Am I the only one that has managed to compromise with Resnig??? I let him take his Marines, and I take the rest. When Intruders board, my guys are abruptly waken out of bed and sent out with search and destroy orders, even if they have to do it in their PJ's. Resnig takes orders from me, I don't take crap from Resnig. I do take my officers off duty when their FF reaches 6. Why, you ask? Because that way they return to station with in a few minutes, that gives them plenty of enough time to eat, go potty, and catch some winks. All others go till a FF of 11. Exceptions to this include Red Alerts, Battles, Repairs, Intruders, etc....

DON'T get RealOne Player (warning/rant)
GREG MILLER replied to Charles Lindsey's topic in General Chatter
Real is crap, as such, I don't even install it anymore. If I go to a site and need a Realplayer to look at something, I do without. Take it to them Charles. -
LMAO at you 2. I will have just turned 45 2 months from then. Hmm....

Hmm... I wonder how much a few minutes of weightlessness costs???

What a pile of stinking horse crap!!!! If I were a Judge, I'd though this out sooooo fast, Forgent Networks' head would still be spinning as the court papers fly by, on their way out the door. The world is quickly loosing the concept of common sense I tell ya.

The SC could come to Pittsburgh, and try out our new Convention Center. I bet that place is already prewired for lan parties. Not only that, we are probably cooler than Florida, meaning temperature.

The Couch tator chronicles: or what are you watching
GREG MILLER replied to Kevin Trotter's topic in General Chatter
Me, I don't watch TV that much, unless something interesting shows up. I am more of the SciFi, Discovery, Aninal Planet, History Channel type. Mostly though I am in front of my PC. Big Brother 3 is boring, as well as 1 & 2 before it. My wife loves that show, and makes me watch it with her. What a bunch of backstabbing greed mongers. I do like Survivor and The Amazing Race though. -
Just the shear fact of how much money they are supposedly going to transfer into your account should tell you to run, not walk, away as fast as you can. What a stupid scammer. *sigh*

Yep, I have taken non-sick days before, but I don't abuse it either. I could never call in sick just before, or right after my Vacation, it is just not right if you are not sick. My boss knows at times I practically come to work on my death bed. There was a time I was so sick, he sent me home after a half day, just after I got my work done for the day. Where I work, the company actually promotes 2 sick days off. Let me explain....I can only take 8 days, or 5 occurrences, within a rolling calendar year. That means I can only be out 5 times, but on 4 of those times, 2 days count as 1 occurrence. Rolling calendar year means if I call in sick tomorrow, July 18, 2002; I do not get that day back until July 18, 2003. The only thing that resets on January 1st every year, is my 3 weeks vacation, and 1 Personal day. Confusing, isn't it? Surfice to say, it took me a while to figure out that policy, and always wondered why people told me to take 2 days. [ 07-17-2002, 10:25 PM: Message edited by: Greg Miller ]

The Walker Lindh Debacle - Money talks and BS walks
GREG MILLER replied to Kevin Trotter's topic in General Chatter
Krekol beat me too it. I also feel he got off lightly, but then something recent comes to mind....I don't think he is going to serve 20 years, and I don't think he is comming out alive. Think Jeffrey Dahmer here folks. -
lol!!! That is another good one Tac. I like the part about not whinning about a reset caracter the best. SC should add that as a requirement to his NDA.

I see Active Worlds being more competition for Sims Online, than StarWars Galaxies. Competiton that Active Worlds may loose. I see Galaxies strickly as a franchise/niche market only. And I am not so sure the franchise can support/save it. Just for the record, my wife loves her Sims games, but has no plans to pay for Sims Online. Me, I am already sneak...I mean planning the BCO expense into the monthly budget.

quote:Originally posted by Supreme Cmdr: Talk about milking the cow's tits dry. lol!!! Damn, you have such a good way with words. My wife has every Sims game disk to date. She just got Vacation over a month ago, and has even conned me into installing on my BCx machine. I am currently hastily acquiring parts to build a new machine to retire her Pacbell with, beings the Sims left that machine behind with "Hot Date". I will be ordering more parts this weekend. Every now and then she requests some Sims time. Looks like I need to add that to the shopping list. EDIT: As of the last Expansion Pack, "Vacation", Windows is telling me that "The Sims" folder is currently taking up 1.45Gb of HDD space; consisting of 7,840 files, spread out amongst 307 sub folders. The reinstalling of this one game now takes almost 45 minutes from start ("The Sims"), to finish ("Vacation"). When is the madness going to end??? Tuesday, Best Buy had a preorder for it, only the price was $129.99, keep in mind, this is the $399 card. The price has since been fixed, and orders placed for the insane price have been Canceled! Edit: The Anandtech thread has been locked and then deleted shortly after BB canceled all orders.LOL!!!!! This $129.99 issue has not died. I wouldn't want to be in Best Buy's shoes right now. For a history refresher course, read that linked page from the bottom, up.

Congrats, you are now a certified soccer mom. I don't know why but when I see the words "Caravan" and "Sport" together, I can't help to think where they installed the sport at??? I mean it is not like you can take off in it like a Camareo or Mustang.

At the same time, the DHL plane's automatic collision warning system inexplicably issued an order to descend. Yes, I did, you are the one that didn't read my post. I said Horizontal, or in your case, left to right. The controller had the plane descend vertically, or in your case up and down. [ 07-03-2002, 12:30 PM: Message edited by: Greg Miller ]

Not hard to believe when you have the human condition involved. Mistakes do happen, and some of those mistakes, can and will, kill you and/or others nearby. I would like to know why the Air Traffic Controllers didn't have both planes swing opposite directions to increase their horizontal distance from each other? quote:Last month, the European Union passed a resolution that would require all ISPs to store for up to seven years e-mail message headers, Web-surfing histories, chat logs, pager records, phone and fax connections, passwords, and more. With the amount of spam circulating the web today, those ISP's better prepare to keep 100GB HDs per account.

Well, you asked for it.... Siddown! Seriously though, enjoy the gameplay, as there are some surprises, you just can't explain. You do know the game has a mind of its own don't you??? [ 06-27-2002, 12:35 PM: Message edited by: Greg Miller ]

Matrox better seriously consider a price drop on that card. It is not a vidcard I would drop $400 for. For that price it has to, at most keep up with Nvidia's flagship GF4 Ti4600, which leaves the Parhelia in its dust. The only people I see buying that card at the current MSRP of $400, is Matrox fanboys.

Is there a nearby fire fight within the shuttles flight path??? This happens to me when I send my shuttle out when a battle is going on near its flight path.

Transfering cargo & exp probs.
GREG MILLER replied to jsite's topic in Battlecruiser 3000AD (Legacy)
You may have had some illegal cargo aboard somewhere you didn't know about. Resnig and his damn hidden porn stash gets me nailed all the time. -
Congrats with the new addition.
