Firestar. Thats rubbish. First of all, anyone wanting to run around on the planet, needs to ensure that they are on a broadband connection. The planetary aspect of the game is the most bandwidth intensive, due to the massive amount of data that needs to be sent to EACH client. I was planning on tweaking this at some point, buy never got around to it yet. So, I'm not surprised that clients will lose packets. As far as OUR servers crashing (because of planetary actions). Thats rubbish. I just checked the logs - including the WIN2K logs - and see no evidence of that. If anything, its the client thats crashing if they can't handle the [client side] processing. The performance of the planetary aspect of the game is the same in sp and mp. So if you get crappy performance in the sp game, you'll get the same in an mp game - which is further compounded by the network processing.

Thats between them and Dreamcatcher. Nothing to do with us. If someone orders UCAWA and gets UC, they should know what to do. Besides, it says QUITE CLEARLY on that Amazon page that the item is NOT AVAILABLE. So I don't see how anyone would be able to order it.

It recently came to our attention that Dreamcatcher illegally started producing and selling the jewel case version of Universal Combat. Not only do they no longer have the rights to neither BCM Gold nor UC, but they didn't have the rights to manufacture a new SKU. They actually took our original MS Word manual manuscript, converted it to PDF, then included it on a separate CD-ROM. So, in the jewel case version, CD-ROM #1 is the original 1.00.00 of the game. They did it this way because we - given the termination and the on-going problems we've had with them - refused to give them a jewel case version of the game, which would have been a single CD-ROM containing the latest version of the game and the PDF manual. So, essentially, since they didn't have the ability to create a new CD-ROM of our latest build (v2.00.30), they went with the original Gold Master from 2004 and just added a second CD-ROM for the PDF manual, since they couldn't integrate it into the original GM. To this end, we have invalidated all un-used (North American and European) CD-KEYs and banned them on the master server. This means that multiplayer will no longer authenticate for these keys. If you own a boxed copy of UC which you purchased prior to May 12th, 2005 (the date of the contract termination) and your CD-KEY was rejected by the master server; please contact us at [email protected] for a replacement CD-KEY. Be sure to include your banned CD-KEY in the email!! You may be required to provide proof of purchase; but since we know which keys were used during which period, this may not be necessary. If you purchased a copy of either the boxed or jewel case version AFTER the date above, please contact Dreamcatcher or your retail directly, for a refund or other remedy. Did you see Sin City? I rated that a 10 on the gore scale. I rate Kill Bill Vol 1 a 9. So, on that note, how does Saw II rank against those two?

By popular demand and in light of the game now available on various sites (TryMedia, Direct2Drive) etc we have today released a new and updated demo. This version uses the latest v1.00.09 game kernel incorporates tweaked versions of all the twelve scenarios, including tutorials for them includes new content and graphics fx not seen in the previous demos includes newly enabled features not available in the previous demos. e.g. you will now be able to exit your command craft in space or on a planet.
