11:52 hrs, 19th May, 3008 Modified LRT-15 Transport SS Vulture Engine Room Jet had discovered some shocking information on QSDs, something he had created himself a long time ago. He thought he was the only person in this galaxy to know anything about QSDs, but somehow this ship had acquired the information. After reviewing this and other information he started working on a way to get the Engine Room door open. The terminal had contained no information about the ships mission or intentions so he would have to find it elsewhere. He heard something behind him, looked, and found there was nothing there. He quickly scanned the area just in case and came up with nothing again, not that his sensors were working at 100% anyway but he could still detect nearby objects. Turning back to his work he again heard something behind him, he started to turn... "Don't move," a voice behind him warned. He once again scanned but could not detect anything behind him. Whoever this person was, they were good. 11:55 hrs, 19th May, 3008 Modified LRT-15 Transport SS Vulture Engine Room Zeke could hardly see now, he was mostly seeing static. For this reason he stuck close to the wall, unable to see too far ahead, he simple followed this wall. He was also unable to get a lock on the terminal or his friend Jet. He looked behind him again to make sure he wasn't being follow, saw nothing, heard nothing, that didn't mean anything. Zzeeoowwrr, psst. The sound of his bioic eye shutting down, now he was completely blind. He would have to let his other senses and his instinct guide him now. Clasping the gun in one hand, he felt along the wall until he came to a door . . . no it was a grate. He thought about entering it but decided it would be best to find Jet. He began counting his steps, so he could find this grate again if he needed too. 12:01 hrs, 19th May, 3008 Modified Shuttle Craft Jake Burke had been following the LRT-15 since his CO ordered him to go back to the ship. He knew better though, Zeke may have camoflauge from Jet but Jake knew his friend couldn't go anywhere without getting in trouble. So he followed in the wake of the Transport, waiting for his sign to come to the rescue. He was still cloaked and this new cloaking system seemed to be able to run for a while with radiating the small craft. Although there was a few problems with it which almost caused him to de-cloak but he managed to stop this from happening. He now noticed a new ship decloaking nearby the UCV-Leo which was also following the Vulture around. It was getting crowded around here. [ 04-16-2001: Message edited by: Commander Zeke Stone ] -

[RP] 11:47 hrs, 19th May, 3008 Modified LRT-15 Transport SS Vulture Engine Room Zeke had been limping clumsily down the hallway, his natural balance ruined by the injury. His mind seemed to be focused on one thing, finding out just what was going on, on this ship. It was this focus which blinded him earlier to something he would normally have noticed right away. He suddenly noticed this problem now, his bionic eye had not identified the officer he had been pointing his rifle at. This realization came to him as he now noticed static in his view, this stopped him. Zeke peformed a self diagnostic of the his eye and discovered that the grenade had emitted a slight Electro-Magnetic Pulse as it exploded. He knew his sight would only get worse, meaning he had to find Jet before this. Zeke quickened his pace toward the terminal they had designated as their rendezvous point. [RP] 11:40 hrs, 19th May, 3008 Modified LRT-15 Transport SS Vulture Engine Room Movement, he spotted it out of the corner of his eye, this was accompanied by a gasp barely heard over the sounds around them. Zeke quickly grabbed the rifle on his lap and aimed it at the wounded officer. The officer just sat there, didn't even look surprised by the whole situation. "With the Gams running around I didn't feel it would be right to leave you unconscious in the hallway. Plus I wanted to keep an eye on you," Zeke said the man who just continued to stare. Zeke wondered if the officer was staring at his opaque left eye or staying alert in case he had to try and save his own life. With one hand still on the gun and making sure he could still see any movement Zeke quickly pulled the bandage tight wrapped it around once more and tapped it down with a piece of duct tape. Not the best way to bandage something but it would have to do until he got back to his ship. Zeke stood and performed a strange side step limping action toward the door, his rifle still aimed at the officer. "You don't look like the type who would reveal any information to me from just a threat, so I'm just going to leave." With that said he hit the door release, locked the door and smashed the panel with the but of his gun. He cautiously limped into the hallway, checking the both the directions, the door closed behind him. Ya lock me in the engine room and then pass out , I like it. [RP] 11:34hrs, 19th May, 3008 Modified LRT-15 Transport SS Vulture Engine Room Zeke was gritting his teeth and grunt quietly from the piece of metal still sticking into his left leg. He wasn't moving very quickly and had to brace himself with the wall. He spotted another hallway up ahead, jointing off from the one he was in. Beyond that Zeke spotted what he had been looking for, a room. Just before reaching the hallway he would have to pass by he suddenly heard a thud. Stopping cold in his tracks he listened for something more . . . nothing. He shuffled along the wall until he got to the corner. Pearing into the hall along with pulling his weapon in he spotted a body laying in the middle of the hall. Around the corner he quickly moved toward the body, rifle aimed at it the whole time. Once reaching the body he painfully kicked it over with his injured leg, still pointing the rifle. It was the same person who had been trying to kill them just minutes before, looked pretty banged up too. Doing a quick scan with his bionic eye he discovered a heart beat. "Now what do I do with you?" Zeke said to the unconscious man. Receiving no reply from the man Zeke decided to answer the question himself and began searching the man for weapons. Once he felt he had found all of the weapons he began to drag the man down the hall toward the room he had spotted. Inside Zeke found a lot of mechanical devices and noise making machines. Not the cleanest place to fix himself up but it would have to do. He laid out the man in one corner of the room and looked for something to tie him up with. Finding nothing he decided his rifle would have to do until he could get back on track toward to computer terminal. Zeke knew it was never a good idea to remove an object from a wound, but leaving it there would probably cause more damage to the muscle. He pulled a bandage wrap out of one of the pockets on his 'tool' belt. "Ahh!" he cried out as he quickly pulled out the piece of metal. Recovering from the pain quickly he began to wrap the bandage around his leg as tight as he could. 