  1. Well, that kinda puts you off your lunch, doesn't it?
  2. Um, dreadx, it's 1714 GMT, I'm on the 3000AD teamspeak server, where are you?
  3. Is it just me, or is the forum search engine unable to find posts more than 30 days old, even using the option 'Any date'? For example, I performed a search in the Politics and Religion section for the word 'iraq'. The search engine finds only 12 matches, the earliest of them being 04/04/2005. If I look at the Politics and Religion section of the forum, using view topics from the last 60 days, there is a topic entitled 'Women fear losing rights in new Iraq', listed two from the bottom of the first page. This seems to apply for all types of searches, at least in my experience. I would have brought this up earlier, (I first noticed it a while ago), but I assumed it was something that would be adressed by this server upgrade.
  4. OK, thanks for letting us know, Krasus. Sykes, how about you?
  5. Thanks, Jack. That best fits in with Team Praetorian, so we'll put you in there.
  6. Spectre is available at the following times, in theory: quote: We are available during the week in the evenings of the USA time zones, and on weekends. so it would be something like this. Monday - Friday 1:00 AM GMT - 4:00 AM GMT Saturday - Sunday 5:00 PM GMT - 9:00 PM GMT
  7. OK, our newest recruit is Commander Jack Decker, who occasionally goes by the codename of Pisces-21. Welcome in, Jack, tell us a little about yourself
  8. Might I suggest challenging team Spectre first, as they still haven't played their minimum two matches this month. I've PM'd Remo to ask him when they're generally available.
  9. Ben Zwycky (Praetorian) completed The Great Race on Wednesday April 20th and the log was sent to and approved by the scorekeeper. Awaiting official score and time.
  10. Ben Zwycky (Praetorian) challenges Dreadx (Balor Fleet) to a duel at 1700 GMT on Tuesday 26th April or at 1700 GMT on Wednesday 27th April cloaking permission to be decided by the challengee. It looks like Remo's duel with Boran Zavok won't be happening this month, so who wants to be next? [ 04-25-2005, 08:12 AM: Message edited by: Ben Zwycky ]
  11. All that remains is for team Demolition to knock Alpha of the top spot in the table and CIOPS to have a successful match against Spectre and we'll have ourselves a three way tie for third place Is there going to be an individual table like last year?
  12. We could go for spectre, or try for Balor again, depending on who is more available on Saturday (to leave challenge slots free for our other teams). We need to let team CIOPS get a match in, since we already have our two match minimum under our belts for this month (albeit overly peacefully )
  13. I guess no logs are necessary for a forfeit, though, eh?
  14. Another forfeit I reported the loss, in my half-asleep state, instead of sending the info to the scorekeeper, and after entering the info in, it seems to have updated the ladder incorrectly. Sorry Can this be fixed?
  15. Chavik lost to me in a relatively short duel (which was good, since I needed to get to bed). This partially made up for my team forfeiting the team match for our third member arriving too late.
  16. version 7, page 3, section II 1.c "All fleets must participate in a minimum of two (2) matches and no more than four (4) matches a month to remain in League competition."
  17. you have to play at least two matches per month, or face a penalty. It's all in the handbook.
  18. It's time for the match now, and I thought Rip was goign to be here, but he's not. Someone come to the 3000AD TS server now, please
  19. Guys??? How much to I need to hassle you to come up with the times you can all make? This is the last full weekend of the month, and team CIOPS has yet to make any challenges. We just MIGHT get away with it this month since the team was only formed halfway through the month, but you will definitely need to get your act together by the start of next month. Rip, Krasus and Zane, post the times you can generally make in this thread, and be specific, use time ranges GMT (or Central Time if you must), that way it becomes much easier to organise things. These times don't have to be written in stone, if you can't make it on a particular day or your schedule changes, that's no problem as long as you tell us beforehand or soon after your timetable change. Then we can maybe work out a substitution or move your challenge(s) to a different time, but we need to have something to work with. From the 2005 season thread, Rip and Zane are generally available from 6pm to 10pm Central time (2300-0300 GMT) Monday to Friday and in the period 2pm-10pm Central Time (1700-2700 GMT) at Weekends Krasus is available from 5pm-11pm Central Time (2200-2800 GMT) Monday to Thursday, 5pm-12pm Central Time (2200-2900 GMT)on Fridays, 11am-12pm Central Time (1600-2900 GMT) on Saturdays and 11am-11pm Central Time (1600-2800 GMT) on Sundays. This would make team CIOPS (in theory) available to make and receive challenges in the following periods: 6pm to 10pm Central time (2300-0300 GMT) Monday to Friday and 2pm-10pm Central Time (1700-2700 GMT) at Weekends Are these individual times still valid? If not, please tell us your actual availablity in this thread as soon as you read it. Also, if I have calculated GMT relative to Central Time incorrectly (I have assumed GMT-5 with daylight saving time in force), please correct me. If these times are still valid, then you can start issuing some challenges to Teams Spectre and Balor Fleet accordingly.
  20. Umm, Balor and Praetorian have a match scheduled for 1730 GMT today, the challenge was made and accepted successfully, and was listed in the upcoming matches at Galcom HQ for a couple of days, but now it's not there any more. What's going on? Does it just stop being listed there automatically on the day the match is supposed to happen, or has there been a problem?
  21. by the way, the honeymoon period with my connection ended at the start of this week. I'm back down to 150/150,which is still fine for fleet matches.
  22. when there's an intruder inside one of your stolen vessels and you tractor it, they will always self-destruct unless you kill the intruder, at least in my experience.
  23. If you want to get your stolen craft back and it's not flying away, set your PTA to 10% and give your command craft the order to attack the offending craft. Your PTA will then keep hitting it until it's disabled (the intruder inside is dead), and usually achieves this without destroying your precious little vessel. Then you can tractor the craft and recover it, since it is no longer 'stolen' (though it will now need some serious repair work). The required/allowable PTA setting will vary according to how powerful your turrets are. *advertising jingle* This handy tip was brought to you by the ISS fleet Tactical Advisory Board. 24. nice start, there. keep it up!
