I think its server dependent. I remember seeing a setting in UBB to fix this. Lemme to 'ave a look. Fixed! [This message has been edited by Supreme Cmdr (edited 05-04-2000).]

Thanks Mano, I fixed those links earlier today when I did a scan on the page. hehe, I got so many emails about the site being down, you'd think I had died or something. What an amazing community this is. You guys are the best. www.bc3000ad.com has already resolved and just points to 3000ad.com now. The new host has a bunch of new toys: IRC, MajorDomo, PostOffice, Finger, mySQL, PHp etc. Now that we have mySQL, am gonna look for volunteers to setup the new fleet and roster databases. Anyone up to the challenge? No newbies please. [This message has been edited by Supreme Cmdr (edited 05-03-2000).]

InterNic have resolved the DNS for bc3000ad.com, so all that should be sorted out now. And no, am not reversing the order of the posts again. Did that once and I barely escaped a righteous lynching. The site will be a little slow until Vservers fix their T3 problem.

The move to the brand spanking new Vserver host server was pretty uneventful. Jim and I have been configuring the site for the past 2 days and I just finished putting in the finishing touches. All looks fine. If anyone notices anything weird, let me know. One thing you will notice is that the primary DNS address is now 3000ad.com instead of bc3000ad.com

Keep sending them out on sorties and their DF and BA skills will go up. Yes, they will use highly advanced tactics depending on their AI and skill levels.
-
uhm, then use the Playboy one (?). The one on Geocities was the original and has probably been pulled.
-
The AI is pre-trained, not dynamically. And it would need to be trained to do that. The only thing you can expect is that if you run into it again, it would be fully repaired and may use different combat tactics. But it won't specifically know to react better (eg new combat tactics) if you run into it again. In a combat engagement, it will employ a variety of tactics however. You've probably corrupted your game using Playmod. Apart from that, the FEs won't check an IC unless it was flagged to be checked, so, the system automatically clears the IC. Nothing to do with FEs.

Which one of you has been drinking? He is talking about the driver, hence the use of the word unzip. Lockjaw, do what the FAQ says, read the READTHIS.TXT file included in the driver zip file.

hey, can we keep all the humor in a single thread please?

You should've done the research before buying the computer. If you can't disable the on-board video from the BIOS, you're screwed six ways from Sunday (or was that Friday?). [This message has been edited by Supreme Cmdr (edited 04-28-2000).]

Some news I just heard (you may already know)
Supreme Cmdr replied to Adam Thomas's topic in General Chatter
It is old news. I got it 2 days ago and its working fine. Just don't expect to have it convert your ICQ99b databases correctly. In order to do that, you have to let it attempt to convert them, it will most likely choke (like it did here), then, once its up and running, shut it down and go to the 2000a folder where it stores the new databases, and delete everything. Then, copy the ICQ99b backup database (I'm assuming you backed it up) into that 2000a folder and fire up ICQ 2000a. Once it comes up and detects the old database in the new folder, it will conver them just fine. [This message has been edited by Supreme Cmdr (edited 04-27-2000).] -
Yes, they are still copyrighted and I only have the MIDI files lying around somewhere. I don't have the equipment to do MP3 formats, thats why I have a sound guy, Markus.

No problem, I got confused too at one point. BC:3020AD will be my last single-player title actually. I plan on just concentrating and building GCO to a phenomenal extent. In fact, the only reasons I'm doing BC:3020AD are (a) I am committed to the O3D engine development with John, over at www.mysticgd.com and ( I still want to do a seamless indoor/outdoor game since BCM and BCTE can't exist in the same engine space because they use different engines. John's engine makes this possible and if you haven't seen it yet, go over there and download the demos. Check out the partners page while you're there.

hello everyone , I'm new and I would like some tips
Supreme Cmdr replied to a topic in Battlecruiser Series
Great news Mano!! As for the name, don't worry, you can hang on to it for now because I don't have any plans for it. And yes, BCM opens up a whole new ballgame indeed. btw, jamming STO missiles has a 95% failure rate, which means, if you see one coming, its going to hit you. Period. And you can't just duck out of orbit either. I'm not saying anything else, my lips are sealed. Lets just say that if you are foolish enough to allow even one of them to leave the surface, you most likely won't live to talk about it. -
These songs are copyrighted 3000AD, if I find them on Napster or anywhere else, there'll be hell to pay. Enough said. BCM theme song (2.8 MB) BCM runtime song 1 of 12 (1.8 MB) [This message has been edited by Supreme Cmdr (edited 04-26-2000).]

Old Vessel Roster 6/99
Supreme Cmdr replied to SpcFX's topic in General Multiplayer Fleet Discussions
There will be a brand new one, in time for BCM and it will use a database frontend. -
