Where, EXACTLY, does it say to put any playmods into your script folder? I've managed to miss that portion. If you are going to use Playmods, there's a step by step proceedure on how to apply the mods. What mod, exactly, are you talking about? If you are talking about the alliance mods, ie; Galcommie, Insurgent, Raider, Trader, etc; then trot yourself over to Galcom Mission Control and download the mission pack. Unzip THAT into your scripts folder and you may chose to play any of the Casts that are offered. If you are talking about PlayMods, Script Folder is NOT where it belongs! Try going to Downloads area, downloading Playmod, and all the other CHEATS that are there. Be sure and read what's there, and especially the ones that say READ THIS FILE. Just click on them, they'll open up the link to the document. Sorry to be short with you Commander but, Those instructions were put there for a reason. Forgive me here SC, I'm going to get a little "Down and Dirty!" Commander, No way in Hell did this game screw with your BIOS! It won't even mess with your registry to the extent that it would crash Windows! That's why you have to go into your system to make sure that Extended Memory is set per the FAQ. Now, just what exactly did you do to attempt to get it to run, and what was it again that it did when you first installed and tried to run it? We might be able to assist you in getting everything back online, but PLEASE refrain from attempting to level charges that BC3K is responsible for your system crash. The Game had absolutely NOTHING to do with what you are experiencing. I suggest that you employ your "System Recovery CD" if you have one. Then let the BC3K CD install to it's defaults, like it wants to. It'll run fine from there on. From all that I can see, you had something set on your computer which caused all of this. I know you won't believe me, but I've now had BC3k installed on 4 different machines and it worked just fine on all of them. P.S. I don't know where you live Commander1, but I saw some copies of v2.0 down at Software, etc. today. I'm told that they may be found in most large software stores as well. As for the demo, I haven't tried it so I can't help there. System specs: I currently have BC3K installed on 2 machines. AMD K6-II 400mhz with Banshee Card and 80MB of Ram and the other is Celeron 433, Banshee Card, and 128MB of Ram. Both machines run extremely well.
