Grr, should have went with my first choice. Yep, Dreamcatcher was it, however, I picked Activision, as they have been trying as of late. Dreamcatcher has been getting alot of business from me as of late, as they also publish those Nancy Drew Mystery games that my Wife loves to play (She only has everyone ever released!). I just got the last 2 for her for Christmas. Good pick Derek.

It's refreshing to see Derek in a foreign forum, and not getting hammered with "Cheap Shots". It is good to see people actually realizing what a good fellow Derek really is. Glad to see you made alot of new friends Derek. Good for you, and for the francise.

I second that Wingman Extreme. I am very happy with this Joystick. This stick is lasting longer than both of my Thrustmaster sticks combined.

I never said I was buying one. I am not into Console gaming, period. I do like that controller though. I do hope that thing comes out for a PC that would be cool. Think about this for a minute. PC gaming and Mech type games have been around forever. Why does something so unique as this comes out for a Console first? It is just not fair. With the execption of Derek Smart and Devs like him, I'm starting to wonder if console gaming is actually killing PC gaming. This is because most games now are made for the underpowered Console first, and then ported to the more powerful PC later. History has showed us that PC ports to consoles almost alwasy resemble a shell of the Original PC game due to the limits of the console. With the Xbox being a hybrid computer, Microsoft is not doing us PC gamers any favors. Xbox is only flooding the gamming channel with punny Pentium 3s, when PC gaming rigs are well beyond the 1ghz level nowadays. Derek, I'm hoping that BCG and beyond become trend setters, and help break this vicious cycle.

Oh Holy Jesus, that controller is worth the price of admission alone. If only they made that for a PC, I would risk life and limb against my wife to squeeze that into my hardware budget. I too have problems with his statement, and feel that, at the very least, he should step down as Republican Majority Leader. It is clearly time for a new Republican to take the reigns in the Senate. Doesn't anybody take a public office position seriously anymore (Thanks Bill!!!)??? I can't believe some people are so stupid with their words. I'm not a big TV watcher, but there are some shows I do catch weekly: Monday: CSI:Miami. That's it. Tuesday: Nothing of interest. Wednesday: The Amazing Race. I sometimes catch ST:Enterprise when I remember to. The wife and I also watch Big Brother when it is on. Thursday: Survivor, CSI. When Whithout A Trace comes on, I head for my PC. Friday, Saturday, Sunday: Nothing in particular. Since I waiting for the carpeting installers, and my PC is "Packed Away", I have been watching TV more these days. I normally flip through till something of interest catches my eye; Mostly the Discover Channel, and the History Channel. If there is nothing on TV, I may just hit the road.

Last year was the first time I built a PC. Researched everything up and down. Build went smooth, but I still had to tweak the setup some. My rig is running fine. I have since built 4 machines after that. My last one was delievered to the customer in March. This has become my PC from hell. Within the first 2 weeks, the Power Supply went. Replaced that, and now the burner has screwed Firmware. It worked when I changed the Power Supply, don't know why it don't now??? Well, his PC that he built died, and has been using his Mom's, the one I built. I got a call from him the night he decided to install XP Pro on it. He couldn't get the Soundcard drivers to load or USB ports operational. Bear in mind, this is a Via Chipset here. My first question to him was, "Did you install the most up to date 4n1's??? His response, "What are those???" I was a little suprised by this because his PC was also a Via based Athlon board. I explained to him that they were the MB drivers. He told me he never installs those. I informed him that with todays MBs, the drivers are mandatory. Everything worked fine after they were installed. Go figure! I wanted to Boycott Wal-Mart a week or so ago. They and a few others, threatened to SUE the Fat Wallet Forms for talking about Black Friday Sales in advance of the Flyer releases. Details are here. My wife told me that if I could find a store with the same prices or cheaper, she would support my ban. Otherwise she will still shop there. I too am starting to feel that Wal-Mart is a retail predator. In my area, Pharmor and Ames have just gone out of business in the last 6 months. KMart is on thin Ice and have stated that if they don't have a positive Holiday Sales Season, they are calling it quits. I hope and Pray KMart stays around. Inlight of this thread, I am now reexamining my Software purchasing habits, as of right now, it mostly comes from Wal-Mart. I too will start to visit my EB Games store more often now. Thanks for the heads-up SC.

Hmm, I don't know why, but I'm just not excited yet. I didn't really get excited over the 9xxx ATI boards. I do feel though that nVidia has lost this round, and should just cut to the next level to regain the performance title in the next product. They are now one whole product cycle behind ATI, and the normal 6 month refresh won't do. The reason is, by time the FX hits the shelves, the next ATI part should also be comming out as well. It does baffle me though, that ATI can still incorporate a normal heatsink/fan in their card, but nVidia needs its own pratical AC unit. Due to the wife wanting to paint and put new carpeting down, I will be off line for the remainder of the month. Currently my PC and Home LAN are in pieces, more like shambles. Carpeting will be installed within a minimum of 2 weeks. I’m betting my PC will be back possibly in 3 weeks, probably in 4. This SUCKS!!! Nova, $ilk, Grayfox, Alex, etc. I am leaving this fleet in your capable hands for the duration, or until Blades comes back permanently. I will still be watching daily during my workday lunch break. If there is anything that needs my response I’ve created a thread for you guys to get issues, questions, etc., to me here. I will be checking that thread when I can and respond accordingly.
