  1. I'll probably release it, along with the sample scripts I have - and then just ignore any and all posts if I don't have time to respond.

  3. Dunno. I was going to release them with the last patch, but Gallion and guys talked me out of it; due to the deluge of question which would erupt therein.
  4. BCM, BCG and BCTC are all separate games and none work hand in hand with the other. Whether you get BCM now or later, is up to you. The risk you run is that there may be some features in BCM which will be removed from BCG for design reasons. [ 05-29-2002, 18:22: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]

  12. quote: Originally posted by Paradox 01: I recently bought BC: Millennium, and when I tried to play the game after installing it, all I got was some damn "Safe Disc" logo that popped up for about 10 seconds then...nada, zip, zilch, big fat goose egg. I've tried opening the game various ways (shortcuts, Program Files>BCM, everything) and nothing works. The game installs fine, from what I can tell, and I get no warnings that my comp might not be able to handle it. If you are running the latest patch, you should not see the SafeDisc logo. At all. Only the BCM logo should pop-up and then disappear. And if you are running the latest patch and you still see the default SD logo, then you botched the patch. Apart from the above, read the FAQ - as Perry pointed out.
  13. Launch a shuttle and have it tow your CC to a station, where you can they perform repairs. If you can't launch. Well, yes, press that huge RED button marked DO NOT TOUCH!!

  16. quote: Originally posted by xierxior: Will BCG contain the same feature set as the origional one planned for xp-1? Yes. There are no plans to change the feature set. Its just a product name change. Similar to changing BC:3020AD to BCM (if you recall). Sure, a couple of items may get revised, dropped, added etc but the notion is not that a name change means a product change. Its just a name and focus change.
  17. I have never laughed so hard this week. OK, at some point or another, you've probably received this spam. Here is a hilarious accounting of how one humourous person, struck back. It is truly, truly, funny stuff. Please pass it around.
  18. quote: Originally posted by Vanethian: quote:Originally posted by Rm: I hope it doesn't require a box, since those of us (including me), who ordered from BMT and did not get a box I think the CDKEY is a valid POP... so don't worry about the box... Yep
  19. quote: Originally posted by Dredd: So the SC is milking us for even MORE money by making it stand alone? If you had waited for the official annoucement (just like I said in the first post), you'd then know that existing BCM owners will be able to purchase BCG at reduced price. Naturally, POP required. Wait for the official announcement and quit making assumptions.
  20. Later this week, I will be releasing an official statement regarding the products we have been working on, the revised plans etc etc. Until then, you will see some new forums now available for discussions.
  21. The original plans to release add-ons for BCM, have been changed. Due to the sheer amount of work that has gone into the BCM engines since it was released back in November 2001, and also because the EB exclusive made it difficult for other retailers (they're pissed) to stock the product, XP1 is now a full product. The fourth title in the Battlecruiser series, called Battlecruiser Generations The real-world units created and designed for XP2 will be used on the pre-nuclear BCO server which, unlike other servers, doesn't support sci-fi units. Since you will be able to have up to five characters per account (in BCO), you will be able to play with real-world or sci-fi units depending on which server you are on. No, there won't be any cross-overs. So, no flying an S-Fighter from Sygan to Earth and blowing up a wing of F14 Tomcats. Official announcements coming soon [ 05-28-2002, 15:21: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]
