Insurgent Structure sent to Tacops SC! ------------------ Rattler, Insurgent One Spectre Fleet Spectre StarStation ICV Necromancer Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Long Live The Insurgency, Long Live Mother Earth, And Long Live Battlecruiser Developers and Fans!"

Since we are following rules, let's follow a major one. Until the release of BCM, all those assigned to the New Stations and Bases will reflect "your job title", Pre-commissioning Crew, Starstation or Starbase assigned. This will remain in effect until the official release of BCM, or authorization from Derek to activate those assignments. ------------------ Rattler, Insurgent One Spectre Fleet Spectre StarStation ICV Necromancer Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Long Live The Insurgency, Long Live Mother Earth, And Long Live Battlecruiser Developers and Fans!"

Insurgents, Organization is how we are going to win this war. I'm going to insist on organization and, accordingly, establish a benchmark signature profile. First line is Commander's Name. Second line is Fleet. Third line is StarStation/StarBase assigned. Fourth line is Ship commanded. Follow on lines may contain additional duties and responsibilities if you have them. If you are a Tester, this will be your last official line in your signature. Below that you may have your email address and ICQ number if you so desire. Follow the example in my signature and we'll all be uniform, at least for the Insurgency. If you have not been assigned to a StarStation or StarBase yet, contact myself via email, with copy to Commanders Akira and Andergum. We'll get you assigned to a home. "Have a Great Insurgent Day!" ------------------ Rattler, Insurgent One Spectre Fleet Spectre StarStation ICV Necromancer Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Long Live The Insurgency, Long Live Mother Earth, And Long Live Battlecruiser Developers and Fans!" Roger that Boss! I knew I was in the right caste. Less bureaucracy and more freedom to breathe is what the Insurgency is all about, to a point that is. As you stated, we're still a military entity and, rag-tag that we might be, understand following rules. Hear that Insurgents? Rules are what we live by, just less of them. Thanks for the forum Derek. I still say that you have an Insurgent Heart beating in that chest! ------------------ Rattler, Insurgent One Spectre Fleet Spectre StarStation ICV Necromancer Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Long Live The Insurgency, Long Live Mother Earth, And Long Live Battlecruiser Developers and Fans!" Working on it Insurgents. Now where did Gum leave that Roster? I might have to type each name in there individually, but hey, it's a darned good idea! Definitely one worth the effort. "Uncle Rattler's" remembering way back when the SC said that some Cyrix chips just wouldn't run BC, or at least I think I remember him saying that! There have been far too many days and patches since then though. You are exactly right when you said "Attitude" when talking about Cyrix chips from the past. Don't know about the chips above 200Mhz though. Still could be a problem. What you think Derek? ------------------ Rattler, Spectre, Insurgent One Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Long Live The Insurgency, Long Live Mother Earth, And Long Live Battlecruiser Developers and Fans!"

All Right Gents, Enough Bickering! I see both sides, so I'm not choosing either side! Just get it done! Edit your templates if you have to. I didn't see a problem though. Closest name to the Ship has always been the BCC (Battlecruiser Commander). ------------------ Rattler, Spectre, Insurgent One Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Long Live The Insurgency, Long Live Mother Earth, And Long Live Battlecruiser Developers and Fans!"