11:45 hrs, 19th May, 3008 Modified LRT-15 Transport SS Vulture Engine Room Jet moved quickly and silently through the quiet hallways. His internal sensors were getting to much interference from the engine and various communications to detect much of anything. He turned his head suddenly as he thought he heard something, must have been nothing. It surprised him that he reacted like this, a human reaction. Jet thought he had, had this mechanical body too long to still have human anything. He heard something again, but still ignored it, proceeding with his mission to find the computer terminal. He knew they were locked in the engine room from the transmission he had intercepted from this Nimitz person. The terminal might be able to get them out. He finally found it and immediatly accessed the ships database, hacking into a few things and getting as much information as he could find. The ship was severally damaged and there seemed to be another ship nearby, UCV Leo. He recognized the ship name, had encountered it before. "Great more competition," Jet said to himself. Then he spotted something that really caught his eye, "Interresting." Can't recruit me with your fancy talk Blades Nah, I suppose I am going to try to get a decent ship and start looking for some jobs Ah the life of a merc, an exciting life it is. [RP] 11:30 hrs, 19th May, 3008 Modified LRT-15 Transport SS Vulture Jet's internal sensors lit up like a christmas tree as he quickly detected the incoming explosive. "GRENADE!" Jet yelled before turning and shooting it in mid-flight. The grenade exploded knocking them both to the floor, which was a good thing because it prevented them from being killed by the man who came around the corner shooting. Zeke rolled into the hallway to the left and Jet rolled into the one to the right. They were both watching the man down the hall they were just in with internal heartbeat sensors. Not wanting to risk extra attention Zeke gave the silent order to split up and meet at the terminal they were looking for. Zeke started down the hall and suddenly noticed a sharp pain in his leg almost causing him to fall over. He looked down to discover a piece of metal sticking into it. [RP] 11:14 hrs, 19th May, 3008 Modified LRT-15 Transport SS Vulture "Allright, let's get down to business," Zeke instructed Jet. They each took one side of the door, Rifles in hand and set for stun. They didn't want to start killing people if they could be on the ship for a while. Zeke held his hand up with three fingers up, then two, one. He hit the door release and they both spun out and around the door, Zeke pointing left and Jet pointing right. Just as their scans had indicated there was nothing in the corridor. "We need to find a computer terminal, which way?" "I am detecting what could be a terminal down this way." Jet informed and they proceeded to the left in the direction of the terminal. Zeke was just about to round the corner when he suddenly heard some shouting. "What are you trying to do Nimitz, get yourself shot up? Your lucky we didn't come around shooting!" He backed away from the corner silently, looking at Jet. "Three humans," Jet whispered. "We'll have to take the long way." They turned and went to the opposite end of the hallway, and this time were met with two Gams. Zeke fired once and then jumped back around the corner barely avoiding two shots which struck the wall loudly. Zeke hit the floor and rolled out from the around the corner, firing as he did this. One of the Gams was down and the other one running straight for Zeke who was just getting to the other corner and leaping to his feet. Jet reacted quickly and grabbed the unexpecting Gammulan by the back of the neck and lifting him into the air. He tossed and against the wall and blasted it dead with his wrist laser. "Are you allright Sir?" "I'm fine, let's get moving before we meet up with some of their friends, or even worse some of the passengers." Ah, finally, I am all caught up and ready for some action Sorry I was out of the loop for so long, car accident, yadda, yadda, yadda, I'm fine now and ready to write what I hope will be an interresting addition to this great story. [RP] 10:30 hrs, 19th May, 3008 Mk. II Battlecruiser UCV-Susceptor Medibay "Slow down, what happened?" Commander Stone demanded of the estatic medic. The medic took a deep breath and repeated his statement. The Cmdr. just stared blankly at the the man, he was bewildered by this news. He decided not to worry about the how or why now and proceeded to Engineering. Once in engineering he spotted his CSO, Jet Thompson, vigorously going from panel to panel tapping the touch pad screens. Stone looked at his Cheif Engineer, who also had a surprised look on. She looked back at him, questioning eyes. Stone just put up his arms, knowing just as much as she did. "Jet?" Stone said finally. Thompson did not seem to notice that anyone was even in the room, he continued his panel tapping. Stone went up to Jet, grabbed his shoulder and spun him around. "Jet!? What . . . how?" Stone didn't know what to ask first, but seemed to have Thompson's attention now. "I take it you know what I really am now." Thompson replied, looking at Stone with those haunting grey eyes. "I was going to build a new reactor for you..." "I have nanites that are automatically released when I sustain any damage. They repaired my reactor." Stone just seemed to stare at Jet, then he patted him on the back and allowed a smile. "Good to have you back man." Jet smiled back at his Commander. If only you knew the truth Zeke, if only you knew where I came from . . . where your own family originated, this was said only in Jet's brain, where no one could pry. "So, what exactly are you doing?" Stone went on. Thompson's mind immediatly went back to the task at hand, "During the time I was unconscious I came to a sort of momment of clarity where I believe I was given the answer to our current problem." "What?" "I have found a way to enhanse the cloaking device, but it will only work on a small vessel." 