I would like to set up a ISS Fleet Fighter Command and ISS Fleet Marine Command. Fighter Command will be set up under Tactical Support Wing, and Marine Command will be set up under Defense Wing. Each of the wing leaders of these wings will either oversee or appoint someone to oversee the use of the pilots and marines under the ISS Fleet command. Thes Fighter Command will have control of all the pilots within ISS. They are HQ'd out of the ISS Fleet Academy on Saturn. They oversee the training and development and deployment of all the fighter pilots. They will assign pilots to each wing as needed. Each wing will have a fighter squadron and a marine battalion assigned to it (that number might change). This same procedure will apply to the Marine Command in the Defense Wing. I will entertain ideas on how the setup will work from the Wing Leaders. Post any ideas you have for it on your respective topic areas, that I will create. The Operations arm is responsible for carrying out all missions that have been planned. They are the field operatives that go undercover or infiltrate areas and actually conduct the missions. The area of jurisdiction is everywhere outside of Earth space. The ISS/CIOPS has no jurisdiction inside Earth space. That is left to EarthCOM/SCID. It can't say wing commander, since it is not a rank, and the title for commanders who command a wing within a fleet is "Wing Leader." So instead of where it says Fleet Command, it might say "Intel & Espionage Wing Leader." All the WIng leaders would have that on theirs. All others would have nothing or maybe the wing name they belong to. For members of the 77th, instead "Tactical Support Wing" they would just have 77th Tactical Support Squadron. Lt. Don't worry about barging in, it's fine and thanks for the welcome. Lt. Ryan Parker is actually Cmdr Tringad's real life brother. The 77th isn't actually a wing, it's part of the Tactical Support Wing. I made is separate so when we get people that want to be an elite pilot then we will place them directly into that squadron. We will have one for marine units also. Lt. Parker will command the 77th when he is finished his training and is ready to assume command. Alun, About the logo for the ISS Command Section, I am not sure what I am exactly looking for. Something like a command staff look about it. Athoritative. Commanding. I don't know if that helps. I know the Navy has a badge that is usually worn by officers I believe when they attend an upper level command school. It has a star with a wreath in a semi-circle along the bottom of the star. Rattler if you read this, maybe you can tell more about it. I was thinking of something like that with "ISS Fleet Command Staff" written somehow around it. I'll leave it up to you Alun. To answer your question quickly, I'm not really sure, I guess I would need to sit down and think about it in depth. I just got an email back from Derek on the Pilot rank situation. Here is what he gave to me so follow these guidlines and pass this information around. These are the ranks used in each of the various career paths. COMMANDER Commander Fleet Commander Strategic Commander Tacops Commander Supreme Commander MARINE (Infantry or Elite Force) Private Lance Corporal Corporal Sergeant Command Sergeant PILOT (Planetary Support or Elite Force) Ensign Lieutenant Major LT. Commander Commander Those are the ranks. Cmdr Jamont, those should be fine but make the "Shadow" part of the name the nickname of the unit. Give it a number designation like 123rd Special Operations Squadron, "The Shadows" or something like that. A fighter squadron wouldn't really be a spy unit, a marine unit would, but don't do any marine units now until I can find that list of marine units DeSylva and I came up with, we can use that, and if we need more then we can create some. Once I find that list, I will divide them up between each Wing, and then the Wing Leader can create nicknames for them. Just come up with Fighter squadrons right now. I will only create 1 or 2 extra Squadrons on the database for people to be assigned. 2 Fighter squadrons (1 special operations and 1 Tactical group.) and 2 marine battalions (1 infantry and 1 special operations) That way when we get people that want to be a pilot or marine can get assigned directly to a unit and their database profile will show the unit they belong to. ------------------ Fleet Cmdr.