Heh, Thanks Max! Only problem I can see with gun powder and bagpipes is that you guys forget that you are supposed to THROW the Gun Powder and BLOW the Bagpipes! In keeping with this current re-order of the insurgency, I'm appointing Commander Den Dee of the ICV KPY3EHIIITEPH as StarBase Commander of Sanctuary Storage Facility, effective immediately upon Commander Chavik's Vacating his locker! Effective Immediately Commander Michael Kristophers has assumed the duties and responsibilities of Insurgent Recruiting Officer. I expect him to do well with his added "hat" and, while performing that duty, I expect full cooperation from every Insurgent in that capacity. Remember, if he does well, the Insurgency does well. Insurgents, We've got some fine Commanders out there who are bustin' their humps trying to do a good job at getting organized before BCM and Official Online Servers smack us right in the face. I'm ashamed to tell you that they're not getting much help from the rest of us! Got your attention now? Ok, here's what I want from the Insurgency: 1. Get Those Profiles to aramike ASAP. 2. If you are a registered Insurgent on the Commander's Roster, or have declared your defection to the Insurgency after having been a Galcommie, Report in! Last time I checked, and that was early this morning, Commander Andergum was just about completed with his Insurgent Roster, and there were a lot of holes in it. Seems a lot of us registered and then disappeared! I've got an answer for that! Effective Immediately, All Insurgents WILL post on this message thread, acknowledging this requirement and, subsequently, will follow-on post (Monthly) somewhere on this BB, signifying that they are still actively involved. The only exception to this rule will be those who contact myself or Commander Akira and who receive a temporary leave of absence. No exceptions here. Penalty for not following this rule will be the immediate removal of the ICV designator from your craft's name and being expelled from the Insurgence. I doubt that you would be welcomed back to Galcom with open arms. This has always been know to be a ONE-Way trip! This is NOT up for discussion on this thread. 3. I'm going to assign this flag as the Offical Flag Of The Insurgency. It is filled with history and tradition. That's what I want the rest of the community to think about the Insurgency as well. This flag was the first Battle Flag to ever fly from the Jackstaf of a U.S. Man-Of-War, making it the First Flag Of Freedom! Now let's make it the symbol of Freedom returning said to an enslaved populous of Mother Earth. I present you, Insurgents, with the Navy Jack! http://www.fortunecity.com/tatooine/russ/344/navyjack.jpg Have a good Day Insurgents! ------------------ Rattler, Spectre, Insurgent One Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Long Live The Insurgency, Long Live Mother Earth, And Long Live Battlecruiser Developers and Fans!" Commander SpacePhish, I saw your hand go up in the rear of the assembly. I have not forgotten you, and I have plans for you as well. I just need to get to know you a little better before I give you free reign out there. Accordingly, I'll establish another post that may be filled by the remaider of the Facilities Commanders, again giving additonal room for professional growth. I hereby assign Commander SpacePhish to the duties of Chief Engineer on New America. Hope that is ok with Jester, but if there ever was a born killer, Da Phish fits the bill! Congrats, Commander SpacePhish. Report to Jester! ------------------ Rattler, Spectre, Insurgent One Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Old Age and Treachery will ALWAYS win out over Youth and Exuberance!"

Following on with my assignments and orders, Commander Echo was asked for, and has accepted an assignment as CSO on the StarStation Alpha Prime. I told you guys that you needed to start hand picking your CSO's and getting your requests in. LordDavid took it to heart and got his request in first. Congratulations Commander Echo, Now take it easy on your new boss. Keep him out of trouble. ------------------ Rattler, Spectre, Insurgent One Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Old Age and Treachery will ALWAYS win out over Youth and Exuberance!" Insurgents, Our profiles have been requested in another thread. Hop to it Commanders! Get 'em done and sent to Commander Kristophers, "On The Double!" I'm as negligent as the rest of you, so I guess I'd better get busy as well. Mike, if I knew exactly what you wanted, I'd have a beter idea of just how to put it together. If you've got a sample (like your own) for me to review, I might get it done ASAP. Could you send me yours? Also, GET ICQ! I can't speak directly with you if your Radio's not working! Now, let's keep this topic on this thread and keep it off the New America Thread. Again, another ORDER! ------------------ Rattler, Spectre, Insurgent One Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Old Age and Treachery will ALWAYS win out over Youth and Exuberance!" Ahem, Maybe I'd better make things clear, once and for all. Almost 2 years ago some of my GOOD friends and I hatched this hair brained idea that we could start our own fleet. These Friends were Chavik, Akira, Jester, LordDavid, and Finder1. You'll never find better friends! We had this idea that if it could be sold to the SC, it would give others the perrogative to be something other than Galcom Officers. We hatched this plan and I took it to both Commander DeSylva and ultimately the SC Himself for approval. It was a risky project, trust me on this one. We were attempting to actually go in and assume the characters of a caste that Derek had dreamed up long ago. He gave us his blessings and placed me in command of this Insurgency, charging me with the responsibility of keeping it clean, neat, and organized in a Military style of "good order and discipline!" I must repeat, there were more than just myself who started Spectre Fleet. I was just lucky enough to have been elected to take the Idea to the SC. That's how and why I'm Insurgent One! Having accepted that position, I have and will continue to maintain "good order and discipline" within the Insurgency. I'm by no means a dictator, rather a complete leader who understands that some choices that I make will not be viewed favorably by all. Rarely will I request from the Insurgency. I Order The Insurgence! Pawns? In a sense, Yes I guess you are right there Chris. My personal Pawns? Not in the least. We are ALL pawns of the Insurgency. We always will be just that. Please do not, for one minute, believe that I will allow dissention to exist inside the Insurgency. Morale? I think we have the highest Morale of any Fleet/Caste in the game today. I'm sure that all of the other Fleet Commanders believe that of their own Fleets as well. They shouldn't be Fleet Commanders if they do not believe that. As for what started all of this and what caused you (Chris) to post like you did, I don't have a clue. I've given promotions to those that I considered deserving, opened up new areas of advancement to everyone, and created new ones for every Insurgent to strive for, even the new Insurgent that joins today can now see a path, if he works hard at it, to get advanced far enough to become a StarStation Commander. I hope everyone caught that! Now, I'll leave you with a story of one young (Real Life) Sailor who was once told by his Chief to "clean out his locker and move to another ship!" Not wanting this transfer, the young Sailor replied to his Chief, "but I like this one just fine Chief!" Not to be outdone, His Chief replied, "That's why they call them ORDERS! Now get moving Son!" Ive remembered My Chief's words all these years and understood why HE was the Chief. Now Insurgency, the choice is yours. Either Folow Insurgent One, or make your own choices. You just won't be Insurgents. Hope I'm clear on this. ------------------ Rattler, Spectre, Insurgent One Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Old Age and Treachery will ALWAYS win out over Youth and Exuberance!" I can find no evidence of your posting before 2/10/00, and that thread is gone, just the posting date. I have no idea why it was deleted. I didn't do it! As to why you were banned, again, I have no idea but, if you want to start with a clean slate, I'm game. Best advice that I can give is keep it fun, keep it clean, and keep it on subject. No frivolous posting, no bushwhacking the SC or the game, and try to blend in for a while. Find a confidant if you must, but ease your way into it. I'm available most nights on ICQ if you have questions. My ICQ number is in my signature. There are many capable Commanders here more than willing to help those who are willing to help themselves as well. Enjoy the Website, enjoy the Game, and Keep The Faith! That's all anyone can ask of ANY of us up here. Have a good day, Commander! ------------------ Rattler, Spectre, Insurgent One Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Old Age and Treachery will ALWAYS win out over Youth and Exuberance!"

