Star-Force.com Take a look at the picture on the top right. Could this be a guy having trouble with starForce and throwing his hands up in the air because of it and the other two are laughing at him because he wouldn't believe them when they told him that he would have trouble. BTW: Thanks SC for that information. Now I have to look when I install current or new stuff on my system. Maybe that's why I was having problems in the first place. Since reinstalling windows on my system two weeks ago I've not installed anything else but for UC (just lazy with the other stuff) and I've checked and there is no StarForce on my system.

Took me a while to get just the right clips. I wish I had more room on my verizon web page they only give 10mb anything more ya gotta pay. I would have liked to edit out the commercial bits and text. All those clips together are way more than 10mb.

Is it that really a Molson Canadian beer commercial, cuz their commercials are actually meant to be retarded like that...? Unfortunately, yes it's a real commercial. It's meant as a double entendre. Anyway here's my take on the clips. clip 1: Lip sync on that is just excellent. It's funny seeing Yoda and Jar Jar envolved in witty repartee. 2: This clip speaks for itself 3: Now I like animals but that clip just cracked me up. Yeah, yeah it shows animal crulety but it's got just perfect timing which is the key in any humor. 4: I liked this clip. Brings a woman's rejection to the next level. 5: Yeah this clip is rather dumb and that's why I used it. 6: Screams RESNIG what more can I say. You noticed I saved the best for the last.

Ongoing Evidence Of Media Bias
LostInSpace replied to Steve Schacher's topic in Politics, Religion & Legal etc
Here's another great example of media bias Italian, Polish Civilian Hostages Rescued near Baghdad Now I can't find this anywhere on CNN the only thing I did find was this 6 European soldiers killed in Iraq attack . Amazing not one word about the rescue only the deaths. What am I saying, like I expected it to be any different. We all know what the current media machine is aimed at. If you don't believe me, do the search on CNN yourself. Now if CNN was not biased they would have both articles. -

Game developers pay the price for poor movie games
LostInSpace replied to rjy01's topic in PC Gaming & Technology
"Paramount blamed poor box office results of its ``Tomb Raider: Cradle of Life'' film on the poor quality of Eidos Interactive's critically panned ``Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness'' game, which was released first." To me that is just BS that paramount would blame a game for that suck a@# movie. In my opinion, the best way is for the movie companies to review the game itself even before it hits the shelf. Why aren't they doing that in the first place. Right now the door is wide open for movie makers to blame game companies for bad movies. -
Personally, I don't think Saddam was a Buddy at all just another pawn in the cold war between America and Russia. You may not like it but the entire globe was a chess game at that time and America had to play the game or else Russia and it's communism would have had won by default. In October of 1973,the Soviets were urging the Arab oil states to cripple the U.S. economy with embargoes and price hikes. How would you feel now if Russia succeeded because we didn't counter move that. So America had to make deals with little devils to keep the bigger devil at bay. And don't just go around blaiming America for all the world's woes every country played the game too.

Navigation on planets, HOURS
LostInSpace replied to Lord of Lugies's topic in Universal Combat Series
quote:Originally posted by Lord of Lugies: ... it doesent work... unless I am doing it wrong, I am still a noob at this game, so can u run through how it is done? First you might want to make sure you setup your System profile here on the forum. Go into tacops. Select the planet in question a menu will pop up and on the bottom of the menu is OBSERVE click on that. Now you should have the entire surface of the planet before you and just wait a second or two and the base locations will appear. Click on a base and the map will zoom to that location. Usually there's a cluster of bases in a particular area. Now look at the screen to the bottom left you will see a MENU click on that and you will now see the full option click on the WAYPOINT option. Make sure your CC is the selected craft. On the bottom row of options you will see ADD click on that now the option that was in red SETPOS is green. Click on SETPOS now bring the mouse cursor to the map and there will now be a white box with a line attached and just place this wherever you want to bring your ship and click it on the map. WAYPOINT 1 is now set. Get back to the Bridge screen Hud and just turn on Auto Pilot. Now when you make it to your first way point you can land and have your way with the bases in your area. When you are done, you can go back to tacops delete WAYPOINT 1 set another area of the planet with bases and repeat the above steps. Go back to orbit then turn on Auto Pilot. -

