer has started acting weirdly. After about half an hour my computer would get slower than a P90. The screen would refresh slowly, games would hang hell I can't even shut the computer off without waiting for 2 minutes. The CPU was running at 41`C so could that be too hot? Any input would be greatly appreciated as I'm seriously thinking of reverting back to my PIII. Specs: AMD 1400 266fsb KT133A Motherboard 512Mb Sdramm 133 20Gig HD WinME 64Mb KyroII Graphics Card Would it be better if I format my HD and doing a clean install? $ilk I was just joking about the Transformers mod. It's just a blast from my past thats all. Personally I'd rather have a 'virgin' game (nothing to do with Richard Branson) as the minute we mod the game we'll have issues with multiplayer (Uber Ships come to mind). The question that we really need to know is, will the mods effect the multiplayer bit? The last thing I need is a Borg Cube chasing me.

Here is another coincidence. Jackie Chan was supposed to shoot a scene there on that very day in the WTC. But because of scripting problems the shoot had to be delayed for a day. This man is probably the luckiest guy ever. After so many near death from stunts going wrong ranging from falling off bridges, hovercraft, buildings, 30 feet poles and other stupid stunts you would've thought that his luck would run out. I'm all for the modding business. Since you did mention Robotech I'm quite surprised you didn't mentioned Transformers!! Imagine modelling a planet into Unicron (Sp?) and we would be able to recreate the birth of Rodimus Prime. Back to reality: That would be waaaaaay to difficult to make so lets stick to just Star Trek and Star Wars mods for now. Besides at the moment I'd rather play with the original models for the next few months. After that....

Have you ever wonder why there are so many assylum seekers that runs away from Afghanistan? If it was that simple as you say to depose a government even in the early stages do you not think that would have been done already? It is quite known that hardly anybody likes the taliban (even the people of Afghanistan themselves). Well for starters I'm waiting for my 1.4 Gig and my Apollo ViaKT133A motherboard to arrive in my front door any minute now. The only thing I got to say is go for the 1.4 Gig as there are hardly any price difference between that and a 1 Gig. There should be some companies that would deliver to Czech Republic so I'll try to find some for you. Or you can phone my daddy in Malaysia and get him to send some cheap ass high tech equipment to you.

Sorry to hear what happened and trust me when I tell you that I've been there before so I know how you feel.Anyway see if this can help you: CPU and memory are quite cheap now so you might as well go for the 1.4 gig Athlon (around 95 quid). The difference between a 1.4 gig and a 1 gig is only about 30 quid (ex VAT). Thats what I'll be getting in about a week myself. Motherboardwise I can't really tell you what to get as I always go for the cheapest option w/sound and never had any problems (yet). I was bored last thursday so I decide to treat myself to a new graphics card and replace my venerable NVIDIA TNT2. I chose to be different and ordered the KyroII and some memmory. A day later it arrived and I can honestly say its the best 80 quid I've spent in a long time. The BCM demo ran smoothly at the max resolution available (1280 x1024) compared to only 800x600 on my last card (I only have a P3-800). I can't sleep. Everytime I close my eyes all I can see is the 767 crashing into the building. It's 2.40 in the morning and I'm laying in my sofa glued to the news watching reruns of this incident. Nobody is claiming responsibility yet but I guess who the hell would? This is not war against America but against the whole world. Why can't we all live in peace? Are we the human race destined to destroy ourselves?

This is even scarier than I thought...an unseen and unknown enemy. We were having a discussion in the pub about this. Who the hell would profit from this? If the U.S. economy goes down so does the whole world. Normally during a terrorist attack the culprit would: a) give a warning of when it's gonna happen, where and who was responsible. claim that they did it for whatever sick reason a few hours later. I don't see any of the above as of yet. This is just pure evil and does not help any political cause in any way. They would lose sympathy from even their own kind. I pray for those that lost their lives and their families and I hope things would get sorted as soon as possible.

The questions we should ask ourselves now are who could have done it? Is this a one-off or just a first wave? Is it only againts the U.S? I send my deepest condolences to all of you that is affected by this tragedy. I hope you do catch those pricks who planned this.

Believe it or not I practically LOVE that show. I agree with the 1980 bit to be crap. I mean they're all humans right?(from different planets). Truthfully Tachyon is not so good in single player as its been done before. Tachyon is best played in multiplayer. Terminus is okay but could've been better. The problem is once you get the right combo in ship customization(getting money by being an assassin) you know no one can beat you (I play it in insane level). The other thing is (i think I said this before can't remember) "Space is empty....especially if you are the only one on the server"