Ratter arrived in his stateroom and was immediatley greeted with "Message follows: Rattler, Jester's home." He smiled to himself and immediately sent a return message, knowing that Jester would be crashed in his "rack" sleeping like a baby in his mother's arms. His message was simple and to the point. "Jester, get packed. There's a new spot I want you to check out. It's called "New America!" find the Commander's Office and if someone is in it, Throw the SOB out! That's your NEW Home!" "Rattler.....Out!" Next, Rattler's Thoughts went out to The Corsair. Where are you Pirate? Long time since you visited Spectre. Any chance of your return? ------------------ Rattler, Spectre, Insurgent One Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Old Age and Treachery will ALWAYS win out over Youth and Exuberance!"

Been reading my mind Ron for those who missed it, Ram├│n du Sandau is none other than our very own Jester. Ram├│n was his character in The Calm Before The Storm. His other handle was Lurker. Well, after the SC's bombshell below, I've now editid this post to what I now see as our future. Finder1---Chief Security Officer, StarStation Destiny (Chavik asked for you by name Finder1) Commander Antilles will report to StarStation Spectre HQ as my CSO. My Choice! StarStation/StarBase Commanders, I intend to have a Chief Security Officer in place on EVERY Facility that we have. With the exceptions that I have already listed above, I want each Facility Commander to give me his recommendations for his Chief Security Officer. OK? Hand Pick Him/Her if you want. We'll sort it out if more than one of you want the same one One last thing to note. I've been thinking about rotating Facilities Commanders from CSO to StarBase Commander to StarStation Commander to show growth and a way of advancement. I've thought about semi-annual to annual assignments. Yes, I'm thinking Long-Term here! I'd like your thoughts on this one. Good Luck on your assignments, and "Long Live The Insurgency!" Last time I checked, Bases, Squadrons, Ships, etc; all fell cognizant to the Fleet Commander. Example (Real Life) NAS Oceana Va, USS Eisenhower, and VF-33 all answers to Cinc-Lant-Fleet. So, to keep within the guidelines that Derek has drawn out, If it's an Insurgent Asset, It answers to Insurgent One, be that myself or anyone acting in my stead. With the inclusion of more than one StarStation now, this will have to be modified some. Not to worry, we'll sort it out and come up with an understandable solution. Ron, Charles, Jester, Gum, Mike, you guys have any thoughts? ------------------ Rattler, Spectre, Insurgent One Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Old Age and Treachery will ALWAYS win out over Youth and Exuberance!"

Gentlemen, Thanks for volunteering to take "New America" off my hands, but the choice for her New Commander will be a tough one. One normally get's promoted from a lesser ship or station to a Higher Order based upon their past performances and stature. As I previously stated in another thread, I will not take her myself because I already have a home. When the time is right, I'll promote the Commander of Choice, and then reach out to the remainder of the Insurgency to fill in his/her vacated spot. Additionally, I intend to assign a Starstation Commander to Sygan, again with the SC's approval (don't have it yet) once BCM becomes available. Keep this in mind as well. This will leave two open slots to fill. Bottom line....Keep visible, keep busy, and....Keep the Faith Insurgents. Great things loom on the horizon. We can either Read History or MAKE IT! Which do you want to do? ------------------ Rattler, Spectre, Insurgent One Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Old Age and Treachery will ALWAYS win out over Youth and Exuberance!"
