I found a free translation site http://www.freetranslation.com/ it does it either from English to the target language or target language to english. This is how it translated your text: Si vous parlez Français, la poste dans ici s'il vous plaît. Merci. Non vraiment, remercie Hope it's useful for ya in the future. You can use it to talk to Jascatar in his own language that would be so cool. POST MORTEM Hmmm, I just did a cut and paste on what that site translated for me in French. Waddya know, it did a translation back to english that read just like Jascatar's english. Oh well, I guess nothing is perfect. Must be the low end translator version they use for the freebee. He, he, he can be like our forum mascot or something. Well at least this whole episode is outa the way. You can sit back and have a cold brew. What amazes me about this whole thread is the fact that only when you made a comment about no one helping with the translation did any help come in with that. Now they are comming outa the woodwork. I guess better late than never. The threat of banning them I think was the key factor. -

quote: Jacatar, I have decided not to ban you because I think the problem is the language barrier (where are the goddamn foreign legion when you need them? Maybe I should ban Epsilon 5). Screw it, you're obviously not a pirate and I don't think you fully understand what we're even talking about. So, I'm going to send you a CDKEY. Great puplic relations move SC. As for being a pirate, you are 100% correct in your assumption. I mean why would anyone admit to the fact they have obtained a copy (by any means) with no manual, Cdkey etc.... He was just that desperate to obtain the game he let caution go bye bye. And I'm glad he's not going to be banned cause I was just getting use to his quirky english . quote: As soon as I'm done, I'm going to ban ALL French speaking forum members. Yeah, that includes you lazy Canadians who I KNOW speak French and didn't see it fit to help this guy out with translations and stuff. As for the canadians did you expect any thing otherwise. They didn't even help us out with Iraq. And now to add insult to injury they won the Olympics. Anyway again -

It sure beat the pants off that Buck Rodgers series that cropped up on tv around the same time. Well I did enjoy it until the cast change and they wound up on earth. It's like the writers went brain dead on it.It wasn't the writers' fault. It was an executive decision. The program was popular but, because of the emphasis on special FX, it was also expensive to produce (computer-generated FX weren't practical until STNG). So the Suits figured they could keep the audience and save big bucks at the same time. Yeah you are right I should have included the suits as well since they are the ones that okay every inch of the production. -

Alot of the game box art goes unrecognized and that's a shame. Hmmm, Silver box too bad it won't be a tin. I finally bought my first tin box with Jedi Knight II and it came with a light saber key chain very cool indeed . Hmmmm, ya think we should start a new topic Game Box Collectors. I also have three lucas arts games Pod Racer, Phantom menace, Xwing aliance and they are signed and have never been opened. Although they are just lithographic embossed signatures. I'm kicking myself now I went into FAO Schwarts after seeing the phantom menace and they had a limited number of Pod Racer boxes with an actual signature by the creator they wanted $80 for it but I didn't have it at the time (I had my nephews with me and they sucked my pockets dry of cash). I went back and the boxes were all gone. -

quote: Thats funny. I just bought the game the other day for $1.99 from an EB. Then it occurred to me after I left the store that the game may no longer be in service. But I figured for $2 and supposedly 30 days free, who cares? I remembered SC (I think it was on the GoneGold board) said it was the closest to a decent MMO space game.I did install it and tinkered with it but it piss poor if your not logged on to their server. Oh well at least the box is somewhat cool with a collectors number on it. Yeah I'll admit, I am game box collector. I have games and their boxes that I bought going back to the late 80's like Star flight 1 & 2, Space Quest III and the original Heroes Quest game before Sierra was sued over the game name and they changed it to Quest For Glory. Yeah I have boxes coming outa my rear orifice but the boxes are cool. I was really peeved off when they announced the smaller boxes but I have become acustomed to them and they are kinda cool even though they look like a bunch of mini-me's compared to their bigger cousins and they do give me more room for more boxes . You all may laugh now about the boxes but do you know that the last Atari game that came out for the original Atari console system is worth a fortune now but only if it's complete with box and all. Can't remember the name of the dang game. And now BCMG has taken it's honored place among my box collection. -

Has anyone played or plays this MMOG JumpGate: The reconstruction initiative from 3do? I did buy the game months ago for $3 bucks (Gamestop) but didn't bother signing up for the online pay play. 3do is coming out Jumpgate II. So I am assuming the first one is still being played and is doing well. And if you've never heard of it check out http://www.gamespot.com/pc/sim/jumpgatetheri The game does look pretty. -

As soon as I get my next check, thats what I'll be doing. Also, dig around in rpgdot.com and you can find all the info you want on Gothic 2. Cheer's Cool, glad to hear that the english version is finally comming out here in the US. I can wait till october though cause I have a few games that I need to catch up on and finish now. It'll be good to play it on those cold winter nights . I did try the german version demo when it was first released and the graphics are a vast improvement over gothic 1. Too bad I only remember a scattering of german from my college days taking only German 101 then.

Activision sues Viacom over Star Trek Marketing

quote:Originally posted by Marvin: Considering the quality of most Star Trek simulations, I'd say Viacom should counter-sue. Hey they've improved a hell of a lot. Take Elite force and Star Trek bridge command. Now we have Elite force II I played the demo and it's way better than the first Elite Force. Klingon academy is another good game but that was made by 14 deg. East and published by Interplay and I still play it when I just want to quickly go beat up on some star ships. Viacom should be sued by Activision and all the fans for the simple fact that they are single handidly killing a very long standing franchise. I hope Activision kicks their A$$. And it just figures as soon as trek games start to kick A$$ in game play the rug is pulled out from under our feet. Bloody murphy's law! History is repeating itself. Reminds me of the struggle Roddenbery had with the TV executives with the first series. They wanted a kiddy space western they thought that his version would be too cerebral for the average TV viewer and Roddenberry wanted it the way he had it. They compromised. The original pilot that stared Jeffery Hunter as captain christopher pike was then stitched in to a William Shatner episode so it wouldn't go to waste. The only reason the series lasted 3 seasons was that on the last season the network kept changing it's air time. That's a death nell to any series. -

Would you believe where I did find it on the Akella's native language web site Russian (yes it's a russian company) so here it is in Russian. It's not too bad most of the important info is in English. You can read it below or if you just wanna check the site out go here http://www.akella.com/seadogs2/game-overview-ru.html hmmm they never updated the sites name to the new name Pirates of the Carribean. But as SC has said don't believe what you read about minimum req most companies deflate the req so low it's almost a fraudulant claim. Yeah sure most games will run on the min systems but that is when you tweek down the game (video res and 3d and the audio) you end up playing a game that resembles the first doom . That game was good but when you ship side it kinda felt like you were on a ghost ship there was crew but they were invisible . Now with Sea Dogs II everything is there including crew and very sweet looking water. I dloaded the orginal Sea Dogs II trailer some time ago long before there was even a clue about the backdoor deal with Disney and it knocked me socks off the trailer was like that of a high production movie. I have it somewhere on a CDR I wonder if it will be a collectible one day. [ 07-02-2003, 12:13 AM: Message edited by: LostInSpace ]

I'm hoping these titles live up to my expectations. Money's tight, (as alway's), but I can usually figure a way to get what I want. (Ahhh, its good to be King around here). Now I need to find time to play them. Anyone else? I was enthusiastic about Sea Dogs II oopppss I mean Pirates of the carribean till they sold out and Disney! But it still looks like a good game since it's still basically Sea Dogs underneath it all. As for Gothic 2 man the first one was cool.