11:00 hrs, 19th May, 3008 Mk. II Battlecruiser, UCV-Susceptor Shuttle Bay "This is insane . . . you want to board the SS Vulture!?" Jake Burke, the ship's XO, exclaimed. "Aye, and you are going to fly us in," Cmdr. Stone said calmly. "Why aren't I going to there with you? Why is Thompson here going?" "So many questions, I'll answer them on the way," Stone said simply, stepping into the modified Shuttle. After a quick prelaunch sequence the modified shuttle cloaked and proceeded toward the SS Vulture. The UCV Susceptor, however, veered away and proceeded back to Pixan. "It's simply, Jet can mask our bio signatures and we need you to fly this thing back to Pixan." "What happened to our original Plan?" "It went out the window when my drone depleted it's power supply. What's the ETA to target?" Jake sighed, he knew he couldn't change his friend's mind, despite how crazy this plan sounded. "ETA to target is 2 minutes. One last Hyperjump. Whoa, I'm picking up something . . . no it's gone." Jet looked over the sensor readings, "It's a cloaked ship closing in on the Vulture." "Continue as planned," Zeke said relunctantly. A Jump Anamoly seemed to appear out of nowhere as the cloaked shuttle jumped to rendezvous with the SS Vulture. "They are decloaking . . . it's a Gammulan Supercruiser, engaging the Vulture." Zeke hesitated, could the Fleet Commander keep his small ship alive. He would have to risk it, this was his only chance to get aboard. Zeke gave the order to continue and just as they dropped out of Hyperspace the Vulture entered it, followed by the Gammulan vessel. Luckily, shuttles charge quickly and it wasn't long before Zeke's ship was in hot pursuit. "The Gams are beaming over Marines. This is our chance." Jake said quickly and Zeke and Jet ran to the transporters. 11:13 hrs, 19th May, 3008 Modified LRT-15 Transport SS Vulture Jet and Zeke materialized safely in an abandoned room. "Are we still here?" "No, I have masked our bio signatures. As for our visual signatures. . ." Zeke was thrown against the wall as the ship rocked from the Gam attack. He gathered himself up he noticed voices and weapons fire outside the room he was hiding in. He looked at Jet, they were both thinking the same thing, was this a fatal mistake? [/RP] There, this should make things more difficult for me ------------------ Commander Zeke Stone, Mercenary UCV-Susceptor - "Hope sees the invisible, feels the intangible, and achieves the impossible." [rp] 01:40hrs, 19th May, 3008 Captain's Quarters, UCV Susceptor Zeke sat in a comfortable chair and re-established the link to his drone onboard the SS Vulture. He was glad to see the blurred image re-appear, he had half expected it to have been destroyed by now. The drone was still on the ceiling of the briefing room, Zeke immediatly dropped from the ceiling and took flight. Out the door and into the hallway, noticing several people walking about the ship. The Mercs seemed almost nervous, they had their jobs cut out for them now. He followed one Merc who seemed to be following someone else, attempting to be silent and stealthy which he failed at miserably. The person the Merc was following Occasionally looked back, checking to see if the Merc was still there. He flew past this scene and turned into a turboshaft that someone was just getting off of. The drone landing on an access panel and interfaced with it. Now he was on his way to the bridge... "Zeke we've been cloaked to long, if we don't shut down now there is a risk of radiation leaks." the voice of Jake Burke announced over the intercom. "Decloak, but leave us on passive radar and try not to be make it too obvious that we are following them." Zeke accessed the computer again, trying to open the turbolift door but before he could the door opened and Karl Savage stepped inside. Flying to the roof of the lift he decided to see what the Fleet Commander was up to now. 01:50hrs, 19th May, 3008 Engineering, UCV Susceptor Chief Engineer Jesse Black stared blankly at the young engineer in front of her. She walked over and sat down on a stool, then returned her gaze to the engineer. "Jet is a what?" she asked for the third time. "An Android Ma'am. I saw it with my own..." "And Zeke wants me to build a small Nuclear Reactor to power Jet's body?" Jesse interrupted. "Yes, the size equivilant to a human heart." She stared at him again, then turned to the computer. Running some more tests while she let this new information sink in. "We'll have to do it after we get done running the tests on this new Reactor. I don't want it blowing up in our faces. Now go down to subdeck tunnel 5 and see if everything is operating there." Jesse ordered. The engineer was just turning into a hallway when there was the sound of an energy weapon firing. The engineer was knocked backwards and fell to the ground. Jesse looked up to see five intruders entering engineering. She immediatly ducked behind the terminal she was using. More firing and several other engineers were knocked to the ground, others were running for nearby exits and taking any cover they could find. A Pilot who was trying to get a better missile load on his interceptor pulled out his sidearm and, taking cover behind the reactor itself, began to fire back at the intruders. "Intruder alert! Teams Delta and Bravo intercept at once!" the intercom bellowed. The intruders stupidly began to fire at the pilot. The reactors newly installed sheild lit up as the weapons fire exploded against it. Shooting back, the pilot hit one of the intruders right in the head but in the proccess his gun was shoot to the floor. Two Marines entered and opened fire on the intruders. With the element of surprise