Well I haven't really started writing the movie yet. I figure I should wait until I become an experienced writer and director before I make this one. That's why I'm writing a book series at the momment, tis called 'The Secret Invasion'. I could tell you more of what the movie is about but I don't want to take the risk of someone stealing my idea. Is not that I don't trust you guys, I just don't trust other people that may stumble upon it someday. Slight miscalculation there. The ship actually goes 2,628,000,000 km/s which is about a lightyear an hour. I'm also changing it from Wormhole Drive Engines to Interspacial Tunnel Drive Engines. Commander Burke is refering to my PC, since his can't even run the game I think what he meant to say was the patches won't work because of the Cyrix and onboard SiS video card. If my bays were in a straight line they would be larger than the ship, but they're not in a straight line. There is 3 layers of docking bays, one on top of the other, but not touching each other. The top layer has three rows of 11 bays, middle layer has 2 rows of 11 bays, and the bottom has 1 row of 11. I should've cleared that up earlier. heh, I was thinking of using Plasma Sheilding for my behemith as well. Only mine is completed around 2150 and I plan on getting ship upgrades from friendly alien races or destroyed enemy ships, =). Maybe it's just me when I say this but would you agree that you need to be just a little crazy in order to be a writer? I mean, we think up these characters that are sometimes nothing like us. heh heh heh, seems I need to clear up a few things here. Akuma, you said Angel wouldn't kill because of his morals, well the question states that they would be 'programmed to kill the others', besides only Wolverine is actually 'alive'. Also like Harry said, where did you get the idea that Data is weak, he's aprox. 30 times stronger than a human. David, Wolverines claws aren't unbreakable, we just haven't found anything to break them, =). Parias, Kai has also lost his head many times, heh, he just calmly puts it back on, doesn't even need it to fight. Finally, the term 'Fanatical Fan' sounds a bit strange since 'Fan' is short for Fanatic, =). I wanted my ship to be the biggest and baddest ever, but I have heard there was a book once that had the earth turned into a ship. Since I do not wish it to be bigger than the earth I've been thinking of shrinking it to a more reasonable size. How does this sound? I love replies like this, they always get me thinking and in general help me along(this is not sarcasm). I found that you two seemed to forget one main thing....sheilds, the sheild on this ship is like a giant bubble, like in Independence Day, so in order to skim along the surface you would have to catch her while her sheilds were down. The powersource is some new and "supposedly" natural crystal that's about the size of two middle class houses. It gives off an immearsurable amount of energy. This was found either on Mars or Planet X. BTW, I know this sounds like I'm trying to make this ship unbeatable, well, I'm not. Actually I'm planning on having it destroyed at some point in the "movies"(theirs more than one, or will be anyway). But, I don't want to make it too weak since it is carrying the last of the human race. I haven't worked out the weaknessess yet, but trust me, there will be. Also, you both seem to mention the nukes going off and exploding the ship. Well, just like today's ship, those missiles are going to have a thousand safety features, including, not being armed until they are at a safe distance. These missiles and the Main Weapon (which also has no name)can only be fired if the computer gets the Captain's and Tactical Officer's, Card Code, Password, Voice Autherization, Hand Print ID, Retinal ID (not sure how to spell that), and DNA ID. Can't be too safe with weapons of this power. You two are also forgetting that the docking bays hold Cruisers, Destroyers, Carriers, Fighters, and so on... Question: If the the Presidents and Prime Ministers of each country are also on board this ship is the Captain still in charge? One weakness I can think of right now, is that the engines don't have much in the means of defence, besides the sheild and a bunch of Anti-Fighter Turrets. The docking bays are also a weakness, but of course you two have already mentioned that. Even though my ship is so big, it is almost no match for a Zimrat Ship. The Zimrat turn all of their ships into one huge one for travel. During battle they detach into about 600 farely large ships. Their numbers, speed, and maneuverability are too much for my ship. Something to remember if your fighting against my ship with a Fighter: The large black tunnel is not a good place to hide as it is more than likely