Ok I am back and slowly trying to get things worked out. I am not working on a new fleet, CIOPS has already been approved by the SC. CIOPS isn't even a fleet it's a wing within ISS. That is all, so I don't know what you are talking about Akira, and all I was saying is for role playing I wanted to bring in an idea for a special forces section called SURGE, it's not a fleet, it is just a group of marines that is all with a specialized purpose. It will be used for role playing. Idon't know why I keep having to explain myself. I know I might have hurt some feelings with some people with my proposal before, but it is done with, so I don't know what the problems are. I am not trying to do antyhing illegal here. All I was saying as it being unofficial is if Derek approves SURGE as an official group I will try to get the information into offical BC3K material if that is what Derek wants. If he doesn't want to to it that way and doesn't want to add something like that I wanted to keep it unofficial by just using it for role playing purposes on the forum or in stories. So Akira, I don't have 2 fleets, which you are so inclined in tyring to point out, I just said CIOPS is a separate fleet because lack of a better term I guess. It is only a wing within ISS but it is a stand alone Wing that will operate just as if it were a separate fleet, but once again let me clarify my statment, like I guess I"ll have to start doing more often, CIOPS is NOT a separate fleet and I DON'T have command of 2 fleets. Members of ISS/CIOPS Fleet, I want to take this time to appologize for my lengthy absence due to the death in my family and the resulting legal conflicts within the family. PLease accept my appologies. I have not been totally unproductive. I am working on a text similar to the Order of Jade Dragon text I was working on for the ISS/CIOPS Fleet. I need to get caught up on things.I'll give a brief post about the Shogun pulling out of dock and heading to the Rinaal system. I'll leave the post as me leaving the system. I won't put a time stamp on it so it could happen at any time during the role play {rp} The Shogun had barely limped into Gazer1. Major damage to most systems. This had come at the most inopportune moment, ISS was involved in a possible mole hunt, and the Wraith fleet seemed as if it was close to annihilation. All the repairs had taken a few hours. Most of the systems had been repaired or replaced, and it was time they were under way, they had to get out to Rinaal to test this new system that allows the lock on mechanism to work. The Shogun had taken on new crewmembers to replace the killed or severly wounded ones. His wife, Lt.Heather Ristar, the Shogun's Flight Officer was in a coma at the Med Bay on Gazer1. She was stable, but that gave no comfort to Ristar. He would make whomever did this pay, and pay with much more than his life, he would make this person and his comrades pay. All the old crew and the new replacements began manning their stations. Lt.Cmdr Hull, the Tactical Officer, began gathering current situation reports that they would need for a briefing during the trip to Rinaal. Ristar had instructed a comminication to be sent to Tringad to see what his status was on LV-103. The moorings securing the Shogun were released and it began to slowly creep out of the docking bay. Engineering was still working on most systems and most of the new systems engineers were becoming acquainted with the ship. They headed for the jump gate, the horror of the death involved still on everyones mind, not just here but throughout the systems as the slaughter of the Wraith fleet and other GALCOM assests were being run through by the Gammulans. {/rp} I know it wasn't long or in depth, I just wanted to get out of the dry dock, if anyone needs the Shogun to do anything or if there's an attack or something involving me or the ship write me into it, but I need to stay on a course for Rinaal or somewhere I can test out my device for the lock on mechanism for the weapons systems. ------------------ Fleet Cmdr. Ok, We are starting to get some of the new commanders involved in the role play. Cmdr. Freefox, should be posting soon. Everyone give him their support if he needs it. On The Death Wraith it looks like there are going to be 2 assassination attempts against me, before there was going to be only 1, but Gallion threw Murphy into the mix, so now it's 2. Tringad, I need for you to pick up your role play from heading out to LV-103. All the other ISS personnel work on the mole situation unless you are on a specific mission. Let's try to draw the mole part of this out a bit, into a big confrontation with the Insurgents, and possibly, having the ISS or better yet CIOPS infiltrating the Insurgents in the role play, I sent the information to Rattler to see what he thinks. The reason that GALCOM wouldn't know about it, is how much does GALCOM really know about the Syrions to begin with and that's from the BC manual about the descriptions of