on their side they managaed to take down, but not kill, another intruder. Now the intruders weren't so cocky and hid behind a computer terminal. The Marines didn't care, they shot at the terminal and it exploded into sparks sending two of the intruders sailing into the air. Four More Marines entering from behind the intruders and successful tackled and captured the two that had fallen. The remaining intruder dove behind a different computer terminal. Jesse jumped at the sight of the intruder and then froze at the sight of the gun. The Intruder seemed equally as surprised and almost shot her, then he realized that would be foolish. He had a much better chance of surviving if he used her as a hostage. He grabbed Jesse roughly and stood up with her facing the now eight Marines in engineering. "Drop your weapons or she dies!" the intruder yelled. The Marines stood their ground. "Throw down your weapon!" one of them demanded. "I'm walking out of here!" the intruder yelled desparately and began to back towards the door. The Marines did not follow. Suddenly, there was a thump and the intruder went limp and fell to the floor. Jesse looked and spotted a knife in the side of his head. Jake walked back out of the room, on his way back to the bridge. Sounds like more of personal dream than an idea Just kidding, it sounds like a great idea. Maybe we should just keep this quiet so no one will suspect it until it is too late, heh heh heh. Your good at ranting you know, I got caught up in that thing. The thing is though, there would need to be a way to tranfer fuel and cargo from one ship to another. I suppose you could eject the cargo, as for the fuel... I guess it all depends on just how realistic Battlecruiser Online is going to be eh? [rp] The UCV Susceptor hovered outside of Pixan Spacestation, awaiting the departure of the SS Vulture. Silent and cloaked the battlecruiser was seemingly one with space itself. Commander Stone sat alone in his quarters, a cup a scotch sitting aimlessly on the table. He stared at his scotch, it was his third glass. After he stared the glass down for awhile he decided that drinking himself stupid wouldn't solve anything and poured the contents of the glass down the sink. Normally Zeke wouldn't feel so bad about the loss of a crew member, but he had known Jet for a while and had no idea what caused his death. Zeke feared for his own life as well, what if it was some sort of contajent. "Medical Officer to Commander Stone." the intercom sounded. "Stone here. What is it?" "There is something down here I think you should see." "I'll be right there." Stone stood and walked out the door. He was hoping they had found the cause of Jet's sudden death. In the medibay he saw Jet's corpse laying there on an operating table with his Cheif medical officer standing over it. "What is it?" Zeke demanded. "Well Sir, while I was beginning to cut open the corpse I found that I could not do so, and did not need to anyway." "What do you mean?" The Medical Officer stuck his finger in the corpses belly button, there was a click and then he pulled the chest open. The corpses insides did not contain blood and veins, but microchips and wires. Jet was an android of some sort, made by who knows who. "My science officer was an android and I didn't even know," Zeke said, more to himself than anyone else. "Sort of, more of a cyborg actually. I scanned him and discovered he has a quite human brain, slightly modified to fit into this body. The reason he suddenly collapsed was the same reason our Nuclear Reactor went offline. His nuclear reactor went unstable and eventually shut down completely. I can bring him back to 'life' simply by installing a miniature nuclear reactor. Problem is finding one that will fit." "I'll get the cheif engineer to work on that. Tell me, how long has he been alive?" Zeke wondered. "If my scans are correct, over 500 years. Although I do not know who made him and for what purpose. He may have designed the body himself as a way to keep himself alive longer." the cheif medical officer said excitedly. "Good job, I well be back for an update later, but I have things to do now." Zeke finished and then turn and left the room. His first stop was engineering, he didn't even know if one could buy a reactor that small but he was going to get one if he had to build it himself. Okay, I thought you allready launched but aparently not, so I changed my last post to Zeke beaming to his ship when he sees the engines powering up. [rp] Zeke re-energized on the bridge as he commanded and found people hustling about busily. Zeke was not surprised in the least, after all he had just ordered the ship launched as quickly as they could manage. Then Cmdr. Stone noticed something he did not expect, there was someone laying on the floor, whether he was dead or unconscious Zeke was unaware. He approached the body cautiously and found it to be his Chief Science Officer, Lt. Commander Jet Thompson. "We have a medical team on the way, Sir. He suddenly collapsed in mid sentence just before you hailed us," Lt. Commander Burke informed. Suddenly, a medical team appeared out of the Turbolift. They reached Thompson's limp body and began to look it over. I'm not getting any pulse or respiration. They tried several different utencils to try and revive him. After about 20 minutes of working one of them looked at their watch. "Sorry Sir. Time of death, 1:25 am," the medic announced sadly. Zeke punched one of the consoles, and then regained his composure. He took a deep breath and said, "Tell Doctor Coleman to notify the family and arrange a funeral of some sorts. Also could you tell me how he died at least?" The medic did a scan of the lifless body and said, "Sir, I can't find any indication that there was a problem. I'll run a more thorough scan in the medibay and get back to you." The two medics, with the help of a marine, lifted the body onto the stretcher and proceeded to the medibay. Zeke turned to Jake, who looked very surprised. "What was he talking about before he collapsed?" "Well, that's what scares me. He was in a panic, rambling about the reactor or something." Jake responded in a whisper, not wanting to alarm the crew. "We'll talk more about this later, for now I must find out what's going on, on that ship. What's the ETA on the launched?" "Aproximately.... 