Best thing since the toilet. 'Nuff said. Dust off that dimpy little slowdem, or polish your fat pr0n pipes, because this baby's here at 100+ meg and well worth it! Expect a review of it on Hardnews in a day or two (already have some 40-odd screenshots taken.. the fun part is picking 8 out of those) with my thoughts. Just letting you all know.. if you're a self-respecting FPS fan, download this, NOW. Quake 3 might have blown some chunks (at least in my humble opinion, lets not get into an opinion war here though.. heh) but it had a fine engine.. Raven did a damn good job with that engine. Sweet, sweet game. I've alreay prepped my razzing email to send to the developers once the game is gold so that I can nab a press copy ------------------ Cmdr. Well I DID tell you to watch out for my broadsiding That ship has about 6 multi-warhead launchers on it's left and right flanks. All I need to do is line some unfortunate sap up in there with the gunnery chair, pound on the secondary fire button a few times, and watch him explode horrendously! It's a damn fine ship Thanks for the compliments though In a slightly different topic, I just beat the game right now, and MAN, this game spanks just about any other game I've played lately, Freespace 2 included. Suh-weet baby. 6 CDs, and all worth it. Well, apparently the gods decided to taunt me, for I have 2 games that showed up in the same day and I only have the HD space for one. Naturally, Klingon Academy went in first All I can say about this game so far is BUY IT! The movies are nice, the graphics rock (seem to look a lot better than the demo/preview version), the frame rate is definately improved, and it's just so addicting! ..Okay, expect a more in-depth review on this once I get off my lazy arse and write one up for Hardnews As for Terminus? Uh, well, my first impression is... interesting. The box showed up looking like the postal people had a rabid mule stomping all over it, and I'm taking that for the sign it is. I'll beat Klingon Academy a few times, then see if I'm willing to load this game onto my system. The CD package, manual, and everything else appear to be intact, but I'm still rather disturbed by the condition this thing appeared in. Judging from the posts on various forums, I'm not the only one who had it show up like this either. So, uh, conclusion to this quick and possibly slightly pointless first look: Klingon Academy kicks ass, while Terminus just gets stomped all over, literally. ------------------ Cmdr. Utilizing my dark arts of necromancy, I'm resurrecting this old thread for a good purpose I got a few good emails in response to my first post here, but didn't manage to score any actual people. Presently that's cool, we've pretty much got content covered, but as it stands, I'm the only one doing news, and with all the other stuff I've also gotta do, it's getting more and more difficult to do alone.. heh. So I need news people. Dedicated, funny, and willing. Definately willing, because my radioactive garden gnomes always get a kick out of breaking people's will p- er, I didn't say that Think you have what it takes to sit on your arse for an hour or two each day and post a bunch of hardware and gaming news? Cute I was a bit surprised when they showed me that they could read my desktop, untill I checked the link.. it just opens the "desktop" folder as a local file on your system, they don't actually know anything... hilarious though!
