Comms and some surface combat questions

I even mention the same thing further down. quote: Originally posted by Supreme Cmdr: Please stop refering to something as a bug until it has been confirmed as such. Anyway, it works fine here. I tried both 1.0.07 and 1.0.08 RC20. There is NO correlation between having no missiles and the gun's firing. Quite simply, you're not waiting for it to charge. quote: I have another question then. Well, if the ATV needs to recharge, how to do it? Simply leaving it some time on the CC?Here we go again. Read the manual. Its in there - exactly where it should be. I didn't understand a word of that. Do you mind actually making that more comprehensive?

Shields and armor are not the only attributes which determine a station's integrity. And they do come back online, usually after eight hours (real time) or so. Read the manual

NASA's $125m error caused the loss of the Mars Orbiter

So complicated for nothing, while the metric system is both easy and practical .. to convert inches to miles I must do the inches -> centimeters -> kilomters -> miles because I have no idea how many inches there's in a mile. The metric system is all about multiples of 10. Then you need Versaverter (which I link to in the VCF for exactly this reason). -
It works fine here, even in RC18 and the RC20 level I'm working with. I will open up an issue in the Beta forum and see if they can reproduce it.

Yep, Jumpgate is a far better game than this EnB travesty. All its [EnB] got is big publisher money and a massive marketing blitz. Thats how they [publishers] get you.

Day at the Movies - Various (incl. The Ring & The Transporter)

This move is NOT for the weak hearted!!!!! Yes, its that scary in some parts. I'm waiting for Ghost Ship -
Yeah, that oil fight is just freaking amazing. It reminds of how legacy Chinese movies were done. You know, the hero gets his arse kicked royally - and then at the last minute, he decides to try some new style his teacher (or mother-in-law) taught him. Thats always been the cool part in such Chinese movies. They don't make 'em like they used to. This was the last type of movie I expected from Jason Stratham. I've seen almost every movie he's been in (check out Snatch, Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels etc. Hilarious capers). Luc Besson (The Professional (aka Leon), La Femme Nikita etc) isn't know for sequels, but this one might just have one. I sure hope so!

If you own one of these cards, you probably already know that there is nasty bug which affects the terrain. I installed the recently released fix for NHL2003 and lo and behold, that fix also fixes the terrain problem in BCM/BCG. This is what it looked like on these boards in every driver released so far. This and this is what it now looks like So, if you have one of these cards, download these non-WHQL drivers and install them. Be sure to uninstall the current driver and ATI control panel applet first! Then reboot and install the new driver update.

Yesterday, I did something I have'nt done in a while. I watch four movies in row. Back to back. I had promised myself that I was going to take the entire weekend off because I've been under a lot of stree lately. Since there's no such thing as relaxing in my household, I decided to go the therapeutic route and headed out of the house. If I was in NYC, I'd just go wandering around. But Florida being what it is, you have to frigging drive everywhere to find anything to do. So, I grabbed the newspaper, put the top of my car down, climbed in and headed for lunch. Determined to make this a relaxing day. At lunch, I mapped out a plan of action which had me seeing four movies in a row and with barely minutes between each one. Here is what I saw: Red Dragon @ 1.15pm - 10/10 The Tuxedo @ 3.25pm - 7/10 The Transporter* @ 5.25pm - 10/10 The Ring (sneak preview) @ 7.30pm - 10/10 The theatre I go to has stadium seating, awesome sound and the works. I had packed my own snack, plus a canister of iced tea, which I snuck in between two rolled up mags (Maximum PC and Game Developer). Man, it was great!! I got home a little before 10pm, took a shower, raided the fridge, watched the news a bit. And passed out. *what? surely you didn't think I'd see that once, did you? Pretty good film. Dunno why it was on ice for so long. I guess they wanted to cap on the xXx (Vin Diesel's in this one too) fame so they released it now. Good gansta story, nothing over the top. Quite good, I thought. But don't go in expecting any Al Pacino type gansta stuff though. 9/10 [ 10-11-2002, 07:33 PM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]

arghhhhhh!!!! oh wait.... brb arghhhhhhh!!!!!! 'e's back!!! 'e's back!!! Luc Besson is back. Don't walk - RUN - to see this movie. Man, if I hadn't seen Knockaround Guys first, I'd go see this twice, back to back. 10/10

Comms and some surface combat questions
Supreme Cmdr replied to Fernando Luis Garcia's topic in Battlecruiser 3000AD (Legacy)
quote: Originally posted by Urza: Ah, I didn't even think of that. I thought only FCs needed to be charged in that manner. It seems I was wrong. Unlike the CC which requires Radine for reactor operation (and thus the engines), the FC/IC/OC all use a solid state battery (Dear God, forgive me for that particular piece of sci-fi blasphemy) which will eventually run out of charge. Everything - and I mean everything (guns, reactor, engine etc etc) all run off the battery. The reason you have never run out of power while flying a support craft, is because I set the battery charge pretty high. Eventually it will run out. -