10 minutes." Jake responded. "Good, don't bother me unless it's important. I have a drone on the ship and must keep my concentration on it." With that said, he walked over and sat in his chair. Jake went back to work. His drone was sitting on a wall and as Zeke returned his concentration to it, he suddenly noticed something very large heading his way. He responded by lifting off from the fall and flying away at top speed. The thing that had almost dissable his drone was a hand which belonged to one of the mercs. Wondering where the Mercs were heading, he did a backflip, flew over their heads and began to stalk them. With a lot of twists and turns on the way he eventually made it to a briefing room of some sort. There were many Galcom and Insurgent Officers there, and one Pirate whom he recognized as Jeremy Iron. He spotted who had been looking for standing in front of them all with the Isurgent One, Fleet Commander Karl 'Blades' Savage. He watched as Savage informed them all why they were assembled there and as the officers began to ask questions and make long pointless speeches. He found it all very interesting and knew now that the Marine he was looking for was not onboard but also knew that there may be some profit in keeping tabs on this whole thing. After all, he could nab that marine anytime, but this was a one time deal. He considered capturing the ship and selling the officers to various buyers, but knew it was probably next to impossible to pull that off and didn't want all of Galcom and the Insugents after him because of it. There had to be some profit out of this, and he would find it. ------------------ Commander Zeke Stone Mercenary UCV-Susceptor - "Never Give Up, Never Surrender" **Anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job** -- Douglas Adams -

Well it seems I need to get caught up, I didn't even realize there was a new thread until a few days ago and I've been very busy with Tech Crew stuff (you know like bashing old props and playing hide and seek in the theatre, heh heh ) [rp] 23:55hrs, 18th May, 3008 Docking Bay of SS Vulture Commander Stone had been watching from a distance as the Mercenaries let in several different Commanders, Galcom and Insurgent. He didn't know what to make of this but he had no doubt that it was something big. His bionic eye had scanned each officer and told him that some of them were important figures of both sides. As he watched the Insurgent Officer who was identified as Vice Admiral Chavik enter the ship he fired a drone into the doors. It flew passed the Mercs without them noticing and clamped unto the wall of the interior of the ship. The doors closed and he caught a glimpse of the drone unfolding itself into what resembled a small insect. A screen appeared on the top right of his view and he could now see what the drone saw. Pulling out a remote control Zeke sent the drone after Chavik as the Vice Admiral walked through the ship. Zeke found that the small device was extremely difficult to control as it moved about much like the bug it resembled. The drone soon lost track of Chavik and Zeke had to find his way around on his own. After some time of searching the ship Zeke was surprised to find it powering it's engines to leave the station. Zeke acted quickly and contacted his ship with his portable communicator. "Jake, beam me directly to the bridge and launch the ship ASAP!" "Aye Sir," Jake replied and he began to feel the transporter effects taking place. [/rp] Blades if you have a problem with my drone device, tell me now and I will have it destroyed somehow. [rp] 22:30 hrs, 18th May, 3008 Pixan in orbit around Lennen Corridor Zeke had been watching Kirin's quarters for what seemed like forever. He had seen a woman enter and exit the room but no activity from Kirin, until now. He saw a man, who he assumed was Kirin exit Kirin's quarters and begin to walk in Zeke's direction. Part way down the hall he met up with another man who looked to be a Commander. Zeke watched intently as the two men chatted. Some things he didn't pick up on but he did get that they were heading for the SS Vulture. He also noticed something strange, Kirin had placed some sort of device in the other man's pocket when he first approached. Either the other man didn't notice or he was trying to look like he didn't notice. Zeke decided to try to get some more info from them the old fashion way, interrogate them. He began to approach the two men, and he hoped that they hadn't heard of him allready. "Heya fellas, you look Galcom. Wouldn't happen to be heading to the SS Vulture like me would ya?" Zeke called, trying to draw only their attention. "I see, well do ya know why we be heading there, I wasn't informed on that part?" Zeke questioned. "That Savage can sure confuse people," Zeke tried, hoping they would say if Savage was here or not. "Yeah, well I'll see ya there, eh?" Zeke said cheerfully. "Nah, I'll find me own way der, thanks anyway," Zeke said and walked away from the two men. [rp] 14:15hrs, 18th May, 3008 Lennen, Sirius Approaching Pixan Starstation "Channel open Sir," The Comms Officer informed his Captain. "Commander Zeke Stone of the UCV-Susceptor requesting docking clearance," he would've got Kawalski request clearance but things happened quicker when he did it. After a few momments an audio only transmission came through from the station, "Sorry to keep you waiting Commander, after the SS Bengal exits Docking Bay 1 you can continue on in. Pixan Out." "Aye, Susceptor Out." The UCV-Susceptor was smoothly towed by Shuttle 1 toward Docking Bay 1. After the Canlon slowly departed the bay, the shuttle brought the ship in range of the bay's tractor beam before dissengaing his and returning to the ship. Inside the bay they were greeted with docking clamps and a slowing extending ramp leading to the station. Commander Stone used his terminal to search for the Shuttle they had followed. Once he found it he gave Jake Burke Command of the vessel and went on a solo mission. Memories of his days as freelancing Merc flashed through his mind and he suddenly felt like everything was going right for him. 14:30, 18th May, 3008 Pixan Starstation in orbit around Lennen Docking Bay 3 As Zeke wandering into the Docking bay containing the shuttle he noticed a person leaning over. The person was looking in a side panel he had open on the craft. "Howdie," Zeke called, trying to be friendly. This caused the person to promptly smash there head on the open panel which closed shortly after with a large clanging noise. "Damn. Hi there, what can I do for you?" the balding man asked. "Is this your shuttle?" "No, I was just.....looking it over," the man said as if he were being interrogated. Zeke raised his eyebrow and asked, "Do you know where the owner is?" "I think I saw him at the lounge," the man said quickly. Zeke was suspicious of the man's quickness to answer, as if he wanted Zeke out of there, but he decided it was irrelivant to him. He started for the lounge, hoping the Shuttle's owner would still be there. 