Hi HUWIE, I think I read something like this on another post.... try searching for "SF marine" or directly for "marine" just in case..... However I think that this caused by the AI engine of the soldier.... they are attacking the starstation or escorting they comrades (as you can see in the rightmost video panel) but the marines will only fire if they have a high probability of hit their target, and if you consider that they are usually not facing direcly their target and that the actors are moving, it end up in stuck them doing nothing...... You can kill them but not with your CC primary guns (too big) nor with the PTA ( it doesn't recognise them as valid target 'cos they're too small).... take a hike outside or board a fighter, go to point blank distance and nebulize them with our weapons..... that's all.... See ya...

I've recently tried the INSURGENT campaign in BCMG and I sadly discovered that I cannot trade in illegal items..... I try to explain, i docked to a TER/INS starstation and when I access the tradcom interface i got the same message that I got when playing as TER/MIL..... the report about illegal items, they got confiscated and I got a violation (not true because in TER/INS ACM the violations field in the stat menu report a N/A)..... Now, I don't care about violations as a TER/INS but I can't understand why a TER/INS starstation will be subjected to GALCOM regulations..... .......it's some sort of contradiction.......

Well..... I'm italian so I must wait till it get in stores......but I'll take it ASAP......
-
I agree, I double checked it and I discovered you're right MOST.... sorry for misguiding you but I must surely have missed something.....like my brain.... For UC..... thanks I missed the update in the GNN..... ....(in later times I'm missing too many things..... ) See ya...

I'm with you on this..... it has a better fighter complement and even if it's slower and it has less turrets their sweet spot it's right in front of you.... in the targeting reticule..... so you don't have to do anything else that stick on your target and you're done.... The shield however are superior to the firestorm and even if the firestorm armor is better I think that shield got the precedence..... it's no good to find yourself in a tank without shield.... you surely won't be destroyed.... but you'll have to repair every damned screw on your ship.....

Thanks for answering the first part...but what about the second part of my question? You cant hit me with a RTFM now can you dennymala? Sorry MOST.... but I can only tell you something about BCMG wich is the game I play..... I know nothing of other versions or future project..... ... I'm not in the SC staff.... I can only say that in roam mode you can change the AE gear. In campaign mode you can't..... Apart from that.... what is UC...????? (I'm always a newbie in the end.... )

Personality test: which LOTR character are you most like?
DennyMala replied to Joel Schultz's topic in General Chatter
Well..... I'm most like SAMWISE.... but near FRODO and GANDALF too......... Nice to know..... -
First of all...... RTFM ..... it's all explained there.... The AE gear is based on the kind of deployement you choose.... hit ALT+E and exit in space and you will have a standard SF marine suit with all the standard issue plus a wristlaser (or else you'll die instactly... ), if you choose to drop on a planet you'll be assigned a full MI marine suit + wristlaser.....(no way of be an EF marine and sniping enemies down..... ) You can only change your gear at startup if it's available.... I think that in scripted campaign it can be blocked.....

Yeah!!! Me too, lets teach that gammulan bastards who's the best.......

Barely looking at the screenshot it's crap to me....... BCMG RULES!!!!!

Well.... I agree that it's a good film.... I think that a 8.5-9/10 will suite ...... but pardon me if I will be unpopular amongst USA's sons but that was the only live actions that USA's soldier take in that damned conflict..... I'm italian and our FOLGORE's and TUSCANIA's boys had done most of the job out there and payed most of the prices......... So.... sorry but it's their job.... they choose to do such life and to train themselves to become the best they can..... but sometimes someone will best you or got luck on his back......and int that job it mean that you have to die. It's no good.... but it's the way things go.
-
I think that a 9/10 will suite better..... It hasn't a fast pace but it's really good and realistic......

Well I think that children aren't stupid and they know well the difference between the real violence and the violence showed in games or on TV.... I think that some of the scenes that we see on our news are worse that all the violence that we can find in DOOM or other games. If in a game when you shoot someone he'll get hurt or he die it's not diseducative, simply it reflect the reality and the children learn that shooting someone is bad for it hurt or kill..... it's different in the games where you don't see blood or where you don't kill anyone but just let them disappear..... Children may learn to confront with reality step by step and under parents control but without be keeped in a soft and inexistent wolrd, because when they exit from that world they will not be prepared for what they'll find all around them. Obviously there are some cases where the childer or the person has some sort of disturb or it's not capable of discerning good from bad and that is the reason because here in Italy we canno't buy or detain weapons without a permission form the authorities...... you can never tell if a person is sane or insane untill he do something insane.....
-
Yeah.... but cloacking burn some of the most expensive and precious fuel..... so why don't use something almost as effective and that costs nothing... And you could even speed up the destruction derby by using the primary guns too..... try using some different power settings while you took out a building or a mobile target (switch to 70% or 50%...)
-
Let them say what they want........ unless it's the truth we have nothing to fear....
-
Yea sure HUWIE!!!! Why use fighters or marines when a little time and automatism can do a better job with no harm to you or your crew..... you can even fly lower and activate your EMD to dodge the missiles....... but it's better to upgrade your ship first with the best shield and the best armor.......
-
Just frightening.....
-
Aye Sir..... objective found......thanks commander...
-
Never liked orror films but I must totally agree with the SC ..... In the end I'm italian and ours Dario Argento has surely much to teach to that kind of director and producer.....

CD-Recordable discs unreadable in less than two years

Wasn't there once a conversation about using toothpaste to fill a scratch? How and what kind? Toothpaste can be used on some plastics to get rid of small scratches without smudging the surface. It works like very fine rubbing compound. But I doubt it would repair a CD that's gone bad with age. Some kind of CD repairing kit are also available, don't knows if they're good but you can try... -

I simply not believe that..... I've always be suspicious about CD-R.... magneto-optic.....mixed thing usually don't look good, but I don't think that well conserved CD-R will be ruined in such a short time..... However...SC you'll better make double copy of any of your CD-R especially if they contains data on BC series..... WE DON'T WANT TO WAIT FOR YEARS WHILE YOU MAKE UP ANOTHER GAME FROM SCRATCH!!!! BC RULES!!!!!!!! -