the races, it's a fairly closed society and most of GALCOM's efforts to find out about that society have been squashed. In my post I was addressing the building of the station in secret, that was point number 3 on the very FIRST post in this thread, the SC, came back and was addressing other points in his subsequent post, and it seems Akira your idea for how they Syrions and Insurgents worked together, seems similiar to my train of thought on how the 2 of you started working together and why, you took it to a more detailed level of their reasoning, so why do you seem to want to disagree with me at every turn of the road? {rp} 1331, March 15, 3008 Pluto, Sol GCV Shogun The Shogun was passing by Gazer 1, it would be nice to have some shore leave to build up the morale, but getting out to Rinaal to test this device on the new Gammulan Omicron V1 probe. As the Shogun was preparing to jump through the gate to head to Rinaal 8 ships suddenly appeared in Pluto space, 4 immediately broke off from the pack and headed for the jump point to Jupiter, the other 4 were heading toward Gazer 1. “Sir!!!” Lt.Cmdr Hull sounded, “We have 4 hostile targets closing on our position, their IFF shows there are 2 Terran/Mercenaries in Stormcarriers, and 2 Zelon/Assassins in 2 Constellation Class Battlecruisers.” “Get the Interceptors out there, raise the shields, go to Red Alert!! Get a message to Gazer 1 to try and lend some support when they get into range, we’ll try to get them closer to the stations weapons range.” Ristar commanded. Hull immediately called down to the Shogun’s Flight Officer and Ristar’s wife, Lt. Heather Ristar, to get the Interceptors out. The Red alert klaxons sounded throughout the ship. The flight bay was filled with commotion as pilots and co-pilots scrambled to their fighters. System and Flight engineers finished the launch preparations. Heather Ristar stood on the flight ops planning room and began coordinating the attack with the TacOps computer and Lt.Cmdr. Hull. Lt.Ristar announced to the pilots, “ Vampire and Cobra in IC1 and Dice Man and Merlin in IC4 are Red Group, and Shogun and Ranger in IC2 and Road Runner and Coyote in IC3 are Blue Group” “Cobra, you strapped in and ready to Rock and Roll, baby ??!!” “I’m ready Vampire, let’s get out there” “Dice Man, you and Merlin are my wing men” Vampire called out “Roger that Vamp, we’ve got your 6” yelled Dice Man The Interceptors shot out of the launch bay, and into the black cold space, but it would soon heat up. “Red and Blue Groups, we need to draw those fighters into Gazer 1’s weapon’s range” Lt.Ristar said. As the 4 intruders drew closer PTA systems from all angles opened up. The Interceptors began splitting off drawing the enemy fighters away from the Shogun. The Shogun unleashed 4 Vagrants, 2 to each of the Stormcarriers, these found their marks and small explosions could be seen. But the Shogun was beginning to wear down, it’s shields at very low levels, it began to maneuver toward the station to give the shields time to re-energize. “Transfer power from the transporter and launch bays to the shields” Ristar commanded “Aye, Sir” IC1, GCV Shogun “Cobra, where is that fighter?” “He’s behind us Vamp” “Dice Man, where are you? Get your ass over here and get this guy off my ……” Before he could get the words out, a series of laser blasts ripped past IC1 and tore into the P-21 Vandal fighter blowing it to bits. IC3, GCV Shogun “Road Runner, we’ve only got 2 missiles left, there ain’t much left of the fighters, let’s head after one of those Stormcarriers!!!” “Ronin, this is Blue Group leader, permission to use the last missiles against that damaged Stormcarrier?” after a few seconds, “...Permission granted, Blue Group” “Shogun and Ranger, how many missiles do you have?” The pilot of IC2, Shogun, responded “We’ve got 3 left.” “I’ll take the one on the left, you take the one on the right, launch 1 at a time so we make em count” The 2 Stormcarriers had made a tactical error and not split up at the beginning of the battle, they remaind close together, and that would spell their downfall. The missiles flew from the Interceptors, and found their marks, as one exploded the other was caught in it’s blast as it tried to maneuver away. This completely crippled the Stormcarrier, and it began approaching the GCV Shogun. Through the celebration of this victory, as the last of the Constellation Class Battlecruisers exploded, it sent bits of debris coursing through IC4’s wing structure and through the cockpit area. The IC’s systems sealed off the leak but the damage was done to Merlin, his leg and chest were full of debris. “Merlin’s hit, Merlin’s hit, I need to land immediately” GCV Shogun “Sir, that crippled Stormcarrier is headed for us” “Change your course heading 95, mark 3, full power” The GCV Shogun began it’s accelerated turn, but as the stern of the ship swung around the crippled Stormcarrier exploded, sending shrapnel slamming into the depleted shields and