14:40hrs, 18th May, 3008 Pixan in orbit around Lennen Lounge Zeke scanned the room for anyone who could be a Galcom Officer. Not seeing anyone too suspicious he noticed the bar tender was talking to someone. Reading the bartenders lips he saw that he had told the guy that there was a lot of strange people wandering around today. Zeke had a slight advantage when it came to reading lips. 10 years ago while he was hunting down a man known as Sadat he lost his sight from a close range laser blast. He got someone who owed him a favor to implant a cybornetic eye so that he could complete his job. After he killed Sadat, he paid the guy for the eye and has never bothered to repair his eyes since that. Only problem was, his left eye was still blind, which was quite easy to tell since the pupil was sort of clouded over. "Would one of those strange people happen to be flying a shuttle in Docking Bay 3?" Zeke asked the bartender. "I wouldn't know, people don't usually mention that kind of thing," the bartender replied, hardly noticing Zeke's eye, "Good to see you again Zeke, hunting someone down are you?" Zeke just grinned at the man and asked, "Got anything that may come in handy to me?" "Well, there were two guys in here talking, said they was Galcom. One called himself Kirin, the other Commander Jammont," the bartender kindly informed. Actually it wasn't just some friendly info, Zeke always paid him for it afterward. "Any idea where they were heading or staying?" Zeke pushed. "Sorry, they never said. But if they were just gonna blurt out there name in the lounge like that, you could probably find em with the computer." "Thanks," Zeke said and left the lounge. Well, as long as you have things balanced I think it's a great idea. Now I have a question of my own, if I were to have a person on my ship have certain qualities that make them superior, I'm assuming I need to give them some disadvantages as well. I got a few ideas buzzing through my mind that may make things interresting is all. ------------------ Commander Zeke Stone Mercenary UCV-Susceptor - "Never Give Up, Never Surrender" **Anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job** -- Douglas Adams [This message has been edited by Commander Zeke Stone (edited 10-24-2000).]

Time to get to Pixan [rp] 08:30 hrs, 18th May, 3008 Sol, Jupiter Captain's Quarters After Jake followed his Captain in, he was in no hurry to hear was Zeke had to say. In past experiences, the news was never good, especially if a drink a required. In fact, they had the drink first. "Well, do you care to know what it is I wanted to speak to you about?" Zeke asked finally. "This should be good," Jake said with a grin. "Oh, it is. You see while Mr. Thompson was explaining to everyone why the reactor wasn't working he was non-chalantly typing to me why it really wasn't working." Zeke started. "You mean, it isn't out of sync," it was a sarcastic tone that Jake was using. He had known for a while that one part of a ship couldn't go out of phase with time without blowing something up or dissapearing alltogether. "Actually, Thompson use his manual override code to shut down the reactor. He said that it was very unstable and could explode at any momment, on or off. He believes that it is a little safer while it is off since it would no longer be using Radine, but isn't sure." Zeke went on while making himself another drink. Mixing drinks was always a hobby of Zeke's. "So, what's your plan?" Jake said stiffly, then added, "and don't bother buttering it up, I know it's gonna be a crazy longshot." Zeke gave his friend a innocent look, "Me? crazy plans? You must be mistaken. Actually this one is quite simple, we eject the reactor into space and get towed to Pixan via Shuttle 1." Zeke smiled as he realized that he had finally puzzled his friend. Jake started to ask something but Zeke was answering the question allready. "Why Pixan, and not Earth. Well it seems we were missinformed twice, yet the first missinformant actually informed us correctly without even knowing it," Zeke paused just long enough for Jake start to ask another question then interrupted him, "How do I know this, well let's just say I have certain informants in strategically placed places." The two men sat there and continued to drink and think before they heard the door sliding open. It was Tacops officer Christel Swordo. "Haven't you ever heard of knocking," Zeke joked. Swordo smiled as they both knew the door was sound proof, "Thompson say that Part 1 is complete." "Thank you, Jake the bridge is yours. Someone one come and get me when the shuttles ready to launch." Cmdr. Stone said, dismissing Lt. Commander Burke Tacops Officer Swordo at the same time. What Thompson meant was that the Nuclear Reactor was ready to be ejected into space. Of course it was pointless and impossible to eject it at the momment. 12:30 hrs, 18th May, 3008 Sol, Jupiter Captain's Quarters As the door once again slid open, Cmdr. Stone jumped up from his snoozing and shuffled some papers to make it look as if he was working. "That won't work with me Zeke, I know what you were doing. Anyways, Shuttle 1 is ready to launch on your Command." Jake said and yelled something behind him. "Make it so," Cmdr. Stone ordered and made way to the Bridge. 12:35 hrs, 18th May, 3008 Sol, Jupiter Bridge "Tractor Beam engaged," Jake observed as the ship began to rotate. Once it was completely turned around, the lights flickered to life as the Solar Reactor came online. They were lucky to have a garden on board otherwise, they may run out of air. "Eject the Nuclear Reactor. Shuttle 1, take us to Pixan." Stone ordered. "Jump Anomaly Forming." "Entering Hyperspace." [/rp] Don't worry, it isn't just a coincidence that an informant just happened to know I was tracking a shuttle that showed up at Pixan. ------------------ Commander Zeke Stone Mercenary UCV-Susceptor - "Never Give Up, Never Surrender" **Anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job** -- Douglas Adams -
