  1. OK, I'll check that. You weren't clear in your first post as to what the problem was. UPDATE: Yep, the roll axis on the joystick and controllers are swapped. The keyboard A/D/L_Arrow/R_Arrow are correct. Looks like this happened in the previous update due to the roll/yaw revisions.
  2. For those of you who just mess with settings not knowing what they do and how you could screw up your game, I have added the following section of the game's FAQ. This is specifically since the game now supports much higher FSAA settings as of the v2.10.04 path.
  3. Funny thing happened on my way to church this morning. I heard on the news that the sky was falling. So I ran back inside. My daughter later convinced me that it was all in my head and that maybe I needed to rest. My wife just slapped me instead. That kinda brought me back to my senses.
  4. It works fine here. I just tried it again just to be sure. You don't press and move the stick. Please read the manual. You move the controller L, the craft goes L. You move it R, it goes R. If you have another controller (e.g. joystick) plugged in, unplug it.
  5. The patch server is offline for a few mins. Try downloading the patch in a hour. If you downloaded it before, you will need to download it again.

  7. I don't think anyone will be kicking Resnig around, since you're not the commander. You're either a combat pilot or marine. If anything, Resnig will be kicking your butt around the ship; especially if you're caught in areas you're not supposed to be in. But yeah, Resnig is very much in the game....and running around loose on KnightBlade. God help us all.
  8. The game works with FSAA + HDR just fine. Exactly what I said above and that they are enabled by DEFAULT. Also, you are playing the demo. Please buy the full game if you want tech support. Please stop posting in threads related to the full game. Thanks.
  9. The demo obviously does not contain the narrated tutorial. Also. you shouldn't be posting this here if you have the demo. *moved*
  10. Well, as a pilot, you won't be doing much in first person inside the carrier. Since you can only use pistols (like in our previous games), if the ship does get boarded and you get in the way, you're probably going to get killed because intruders don't bring pistols. They bring weapons of mass destruction. As a marine, you can engage or hide, since they won't be coming after you. But if you don't participate and they get to the bridge and take out the commander, its game over. The way I'm developing it, the scenario can be played from either the pilot or marine perspective. Since they are individual scenarios, if you don't want to play as a marine, you don't have to. I wanted to blend in both gameplay types into one game and expend all resources into this game, rather than doing two (KnightBlade + Bravo Team) games. So now its only one. I'm just looking forward to being part of an all out galley brawl. Since its going to be randomized, you won't kow when its going to start or why. It'll just happen.
  11. hehe, those shots are nothing. They aren't even properly lit yet and the character models are just placeholders from our existing 3D dB until the final ones are done. Like the carrier, we're building all the character models from scratch. I'll release shots of the other ship levels as they become available. This is going to rock!!
  12. *moved* Please don't post non-tech issues in the tech support forum. The tutorial was scripted so that you follow it according to what is written/spoken. Thats why there is a standard and narrated version. Pick one.
  13. There's nothing broken about it. Especially since AA (x2) and HDR are enabled by default. Check your drivers. In the future, if you post stuff like this, leaving people to guess what you're talking about, your post will be deleted on sight. Nobody knows what graphics card you have etc.
  14. More info on the products page.
  15. While the article does make sense, he is forgetting one critical issue: he seemingly underestimates the loyalty of his install base. My guess is that those already loyal to Stardock, won't pirate the game. Hence the huge sales (they are correct, according to NPD). Also, word of mouth is a powerful thing. Piracy is clear and present. Not including copy protection doesn't mean anything; other than (a) causing some minor hassles for end-users ( inviting casual pirates to actually steal the game instead of buying it. If Brad thinks that those pirates outside North America and who can't even buy the game are going to all of a sudden get religion, he's just being naive.
  16. My bad. I forgot to update the patch server when I re-released the patch. Fixed now. OK, thats the end of that then.
  17. I have no new information. If you're waiting for the boxed release, my guess is you're going to be waiting awhile since its not my top priority and I haven't done anything about it yet.
  18. I have re-issued the DVD-ROM version of this patch. If anyone has a problem with the new build, please report it in this thread
  19. I have been unable to reproduce this problem. So I have re-issued this patch. Anyone else with the DVD-ROM can please download the patch via the patch page or the in-game updater, run it and let me know if there are any problems. In the meantime, I will look at your msinfo file and confer with the Sony guys to see if we spot anything suspicious.
  20. Which sounds are you talking about? The game has several channels and the 'mother' channel is the loudest for exactly the reason you mention. The only background sounds being played all the time are: music, comms channel, fighter engine You can only turn off music and the comms channel. Not sure why you'd want to turn off the fighter engine but mother's sound channel is louder than those engines. Maybe we can setup a match this weekend. btw, you are aware that if you just want to play against NPC opponents, you don't need to log on to the remote server. You can start a console server on your machine, minimize it, then connect to it. The instructions are in the docs.

  22. Also, I need you to remove the media from the drive and reboot the machine before trying this test again. And if it still doesn't work, I'm gonna need you to send me your MSINFO file. You can run MSINFO by either going to START/RUN and typing: msinfo32 /report c:\my_msinfo.txt or by creating a shortcut to the program and given it the parameters required. See below. "C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\MSInfo\msinfo32.exe" /report c:\my_msinfo.txt Then zip up the my_msinfo.txt file (located in the root of your C:\ drive) and send to me via email. From what I can tell, the SecuROM version has changed between the v1.00.04.01 patch and the v1.00.05 patch. So since it works here, my guess is that you may have a conflicting memory resident program that SecuROM is unable to detect (and thus tell you to stop it) and thus causing the problem.
  23. I didn't refresh the file before you downloaded it. Download it again now and try again. In my testing, I am not getting ANY errors here anymore and it works fine.
  24. OK, I have refreshed the file. Try it now please. Download this update. Also plz try it with/without the DVD-ROM media in the drive. You should get a prompt if the media is absent.
  25. We have temporarily pulled the DVD-ROM version of this patch until further notice. The patch downloads page has links to the previous patch version in case you already updated to this version and are having problems. Simply download and apply the previous patch on top of current one. No need to uninstall the game. I have also updated the game's VCF to reflect a major - and hopefully final - v1.00.06 update to the ol' gal.
