  1. Has anyone been able to extract a team of marines yet? I cant figure it out. The shuttle lands a long way away, but my marines dont even atempt to run towards it after its landed. Ive selected them for evac, but they dont move. SC, does the fact that the shuttle over shoots its waypoint mean that the AI of the pilot is too low? I dont have any really high AI marines/pilots to see if it lands closer.
  2. He's right. I had the same thing. I figured I was doing something wrong so I kept trying. I set up 3 waypoints which were. 1: Proceed to next 2: Deploy 3: Wait for instructions. Well it landed, gave me the message about lifting off in 5.., then it counts down, and sits there. Only because of the fact I gave it the wait for instructions waypoint. Without the wait for instructions waypoint, it takes off after the countdown. OC didnt deploy, and neither did the marines.
  3. Yipppeee! another reason for staying on the computer all night long!!!! OOo im gona be in trouble tomorrow by the wife..
  4. If you can get all the good channels from DirectTV, then I would go for it. My internet via a cable modem costs me $40 each month alone!!
  5. Ah you beat me to it SC. I was about to ask you when you were planning on releasing it. Ive been on the edge of my seat for the last couple of weeks, hoping for it. [ 06-05-2002, 18:05: Message edited by: Roberto ]
  6. I think Ive been passive long enough now.. Do you need a new member? I currently dont belong to any group.
  7. His sound card is VIA Audio (built in). Ive seen various people have problems with this on the VIA forums. But it was supposed to be fixed a while ago in one of the patches.
  8. Lets find out whats your your machine, since your not certain about it all. Click on the Start button, bottom left of the screen, then from the menu, select 'Run'. Now type in the word 'dxdiag' and it should run the DirectX Diagnostic tool. Once its finished loading, click on the bottom of the screen, and select 'Save All Information', then choose somewhere to save it to, maybe your desktop so you dont loose it. This will tell you what type of mother board you have and its chipset (AMD often go hand in hand with VIA chipsets). It will show you your BIOS version, processor, Total RAM, Video card (if you scroll down the text file), your sound card, etc.. plus any problems it finds, which is sometimes helpfull. if it doesnt make much sense to you, then send the txt file to me at "[email protected]", and I will take a look myself. It basicly tells us the info about your setup, and any detectable problems. if indeed it is a VIA chipset on your motherboard, then yes, update your drivers from the VIA website, as menioned in another post above. I know that VIA had a problem a while ago regarding currupting data on harddrives, due to incompatability with some other hardware installed.
  9. Hmm Well to start with, you need to find out what video card drivers your using, as well as sound card (your system profile doesnt give any details about them). If your unsure about video card driver version, then it should be safe to sudgest that you down load the latest driver from Nvida for your card. You said that after it froze you were unable to play it again. How did you recover? Did you manage to get to the desk top, then started the game again? If so, then that is the reason why it wont run after that first crash. Now if you had to restart your PC after the crash, then found that the game was unplayable, then it gets a little more complicated, simply because when it crashed, it messed up the installation, which points to a few possible problems. Let us know which of those two it is. Weather it crashes and you are forced to reboot, or if you simply tried it again by getting back to the desktop some how. It does sound more like your PC setup is the problem.
  10. Awwwww I know I was looking forward to it with the next patch. Im keeping my hopes up. Your always full of nice supprises
  11. Normaly you send in the UPC from the box (which Im glad I kept!!!), well thats with some games anyway.
  12. Looks like your team has been very busy. I think I speak for everyone when I say... "Cant wait to see whats in store for all fans.."
  13. Oh YEAH! Sweeet!
  14. Elite (what a classic!) X-Beyond The Frontier X-Tension (re-released at last!!) BCM BC3K (its a classic in its own right) Operation Flashpoint Deus Ex Combat Mission (amazing game for playing against a friend) Home world [ 04-12-2002, 09:14: Message edited by: Roberto ]
  15. Ive never seen that either. Higher AI maybe??
  16. Nice idea... BUT!!! BCM cant be modded at the code level. Your restriced to just using the tools supplied by SC (when he releases them). Sorry. As far as I know, this is the intention, and it wont change. EDIT:: Aww man... You beat me to it as I was writting this Gallion LOL [ 03-23-2002, 09:32: Message edited by: Roberto ]
  17. By any chance is your mother board chips set made by VIA. Soundblaster cards and VIA dont mix too well. Although saying that, I have both the VIA chip set and the same sound card that you have with windows XP, and so far its stable. Win ME, Win 98 both caused my PC to crash at random though, as well as those nasty cracking noises I get from time to time (it went away with winXP)
  18. To see how many months I can play the game with out getting killed, and basicly take over the whole universe

  20. I know what you mean about the headaches LOL The only way to take away the flicker is to have a monitor with a refresh rate of 100Hz, then its not noticable, but it still strains your eyes a bit. Have you noticed how after you have used them for about 3 hours that you walk around the house noticing that everything is in 3D Yeah I did when I first got them. It was funny driving the car after I had used them all night
  21. Ive done Ju-jitsu for about 7 1/2 years before I switched to Ninjitsu. Personaly I prefer Ninjitsu. Trained with the Bujinkan Dojo also, but I dont think its the same one since I did it in england before I moved here to the USA. It was the BBD (Bujinkan Brian Dojo) lead by Brian Mcarfe (i think I spelt his name wrong). I trained with 5 diffrent instructors back then, traveling around the UK. I learnt more in 2 years of Ninjitsu than I did in 7 years ju-jitsu, so I highly recomend it if you dont mind the pain involved. [ 03-08-2002, 19:24: Message edited by: Roberto ]
  22. Looks like CompUSA have a special on Renagade at the moment. They are knocking 20 bucks off the game, and have it for sale at $30. Not bad huh? Man if i had enough space on my hard drive, I would by it myself
  23. Doesnt that radiate your crew when you stay cloaked for so long??? It should do.
  24. He probably doesnt post very often, which I know I didnt do for a long time after joining. These days I tend to post more than I used to. Man I know I wish I had been picked for the beta team I remember signing up for it, and checking each hour to see if I had been accepted LOL
  25. Sure, no rush. I hear ya when you talk about doing docs though LOL Thats one thing I try to avoid doing at work because all I want to do is get the rest of my work finished and tested before my customers start crying out for their software. Ah the joys of development *sigh*
