  1. OK, Commanders Of The Insurgency, This is it! In preparation and anticipation of the upcoming release of BCM, I hereby order a recall of all registered Insurgents. We will be dividing responding Commanders of this thread into "Battle Groups" if you will, and assigning you to a Group Commander. We will still maintain one Fleet, Spectre, but will have several groups to challenge the Galcom Fleets. This will remain in keeping with the SC's prime directive, while enabling each of us to participate in the devistation of Galcom Assets. From this moment, You have 2 weeks to respond to this thread. Post your Character/Handle and Vessel Name only here. No bantering or chest beating please. This is, if nothing else, a serious post, so don't "blow me off" on it. If you do, I'll forget you when it's least convenient for you. "Nuff Said!" Commanders Not of the Insurgency, please keep this thread clean. I have only opened it so that I might accurately count your nemesis. If you want to badger/antagonize me, do it on my email account below. Ok? Thanks in advance, ------------------ Rattler, Spectre, Insurgent One Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Old Age and Treachery will ALWAYS win out over Youth and Exuberance!"

  3. I would have asked why Commander Blair is posting these words for Levi, then I suddenly remembered that Levi, aka Mech, is banned from this site. If he suffers the "shackles of hatred and tyranny", they are ones that he hammered out and locked around his own appendages. He should avoid taking swimming lessons until he rids himself of them though. "Nuff Said!" ------------------ Rattler, Spectre, Insurgent One Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Old Age and Treachery will ALWAYS win out over Youth and Exuberance!"
  4. Did I miss it, or is it not posted yet? Insurgents are getting restless ------------------ Rattler, Spectre, Insurgent One Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Old Age and Treachery will ALWAYS win out over Youth and Exuberance!"

  9. [RP] A figure sat silently in the corner, blending in with the furniture of the tavern. Nothing had escaped his eyes and ears. He had immediately recognized the "Old Guard" and some of the new whelps as well. Some of these new commanders were but mere children, or so it seemed. He had thought that perhaps the youth of earth would have awakened to the reality of life, but with such a showing as this, it was clearly evident that Nothing had changed. Then a singular figure had gained his attention. It looked like him, but no way......By George, it WAS him! Old Karl himself! He hadn't been seen by these eyes in ....how many years had it been? The quiet figure smilled, only slightly though. This was, after all, THE ENEMY! The stranger slowly rose from his chair and non-chalantly walked past the Supreme Commander, gently brushing elbows as they passed. With that innocent brush, there had been a passing of technology. A tiny object, not worth much, but it was the action that had counted. The Stranger allowed himself a momentary thought. "Tag, You're it!" He continued out of the Tavern, pausing one last time to glance over his shoulder. Karl was speaking with another member of Galcom. A rather nice looking member at that! The stranger now hastened his footsteps, taking three more steps, turning the corner, and disappearing into the darkness of Orion Starstation. Only after having launched the P21 from the bay and in the freedom of open space did the Stranger reveal his findings on Orion Starstation. In a tight beamed transmission, fired directly towards Antis did the message speed. "Rattler has sighted Karl Reines in Orion Starstation!" "Insurgents beware!" The P21 jumped out of system like a runaway locomotive, pausing slightly to recharge it's Jump Engines, accelerating as she charged. One more jump and home free. The window opened and Rattler was gone. If there were any pursuits, they were gone now. Next stop Spectre, and Home! 10. Congratulations Fleet Leader Blades! I am also sure that you will do an Outstanding job in guiding Orion Fleet. Let me know when you have your site open so I can sneak in and sign your guest log. ------------------ Rattler, Spectre, Insurgent One Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Old Age and Treachery will ALWAYS win out over Youth and Exuberance!"
  11. Jon B. has asked me to inform you that he has been Unavoidably Delayed with his next post. Actually, he got called in to work today and has not had the chance to get it on the site. I'm sure he will get it done as soon as humanly possible. Thanks for your patience, although Jon's work has always been well worth the wait. Thanks Again, ------------------ Rattler, Spectre, Insurgent One Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Old Age and Treachery will ALWAYS win out over Youth and Exuberance!"
  12. Amen William, Amen to that! Both of these Gentlemen have the character and personal integrity to do an outstanding job. Too bad we can't give the position to both of them. This is our loss, but one that we got'ta live with. Again, may the best man win. Good luck to you both! ------------------ Rattler, Spectre, Insurgent One Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Old Age and Treachery will ALWAYS win out over Youth and Exuberance!" 13. Mark, I think we've waited long enough on this one. I recommend that we initiate "Operation Constellation Scan" and find the new center of Orion. Why not start the voting at approximately 1800 Zulu, 15 Oct 1999 and cutit off at 1800 PST on 16 Oct 1999? Your thoughts? ------------------ Rattler, Spectre, Insurgent One Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Old Age and Treachery will ALWAYS win out over Youth and Exuberance!"
  14. Hehe, Tac lives in Orlando I believe, and it's not that far to the SC's house down in Ft. Lauderdale (at least I think that's where he lives). We are about 250 miles northeast of there, near the Florida/Alabama line in the panhandle. That might be a tad bit out of the way for you Blades, but if you do manage to make it over our way, be sure and give us a shout. ------------------ Rattler, Spectre, Insurgent One Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Old Age and Treachery will ALWAYS win out over Youth and Exuberance!"
  15. Where You going to be in "Sunny" Fla. Blades? If anywhere near Pansacola, I'm sure that there are at least 3 Insurgents that would gladly meet with you. Let us know for sure. would be a blast to sit down over a cold one and discuss "Many" topics of common interest. Sincerely, ------------------ Rattler, Spectre, Insurgent One Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Old Age and Treachery will ALWAYS win out over Youth and Exuberance!"