hahahaha, thank you Tyrn, "42", hehe, well it ain't 6 times 7 that's for sure. Anyone who has no clue what I'm talking about should read "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" by Douglas Adams. [rp] 08:10hrs, 18th May, 3008 Sol, Jupiter Bridge As his marine came back from engineering via the turbshaft, something struck Zeke as being odd. "Jet, why are the turboshafts still operating?" Cmdr. Stone asked curiously while the marine waited to be called upon. "Well, Sir, I anticipated that the reactor may shut at some point while we were unable to use the Solar Reactor and added a mini-reactor to each of the main turboshafts." "What would I do without you Jet," Zeke complemented and added,"What did she have to say Marine?" "She said she did not know what happened to the reactor but is working on getting both the solar and nuclear reactors going, SIR!" the marine exclaimed obediantly. "Jet could you and if so how long would it take you to install one of those mini-reactors to a shuttle bay door?" Cmdr. Stone asked. "Well, Sir, it is possible and it would take me approximately 3 hours if I started in 10 minutes." the Chief Science Officer calculated. "Get to it, use anything you need." Zeke ordered and Jet saluted him before heading for the Turboshaft. "Commander Stone?" Tobias LeBlanc, at the helm, called. "Yes, what is it ensign?" "I am not all that certain why we are pursuing these shuttles." Tactical Officer Burke was smiling, as he allready knew the answer. "If something is up at Orion, Savage is usually involved, and if he is on one of those shuttles he most likely brought Marines with him," Zeke explained then pinned on,"Jake, care to join me for a drink." Jake knew what that phrase meant, besides the consumption of alchohol, so he followed Zeke into his quarters. They had things to discuss that the crew should know about just yet. Don't let this one confuse you, I'll try to explain it well [rp] 0755hrs, 18th May, 3008 Sol, Jupiter Hyperspace As soon as they entered the Jump Anomaly, Commander Zeke Stone knew something was wrong. There was a bright flash, then every color seemed to be reversed. Zeke noticed that he could see everyone's and everything's insides. A sort of swirl effect happened and everything was normal, except they were still frozen. Next everyone jumped forward and they looked as if someone had taken a picture of them moving very fast. Another flash and they were back in real space at the exit anomaly. Zeke immediately hit a button on his chair which contacted his Cheif Science Officer, Jet Thompson. "Thompson here, what is it Sir?" "What just happened!" Zeke demanded. "Well Sir, let me finish some tests here." Thompson replied, surprising Cmdr. Stone with his quick responce to the situation. "Oh, dear..." Thompson said. "WHAT!?" Zeke yelled, something he tends to do when he's nervous or confused, in this case, both. "Well, Sir, I was running the initial test on that new reactor in shuttle four exactly when we entered hyperspace. When I activated the reactor it emmited a quantum pulse that mixed with the energy from the jump anomaly. This caused the Jump anomaly to act as a sort of Time Rift...." "Get to the point!" Zeke ordered. "In short, Sir, it tossed us ahead in the timeline by 2 days, 21 hours and 10 minutes." Thompson briefly concluded. "Damn! We'll never catch that shuttle now!" XO Burke blurted out. "Never say...." Zeke started and was interrupted by Helmsman, Tobias LeBlanc. "Mines! Dead Ahead!" "All stop! Sheilds Up!" Zeke acted quickly. "All stop, Aye Sir. Sheilds Up, Aye Sir" the helm and tactical said in chorus. "We'll have to take the long way to Earth." Jake Burke suggested. "Navigation, plot a course to Pluto and then to Earth." Zeke ordered. Everyone on the bridge heard the familar sound of the engines powering down, then the lights went out. Zeke tried to contact his Cheif Engineer, Jesse Black, but the comm system was down. "You!" Zeke yelled across the bridge with a finger pointing at a now incredibly nervous marine,"Go down to engineering and find out what's going on!" The marine left quickly, relieved to be out of the spot light and anxious to follow his orders as quickly as possible. As he was entering the turboshaft, Jet Thompson was coming out. "Sorry, Sir, I didn't get here fast enough it seems. The quantum flux has distorted the ships main reactor. It knocked it out of sync with time, or rather the reactor is still in May 15th, while we are in May 18th. It is gaining on us at twice the speed of the normal flow of time and I estimate it will catch up in 2 days, 21 hours, and 10 minutes." Jet completed. "So we have to run completely off the solar reactors until then?" Zeke quizzed. "Yes, Sir." "We'll have to turn the ship somehow so the solar reactors will click in." Jake added. "Well, Jake let's hope the person who laid this mine field isn't still here, and if he is, let's hope he isn't a Galcom Officer." This is like a book, except better [rp] 1030hrs, 15th May, 3008 Entering Jupiter Space Bridge As they cleared the jumpgate, Tacops Officer Christel Swordo immediatly checked for any trace of the shuttle they were pursuing. "Sorry Sir, we're too late. Although there are several trade ships and an Issurgent vessel in the area." "Remain cloaked, we don't want that Issurgent mistaking us for a Galcom Vessel. I don't have time for another fire fight." Cmdr. Stone ordered, refering to the hide and seek fire fight he had pulled off in Centris after the Orion Base spotted them. He was still wondering how they had seen him while he was cloaked and on Passive Radar. "Zeke, maybe