FINALLY moved a couple of weeks ago, got my DSL in last week and my backup cable internet line today. Can't believe how long it's taken for everything to come together. This is also a MASSIVE problem in Italy. In many parts of the world, water is subsidized by Utilities that are run by inefficient governments. Since these utilities are not run by private enterprise for a profit, they see no reason to upgrade their failing water systems so people in London and Italy have to go through countless days in "drought" conditions which MANY times are caused by waste, not only in the leaking deteriorating systems that they have, but also by the customers themselves that place no REAL value on something that is provided to them at such astoundingly cheap prices. It's been proven that when Utilities raise prices by as little as 10%, there is as much as a 10% reduction in water usage. Why? Because it costs more and people want to save money.
