If this guy did make all this up out of spite what an fertile immagination he's got. As for the email. That whole thing was handled rather poorly. First off the publisher should have sent the un-altered email to law enforcement first US and European. If they confirm the contents as true then you publish. If after they've investigated and came up with no way then forget it. Either way the originater of the Email should have been posted as to the outcome and to their intent on this matter. But since they did not all they got and deserve now are headaches. As for the end user read the web sites disclaimer if it states that they can do whatever they want to your posts or emails don't use that site if you don't like that policy. According to the Key card: TACSCAN COMPUTER Match Designated Target's Speed: D TACTICAL OPERATION SYSTEMS Increase/Decrease PTA Intensity: Shift+'/Shift+; FIRST PERSON MODE Jetpack Roll Left/Right(Space Only): Shift+A/Shift+D The manual seems fine on these also. Although I have not paid much attention to the keys in the manual. I've only used it to get more indept detail on each particular system and any other pertinent information I can (other than key commands). Yeah, you guys gotta watch that about the OS. Just because the program or aplication states the system requirements as Windows 98/ME/2000/XP does not mean that it will run on the server versions of windows. Windows server OS's are coded differently than your basic OS's since their main concern is focusing on server aplications. That's not to say this is true for all applications or programs but it's hit or miss on weather you can run the program or not. Most of the time you can't. I speak from experience with Windows NT. Windows NT programs more than not would not work on my Windows 98 and Windows 98 programs would not work with Windows NT. Unless the program you purchased states otherwise expect it not to work or at least run buggy. That's not to say that the program will not run buggy on your basic home OS editions that's a program's development issue due to some obscure OS issue and the so many drivers out there for all those add on cards IE:Video cards, sound cards, bios version etc.... Sheesh, it's a jungle out there!!!

Yeah, the other bane to astronomers besides cleaning the equipment and alignment: The WEATHER!!! Oh yeah and don't forget that you need to align the reflector or any telescope with the pole star and the scope needs to be balanced for proper object tracking. It's also good to have a 3-4" refractor piggy backed on the scope to properly keep the object centered. The guide scope that usually comes with the telescope is mostly good for only sighting the object. So now you are talking about more calibrating. You need to calibrate the guide scope and the tracking scope so that all objects that appear in the center of the main scope are also centered in all other helping scopes. Phew . I have a meade 6" reflector I bought for $150 in 1979 dollars. Aluminum cast scope stand (man is it heavy) with motor a full set of eye pieces and the all important Barlow lens etc. This scope still rocks. As long as you treat the mirrors and lenses with care they should last a long time. And I agree cleaning the mirror is the one part of the scope that's a pain that is if it needs cleaning that an airbrush can't take care of. A 6" scope is in my opionion a good starter scope for the newbie astronomer.

Sprituality is nothing new to the cinema. Take for example Star Wars specifically The Empire Strikes Back. Luke is flexing his force powers in that movie. He ends up on degoba for his training with yoda and strands his X-wing fighter in a bog. Hmm, there's that damn bog again (if you are wondering why I say that read my message in the ADVENTURES IN STUDITY thread). Anyway, yoda brings him to the fighter and tells him to lift it outa the bog. He can't so with a sigh Yoda gathers up his strength and lifts the ship up and outa the bog and places it on dry land. Luke excalaims "I don't believe it" and Yoda responds "That is why you fail". This idea has also made it into the cartoons. Take for another example the Looney Tunes specifically the Road Runner. How many times have we seen the coyote chasing the road runner and the road runner stops right at the edge of a cliff but the poor coyote keeps going and going and he is doing fine in mid air that is util he realizes where he is and looks down and looks at the camera and swoosh straight down he goes . My point being that all the good movies classic or new add elements of spirituality. You might wanna check into this next item too bad this book and pbs taping was done before the matrix it would have made it in there too. I watched the PBS run of the series and it was very good. Tis the nature of the buisness. Evolution in the gaming industry is taking it's upward course as a result of faster and better computers. Doesn't mean that previous generation games are outdated (well maybe to some of ya). There are quite a few EGA games I've gone back and played because they were that much fun. Same can be said for BCMG. In the years to come, we will all look on this game as a shinning star in the world of "I've beaten this game in three hours" mentality and we will say "those were the good ol' days". And just because someone does come out with a better game in the BCMG style doesn't mean a dang thing just means we owe SC a debt of gratitude for keeping the torch alive for this kind of gaming.