my turret. =) I am hoping to make this movie as realistic as possible, but I do want the ship to be this big. I'm still trying to think of a good reason for it to be so big. I'm actually going to link this movie to the book series I am beginning to write now called "The Secret Invasion". I am not going to actually start writing the script for this movie until I feel I am an experienced enough writer and director. Okay, Since they closed my "U.N.S. ????" thread I'll just have to ask the same question here and hope that people will look at the bottom of this thread. I ask again, does anyone have any good ship names for a ship that holds the last of the human race? BTW this movie idea WAS NOT taken from Titan A.E., if anything they took the idea from me. I came up with this about a year or two ago, long before Titan A.E. was even heard of. As some of you may know I'm a writer and in the future I'm planning on creating a movie about an immense Mobile Battle Station. I use the classification Mobile Battle Station because it is approximately 177 km long. This ship fights to save the Earth and fails. The Earth is destroyed and the survivors are onboard this ship. I was originally going to call it the U.S.S. (Universal Starship) Hawkeye, but I feel I need more of an appropriate name considering it holds the last of the human race. I'm also changing U.S.S. to U.N.S.(United Nations Starship) because U.S.S. sounds to much like United States Starship and since Starship is one word anyway it cannot be U.S.S.. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for a name? My main duties are to sit in this uncomfortable chair, aimlessly trying to find different ways of saying "he/she said" while enjoying a glass full of Pepsi in my favorite mug (which, might I add, appears to be indestructable). When my characters begin to annoy me I go and play BC3000AD where I give the orders. I'm feeling a little bored tonight so I decided to drop this little tip in to anyone who hasn't thought of it. If you ever want to quickly drop the fatigue factor of you officers and pilots, simply send them all to the medibay (I suggest sending everyone to the medibay so that this will not cause other crew members fatigue factor to increase). Next upgrade one of your systems, for example your Nuclear Reactor because I like to say that. Make sure to do this near a space station, dock with the station and repair the reactor which, of course, drops to 50% when upgraded. Do this a couple more times if needed. Of course this method requires you to have some money so that you have two different Nuclear Reactors. P.S. Those little buggers get on my nerves, they go so fast that your weapons can keep up with them (don't know why they do it, they can't shoot either). Only way I've found for your ship to keep up with them is with the autopilot, problem is that the autopilot turns to damn slow. I wanna know if there's anyway that I can go as fast as the autopilot goes without the autopilot? Thank you for your kind words pkzip. I'm currently trying to think of a reason for it to be build this large. My current idea for that the ship will be able to generate it's own wormholes to anywhere in the universe (probably not anywhere, there is always certain limitations for any mechanical device) and it will have to use "wormhole engines" to propel itself to the proper speed to get through the wormhole. So I was thinking that it needs to be this large so that it will not collapse under the pressure of the wormhole. I do not know if this will work or not, I guess I need to research more on wormholes. I am also thinking that after the Earth is destroyed in my movie that they change the name of the ship from U.S.S. Hawkeye to something a little more appropriate (haven't thought of what that will be yet). Well Robert I used the idea of an asteroid being directed toward Mars because scientists believe that this is what actually happened to Mars, although your idea is a good one, at least the part about the Zimrat ships scorching the surface of the planet. Also I cannot make it so they build the ship in revenge because just like life now they don't know that there are aliens out there, the memory of the Zimrat and our ancestors on Mars was lost in the 2 million or so years since. I also like the idea of an exploration stuck out in space while the planet was being destroyed. Great new idea I thought up. As some may know I was going to originally have a very large, very powerful pulse laser capable of destroying planets. Well instead I'm going have large clear domes covering the imidiate front of the ship. When they charge up you can see a sort of spiraling blue dust building up inside of them. It's blast is an enormous shockwave that spreads up, down, left and right.
