Evolution is it a Fact or a Theory?
Wolferz replied to LostInSpace's topic in Science, Technology & Health
Looks like you boys are having fun in here. Evolution is happening as we speak. Want Proof? I will put forth a statement but I will not provide proof ,simply because I do not have access to the research, but, always the big but, Take a look at the organism that causes the Flu, Every year they seem to discover a stronger strain of the virus, therefore that virus is adapting to it's environment so that it may proliferate it's species.Evolving if you will. Evolution has been nothing more than a species adapting to it's environment so that it can survive and continue the species. Homo Sapiens is not an exception to the rule. We too are evolving, adapting, and taking from nature what we need to survive, sometimes to excess and the detriment of our environment, so we again will adapt to these changes. Early man was fairly ignorant of the environment in which he lived, which would naturally lead to the mystical assumption that what was here was just magically placed here by some deity. We have no way of knowing what the concrete facts of our coming into existence are, since it took a very long time before we evolved beyond grunts and screams to a more tangible form of communication. Unfortunately, the earliest writings were lost to time, decay, and disaster, or worse yet, the aspirations of manipulative men seeking power over other men for their own ends. the truth is out there. Somewhere. For now we have only scientific observation and study of our planet to go on. To those whose only wish in life is to shove their beliefs down the throats of everyone else They should read the following... PC Game Sales - Top 20 games of 2003
Wolferz replied to Supreme Cmdr's topic in PC Gaming & Technology
LOL The Sims??? Nothing more than a Barbie and Ken computer game. I guess it sold well because there was such a vacuum in the PC game market for pre-adolescent girls, geeks and lonely perverts. It was a gold mine waiting to be tapped. DOAEBV took care of all them raging hormone pre-adolescent boys. I'm surprised it wasn't in the list. Mothers tend to shield their little boys from such things, but apparently Dad was right in there with his daughter playing the Sims. Creating mom in the virtual world and laughing at her lamentations while virtually cooped up in a 4x4 cubicle to die. -
Hydrogen Fuel Cells a Reality
Wolferz replied to LostInSpace's topic in Science, Technology & Health
I read an article once in the recent past about a fellow who had retrofitted his diesel powered Volkswagon car with a hydrogen seperator, which then fed the hydrogen into the combustion chamber. He chose a diesel engine because of the sturdiness required for the high combustion pressure of diesel fuel. His only source for the hydrogen came from his garden hose.I have seen no more about his invention since then. I wonder why???rolleyes: For the little bit I know about chemistry... Isn't hydrogen not only combustible, but EXTREMELY! combustible? Therefore making it very dangerous to public safety to even consider retrofitting automobiles with hydrogen storage tanks? Maybe I need to start studying Chemistry. -
School Uniforms (and other uniforms)
Wolferz replied to Kalshion's topic in Politics, Religion & Legal etc
School uniforms are just another lesson to be learned by today's youth. Teaching them to dress for success is not a bad thing. My kids were not required to wear a uniform persay, but a mandatory list of what was acceptible clothing. It didn't hurt their individuality in the least. Quite the contrary, My son quickly learned that girls paid more attention to him for being well dressed. And the added bonus was his interest in school took a 180 degree turn. He started getting better grades. My daughter however, was always getting called on the carpet for wearing a skirt that was shorter than allowed. I managed to get a dig in on the faculty after being called to school for one of her violations::: Seated in the office of the Principal, She and I were being read the riot act by a vice-principal who was wearing a dress that also violated the dress code. She was leaning over resting her elbows on crossed legs and the top of the dress was so loose that nothing underneath was left to the imagination! When I stood up and informed both of these individuals that it was ludicrous for them to guide my child on proper dress when they couldn't dress themselves properly, The principal was literally shaking in his chair and stammering when he spoke. When I stepped out of the office into the hallway Two security guards showed up very soon, acting like they were going to kick me off the premises until a teacher walked past and addressed me by name. LOL That teacher I had for Biology when I attended that school LOL In conclusion, Uniforms are ok for private schools but there is also nothing wrong with public schools having a strict uniform dress code. -
YOU SODDING BASTAGES!!! a free poster of the galaxy!! I think I'll take my little map and have it blown up.

Whose fault was it? Romans Or Jews
Wolferz replied to Supreme Cmdr's topic in Politics, Religion & Legal etc
Well spoken rToolooze, and the closest thing to the truth of the matter. The Jewish religious leaders of the time enjoyed a lavish lifestyle and great respect from the people. Jesus however went against everything that afforded them that lifestyle. They percieved him a threat, as was God's intention. So in the background they plotted his demise. The purpose of the Messiah was to release the chosen people from sin and be their king. What they didn't understand at the time was he wasn't to be their king in the mortal sense of the word. After his death, Christ spent 3 days in Hell defeating the spiritual death we were all doomed to suffer because of the original sin against God by Adam. Christ emerged with the keys to the pit and saved us all from eternal damnation. Jesus knew this from the beginning and he informed his desciples during their travels. Jesus was the personification of positive thinking which is a gift from God that we all have. Try it sometime and see what happens. -
Personally, I don't follow the DreamCrusher forums because I don't see any productive value in doing so. It seems to me that the gaming industry has devolved into catering to the mindless amoebas who inhabit this planet.I have waited a very long time to find a game that actually requires firing a few neurons to play. The BC series filled that desire and it did so in spades. thank you masked man Tutorials??? If you need a tutorial to hold your hand when learning the ropes of a game, take it back to the store cuz you ain't smart enough. The thrill of a new game is not in going through the tutorial to become an instant Ubermeister, it's in the trial and error of trying different things and see how and if they work. I love getting plastered after making a mistake. So, let the detractors and the moreoffs howl all they want. It doesn't stop those of us who have developed brains from playing the games we love. Moreoff:(noun) a Homo Sapien who has not passed the standard test to graduate to Moron.