superstructure. The GCV Shogun rocked from the impact and the small series of explosions could be felt throughout the ship. “Damage report!!!” Ristar commanded “Sir, Tractor beam control is damaged, mine pods are damaged, shield generator is damaged, and …” Lt.Cmdr. Hull looked at Ristar with empathetic emotion “ launch bay’s 1 is heavily damaged, and launch bay 2 has minor damage, we can’t launch or receive craft from 1 sir, and we can’t receive craft in 2 sir, only launch a few ships for medical evac for emergencies only sir.” “What is the status of personnel on the flight bay’s?" Ristar immediately thought of his wife in Bay 1, and their life together flashed before him. He felt guilty for not being as concerned for everyone else, he was, but Heather meant the world to him, even more than his command. “Sir, Lt.Ristar is alive but badly injured, she has slipped into a coma.” “Sir, IC 4 is requesting immediate landing permission, his co-pilot is injured” “Tell all the IC’s that we can’t land any vessels as the bays are damaged, they are to land at Gazer 1 for repairs and medical treatment” “Aye, Sir” “Get all the wounded you can to Medical, if we run out of room, get the serious cases to Gazer 1!!” “Sir, do you want to send Lt.Ristar there or keep her here?” Ristar knowing that his medical officer, Lt. Morhei Kosugi, was one of the best in GALCOM, would take perfect care of her, but he didn’t want her on board in case the ship didn’t make it, he never wanted her on this ship for that specific reason, but she had insisted on serving in the ISS and she had no other place to serve, so this was it. “Send all wounded to Gazer 1, let them know we don’t have the facilities for the seriously injured, and we are keeping minor casualties here” “Aye, Sir” “What is the status of Gazer 1, any damage?” “No, Sir, it fought off the Constellation Class BC’s, with it’s fighter groups and it’s stations PTA” {/rp} I know it's not spectacular, my piolting role play is not that great, but my next post will be a little later, and I'll start making my way to Rinaal, even though I'm crippled, we will have come into Gazer 1 for the majority of the repairs, and then head to Rinaal to use the prototype device on the probe ------------------ Fleet Cmdr. I figure I can use my creative juices to make my mark in GALCOM history. This post is going to deal with Point 3 from the SC's first post here: 3. As if that wasn't enough, considering the Syrion's low threshold for aggression, they must have given the Insurgents permission to build Alpha Prime in Tarean. How about the reason for the permission to the Insurgents was that the Syrions gave permission because the Insurgents made a case to them about their oppression and they wanted to leave this oppression of GALCOM. The Insurgents (with Rattler as their gifted leader {g}) convinced them that they could help the Syrions with research, since they are a technological race and they mainly do research. The Syrions recognize that any military commanders leaving GALCOM, which is of a higher technological status than the Syrions, can be of some use to them. The Insurgents told them that the brightest (you don't know how hard it is to write this {g}) and smartest had left GALCOM and could help with any research matters, in exchange for the facilities to build space stations in Tarean. This would mean that no one in GALCOM would know that the Insurgents were building anything. The Insurgents allow the Syrions to board their stations at any time for research matters. Since the Syrions tend to gain from their diplomatic ties to the Insurgency they will cover up all traces of the construction. Since the Syrion closed society might come into question, the Syrions have certain elements of their society exposed to the Insurgents, and this exposure is limited and scarce, usually done by communications or through visual bridge communications. No visits to Insurgent stations has ever been detected by CIOPS, SCID, or ISS. Now dealing with CIOPS and it's role. CIOPS will have jurisdiction over all systems outside Earth space. It is illegal for CIOPS to conduct any activity inside Earth space as that is EarthCOM and SCID's realm. CIOPS is a detached wing from ISS, in that they are a part of ISS, but the commander of the wing has more lenient power to do his own mission planning, etc apart from ISS, since his agents might be working undercover alot, etc. CIOPS is divided into 3 Directorates: Directorate of Operations carries out all covert ops missions planned by the Intelligence Directorate, the Directorate of Intelligence carries out all counter-intelligence and counter-insurgency planning efforts and analyzes all intelligence information gathered from Operations Directorate agents, and finally the Directorate of Training and Administration carries out all initial training of CIOPS agents and prepares them for their assignments in either of the other 2 Directorates and handles all admin for the entire Wing. How is that?