The problem was that the turret objects were sometimes not being cleared when you jump from one region to the next. And if any object with a turret happened to be firing at that time, a CTD would occur on the client. 2: Zane, the Commander career cannot asset switch to NPC gunships/fighters/shuttles. Its in the manual addendum PDF file. It is an already powerful career, so I wanted to ensure that the Commander used his own assets instead of leaving them out of harm's way in order to use an NPC one. 1: So that's what it was. Ah, what do I know . Anyway, I'm happy the issue was isolated and taken care of. 2: I Agree or else I'd be doing that all the time while as you say keeping my assest out of harms way. However, the NPC ground vehicles, tanks and such, are just as good since those you can take. -

quote:Originally posted by Zane Marlowe: Well, tonight's action was kind of fun. Marvin, Lost, Gordon, Khan, Chavik and I were onboard for about an hour (I think the others were there longer) and Marvin decided to do a little exploring on Galadran. Unfortunately he decided to use Khan's OC to do it, and when Khan left (I can't remember if he got dumped or quit) Marvin's ride disappeared with it.Thanks for that screen shot looks nice. Yeah it was quite fun. Also, Tuesday night went fairly well as well spent 2 hours in server 3 with no CTD. Wednesday night didn't go so well in that respect. And thanks SC for the new patch seems to have straightened out the jump gate CTD (most noticably the Castrin gate). -
The idea of roach recon isn't as bizarre as it may sound. The Defense Department is already exploring how to use everything from bug-size robots to live wasps for similar tasks. Before warming to the roach idea three years ago, Brinker worked on a Pentagon-funded project to harness honeybees as explosive-sniffing scouts. Ah, the many usefulness of bugs.

As the RIAA tightens the legal noose, music pirates add WASTE, a powerful new tool, to their arsenals. "Trying to stop file sharers is like trying to get rid of roaches: You might stomp one or two when you turn on the kitchen light, but most of them just scurry under the fridge and continue the party there." Oh how true.

Advanced Tactical Laser (ATL) Electric Warship Heralds Evolution in Weapon Technologies In this article, there is mention of an Electro Magnetic Railgun the projectile will be 3 feet long and 40 pounds and will be launched at Mach7. "McGinnisÔÇÖ office also is working on a rail gun that could draw powerful pulses of electricity from a modified IPS/electric drive system to launch projectiles. Propellant is not needed in the rail gun concept because clean electricity launches each round down a rail or through a magnetic coil. The speed with which a rail gunÔÇÖs projectiles travel may deliver thousands of times the kinetic force of a conventional artillery shell, making explosive warheads unnecessary" BTW: These can also be found in Popular Science June 2004 Volume 264 #6. There's also an article about Super Caviating Torpedoes in this issue. I could not find anything on a web search about this.

It would have contained the actors real voices and their facial expressions no game has gone this far to date for the Startrek world. Interplay to me was a risk taker. With all risks sometimes you get burned, sometimes you don't. This is something that seems to be missing from publisher houses these days. When their risks payedoff we got games that pushed the gaming industry forward with new ideas for example: Out of This World, Hostile Waters: Antaeus Rising and Messiah. Their Motto described them best I think "for gamers, by gamers." Agreed, when ya think they were one of the longest running game companies to date. I was rather miffed about the Vulcan Fury also (although not as miffed as I was with sierra when they canned Space Quest 7). Here's a bit more news RPG CODEX: Interplay is a veteran publisher and used to be one of the biggest and best providers of CRPGs in the world. In the last few years, however, their acquisition by French crapfest Titus and general numbskulled management have brought Interplay to the brink of collapse--and beyond. I personaly think the French should stick with Wine and cuisine. [ 06-01-2004, 09:04 PM: Message edited by: LostInSpace ]