Gee, the Canucks are coming across the border worse than our southern border friends. Welcome to the BC Community

You shouldn't expect any less from the Communist News Network. They ceased reporting raw news during Operation desert storm. Watching Wolf Blitzer running around on a rooftop like a scared little girl was priceless news bungling After that it seems that CNN is only interested in reporting what they think we should hear and see.

"Ahem" That was an interesting read.... It's really odd, the way the guys with the money and the contacts like to push the little guys around. It's remeniscent of secondary school bullies. What I really found funny during my days in school was that every bully I was confronted with, would back down if I responded in a threatening manner. A quick pop in the nose usually took the wind out of every one of them, so.... Seems it's time for the little guys to take a swing at the folks who haven't graduated from the Neanderthal mentality to the Homo Sapiens mentality. I have witnessed the unscrupulous dealings of many busineses in my lifetime. If they weren't screwing their customers out of money to boost their profits, they were putting it to their employees. It seems that publishers are no different than the rest of the greedy bastages out there in this world. They look for an Indie Dev to screw, thinking he/she won't have the resources to fight for what is rightfully theirs. Bust them up side the nose, SC. you can doo eet

Iraq, and the things the press isn't telling you
Wolferz replied to a topic in Politics, Religion & Legal etc
Nukes??? Weee dohn need no steeeenking Nukes... We have the MOAB and some fuel/air explosives that will curl anyone's hair. The FAE will cause just as much death and destruction as a Tactical nuke, without the residual radiation. So we can come in afterwards and bulldoze the resulting mess into a hole and bury it. So, C'mon world, step up to the batters box. If ya wanna play, We can play. We could, quite literally, eat China's lunch and spit Watermelon seeds at them afterwards. -
/stands up and shouts indignently.... I am not a guinea PIG! I'm a Gerbil Just keep me away from that Joe Cartoon fellow. Thanks

CALS don't work (or don't know how to use)
Wolferz replied to claudedavid's topic in Battlecruiser Series
CALS requires a little bit of time to calculate the landing vector. Try activating it as soon as you make planetfall and see what happens. 30 meters from terra firma will get you crunched up every time. It sounds like you turned the A/P off right before landing. The computer isn't perfect. Depending on the terrain, Mother can sometimes boot every crew, ember out of their racks with a hard landing. Thus are the rigors and pitfalls of commanding a large space vessel. -
Goatman---Rubbish! Take your obvious trolls back under the bridge, please. You are amongst people with high IQs here and your post flies like a Lead Zeppelin Painted with thermite

/Wonders if she returned that big pink rock she got from DUUUH Ben, I actually consider J Lo a biscuit and nowhere near the kind of woman I would date, much less marry. She is doomed to the same genetic disorder that most all women of hispanic descent suffer. She will become fat and dumpy as she ages. Run Ben, Run.

Mike is digging his hole a little deeper, kinda like Saddam. Does he think Microshaft is going to buy back their legal documents from Ebay? All I can say is, I don't trust those Canadians with their beady eyes and those flapping heads oh, and all the crepitation jokes. Keep jamming them Mikie, It might end up costing your parents the farm.

Anyone want to wager that the FBI is looking for this guy? He's got Flim Flam written all over him. LOL Poor Kevin, I wonder who signs his Paychecks?... Krusty the Klown? That's who used to sign his paychecks Oh and Race, Noone is going to see a beta unit of this piece of junk. The guy is living the high life off of suckers by using smoke and mirrors. He's there one second Dazzling everyone with his brilliance, then *POOF* the smoke pot goes off and he disappears, leaving everyone baffled and holding a handful of Bull Sh*t.

Iraq, and the things the press isn't telling you
Wolferz replied to a topic in Politics, Religion & Legal etc
No no no, Dr D We are of the mind of one free world. Voice all the opinions you wish, but don't cry about the counterpoints. Or come off with a snotty attitude towards those who will inevitably shoot holes in your views. Your posts seem a bit arrogant and condescending, Whiich is typical of the Swiss. Now mind you, I am not verbally attacking your country and countrymen without just cause.. albeit, Whose country claimed neutrality during WW II, but in the background was financing Hitler's war efforts?Whose country prides itself on training every able bodied man to fight? I bet your weapon is under your bed, isn't it? If ignorance is bliss, you must be one of the happiest fellows on the planet. We are all just little specks in this great big shrinking world. Do you really believe your barbs are going to change everyone's mindset? Taking Saddam off his high horse was necessary, no matter which view you have for the reasoning behind it. Of course! Iraq is still a dangerous place to live. So is every other piece of dirt on this planet. Not one of us can say with truthfulness that we feel safe. I don't, never have and never will. On a more personal note, I tire of reading your edicts. BLOCK -
That is a prime example of the elitist attitude of big business. I would have responded with something lewd and crude, but no counter offer. The kid is not infringing on anyone's copyright with that domain name.Period! Stand your ground Mikie. /me chuckles while finishing construction of yet another pipe bomb.

So, which is it Ep5? On the one hand you're trashing everything in the game and on the other You're calling it a winner. From your descriptions of gameplay, sound, and graphics I wouldn't touch it with your Computer

At least now the truth is out.... Saddam was not only abusing his people, but Gerbils too! I'm sure Joe loved the guy and has his picture hanging on his wall. Probably has a statue of Saddam on order.