  16. Thanks SpcFx, I knew you had it in hand. I just didn't know which hand! Additionally, I agree that all should be able to vote on this issue. I haven't seen much response from Orion Fleet Members, so somebody's gotta do it. ------------------ Rattler, Spectre, Insurgent One Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Old Age and Treachery will ALWAYS win out over Youth and Exuberance!"
  17. So far I see Yourself (Blades), Thomas Seimens, and Mano Faber although we haven't heard from Mano and his acceptance or decline of the nomination. I think we should see things start to pick up tonight and tomorrow though. Weekend's comming and lots of visitors should get to this thread. As to the voting, I'd say we cast our votes on Sunday, 10 Oct 1999 (y2k compliant of course). As to where? I have no idea. Somebody jump up now and say "I Know, I Know!" ------------------ Rattler, Spectre, Insurgent One Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Old Age and Treachery will ALWAYS win out over Youth and Exuberance!"
  18. Another Outstanding Choice. Good Show Lynx! ------------------ Rattler, Spectre, Insurgent One Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Old Age and Treachery will ALWAYS win out over Youth and Exuberance!" [This message has been edited by Rattler (edited 10-06-1999).]
  19. I'll verify if you want me. I agree though, if someone knows anyone in Orion Fleet, they should be contacted. Only fair thing to do IMHO. I just know that we need to get this done and over with soon. Somebody's got to get that fleet back out on patrol! ------------------ Rattler, Spectre, Insurgent One Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "A dog, is a dog, is a dog, unless he's facing you. 20. Sounds Fair to me. Let us know where and when. I can be impartial, if I can help, let me know. ------------------ Rattler, Spectre, Insurgent One Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "A dog, is a dog, is a dog, unless he's facing you. 22. Levi, Although ambition is a critical item in advancement in all military factions, Time In Grade is a mandatory item. Belonging to that faction is just as important. You fall woefully short in both categories, and I must, with all due respect, with hold my recommendation for you to become the Orion Fleet Leader. I would, however, like to present a member who has both tenure and experience as a member of Galcom. He's been here from almost the start and has never shirked his duties to uphold the traditions and honor of this site. He's vocal, a participant on this forum, and has the respect that would be required to be Orion Fleet Leader. With that said, I proudly recommend Cmdr. Thomas Siemens be transferred from Wraith Fleet and take up the position of Orion Fleet Leader. Now that I've said my 2 Cents worth, I'll leave it in the hands of those who are empowered to make that decision. Thanks, ------------------ Rattler, Spectre, Insurgent One Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "A dog, is a dog, is a dog, unless he's facing you. Then he becomes MR. DOG!" 23. I'm assuming that since this was a prototype on it's way to Gammula Prime, they wouldn't have had time to develope ALL the where-with-all to know it's full potentials and weaknesses. I can modify my earlier post to say that we had changed the wavelengths, etc; to make it invisible to all except known vessels. ------------------ Rattler, Spectre, Insurgent One Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "A dog, is a dog, is a dog, unless he's facing you. 24. (RP) It had taken less than 3 Standard Hours for Rattler and Jester to get their prize back to Spectre. It had been a large package, approximately 10 times larger than the standard issue for a Battlecruiser but, it was designed to do the job for an object much larger than a Battlecruiser. The Senior Engineers on Spectre had immediately gone to work on their "pet" project and had completed the task of "tying it in" in less than another 6 hours. It's fuel source had been loaded, plenty of reserves laid in for extended operation if required. When it came time for the initial testing, Rattler was informed. He had positioned observation craft at all viewing angles and distances from Spectre. It was now time. Time to see if all this was worth it. Time for Spectre to realize the full potential of it's design. Rattler..."Ok Gentlemen, stand-by for initial testing. Report all that you see! Engineers, work your magic!" The observation craft all saw, or didn't see what all this hub-bub was about. With a twinkling, shimmering instant held motionless in time, Spectre first became an irradescent/translucent image in their viewers. Within 30 seconds Spectre had gone from a real object with mass to an opaque immage, to just plain GONE! Observation Craft One....."Where the Hell did it go? It was there a second ago. I know it was! Now what do we do. Anybody know where the docking bays are now? It's like it never existed. No emissions, no docking beacons, NO Nothing! Now what do we do?" Rattler looked at Jester and grinned. His "Old Friend" was doing the same to Rattler. After slapping themselves on the back and shaking each other's hand, Rattler had issued a station wide directive to cease with the test. Spectre had reappeared just where the observation craft had last seen it. TEST CONCLUDED! SUCCESS AT LAST. Rattler....."We'll call this Raven Walters. Raven to honor Akira's obtaining that fuel source, and Walters for Sgt. Walters who died making sure that we had the device. From now on, when Raven Walters is mentioned, Spectre will NOT be home! Understood?" (/RP) That should just about settle the issue of the Gamm's bypassing Spectre should they come knocking. ------------------ Rattler, Spectre, Insurgent One Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "A dog, is a dog, is a dog, unless he's facing you. 25. (RP) Eclipse had cleared the jumpgate with no uninvited visitors. She had gone through two more in succession before Rattler had been satisfied that all was well in hand. Time for Necromancer to bring up the rear guard. Rattler...."All Ships of the Insurgency...Resume Waypoints, I repeat, Resume Waypoints. Necromancer, Pursue Eclipse and take up rear guarding posture 15000K to Starboard Aft. Rattler.....Out!"