one of these vessels could tell us where the shuttle went," XO Jake Burke suggested. "That is what I am hoping for. Send the following message to all trade vessels," Zeke cleared his throat beforing saying,"To all trade vessels, this is Commander Zeke Stone of the UCV-Susceptor, I am offering a 25,000 credit reward to anyone who can give tell me where a certain shuttle was heading." he gave his Comms officer Jaymin Kowalski the cut transmission signal. "Message has been sent Sir," Kowalski informed him. After several minutes a reply came through. "Sir, we are being hailed by the Terran Trader Vessel UCV-Tidal Wave," Jaymin said. "On Screen." "Greetings, I am Commander Sonya Conners of UCV-Tidal Wave. I believe I have some information that may be of use to you." "Well, by all means, please continue." "The Money First, Commander." Cmdr. Conners urged. Zeke quietly set an intercept coarse to the Tidal Wave. He knew she wouldn't reveal the info without the money and wanted to make sure it was the info he wanted. "I have transfered the credits to your ship, now continue..." "I saw a shuttle not too long ago, go through the Pluto jumpgate." Sonya Conners told him. "What was the shuttle's designation?" Zeke questioned. "Err....what? I didn't check," Cmdr. Conners studdered. "Well you must at least know what race it was..." Zeke interrogated, silently activating the hyperdrive. The Female Commander smiled, Zeke thought she had a lovely smile, "You caught me, no matter, I'll be out of here in two winks," She said ending the transmission. Commander Sonya Conners was happy with herself, she managed to make some free money without wasting fuel. "Jump anomaly forming!" her XO yelled in surprise. "Get us out of here, fast!" she ordered the helmsman. "Tractor Beam Engaged," Jake said. "Warning, sheilds are down," the computer said, responding to the Tractor Beam. "We got em Zeke." "Hail them." Sonya Conners lovely face again appeared on the viewscreen. "Commander, I believe you have something that belongs to me. As you can see, your ship is no match for my Mk. II Battlecruiser, so I suggest you return it to me." Stone warned the crew of the Tidal Wave. "I will return your credits if you give me your word that we will not be harmed." Commander Conners negotiated. "Commander, I don't even have time for an easy battle." he reassured ending the transmission. After the credits were returned he disengaged the tractor beam and the UCV-Tidal Wave left peacefully. "Commander, we're being hailed again." the Comms Officer spoke up. Well, I was gonna have my ship parked at Hereford, but if it's heavily guarded, a stolen Galcom Vessel wouldn't last long If it's highly unlikely that I would intercept the transmission then I figured I could improvise. Enjoy.... [rp] 09:30hrs, 15th May, 3008 Mission Zone 0, Moon Orbiting Centris Compound 2, Bunker 1 "4000" "4500, and that's my final offer," a tall rough looking fellow with long grey hair replied sternly. He had one of those moustaches that sort of just drop downward. Cmdr. Stone always thought people with those moustaches were lazy. "If you toss in some Radine for 3000 it's a deal," Zeke urged with an equally stern face. The tall, lazy man gave in to this, "How much do you want?" "500 Irdium and 1000 Radine," Zeke demanded. "Allright, we'll have it loaded up in 10 minutes if you keep your men out of the way." the man said, turning away and pushing angrily through his own men. It wasn't the price he had wanted but he needed the money for tomorrow. For a momment the men's escorts just stared at each other, guns ready to be raised at a momments notice. Then Zeke headed back to the launch pad where his shuttle was, his men followed, two of them walking backwards to keep an eye on the enemy at hand. Cmdr. Stone always liked doing his own bargaining. Some may think that he just didn't trust anyone else to do it, but in reality he just liked the tenseness of the whole situation. Stolen minerals for a stolen ship, that always made things extra tense. On the shuttle, he was surprised by a message from his ship. He opened the channel and saw the familar face of his XO Jake Burke. "Yes, what is it?" Zeke asked his friend casually. "Zeke, while you were on the surface 3 T1 shuttles have left Orion Station and went through the Sol Wormhole within a three hour time period." Jake informed him with excited look on his face. Zeke thought about this, could just be a coincidence. His instincts told him something was up though. "Prepare to follow the last shuttle that went through, I'll be up there in ten minutes." 09:41hrs, 15th May, 3008 Hovering over Compound 2, Mission Zone 0, on the Moon orbiting Centris Shuttle bay of UCV-Susceptor Heading for the turboshaft Zeke noticed his Cheif Science Officer, Jet Thompson, looking over Shuttle 4. Curious, he went over to have a word. "Jet, what are you up to?" he called. Thompson immediatly stood at attention at the sound of his Commander's voice. "Hello, Sir. I am just running some tests," Jet answered obediently and emotionlessly. "What are you testing?" "I may have found a way to increase the reactor's energy output and I was given permission to test it on this shuttle." Jet was a tall black man with an average build and haunting grey eyes. Zeke always found Jet rather strange, he could take anything from anyone without any retaliation but had once tossed a person across a room at Stone's command. He didn't look strong enough to heave a 300 pound man across a room, and Zeke had been joking when he told him to do this. On top of that, Jet was constantly making the ship better, he was regular genious. "Well, continue and inform me on your results." Zeke ordered and headed for the turbolift. On the bridge.... "Are we ready to exit the moons atmosphere?" Zeke directed the question to his XO. "Yes, all systems are ready to go." "Tacops, what's out there?" "I've got a clean scan, we should be fine unless Orion spots us." "Cloak the ship and go to passive radar." Cmdr. Stone ordered. "We're invisible," Jake informed. "Helm, take us away." With that the agile craft branded the UCV-Susceptor quickly accelerated toward the atmosphere of the small moon. Zeke had the feeling he was starting something he would regret.
