I usually end up formatting my drive(s) about once a year to stop the O/S slow down. never though of ghosting the drive though. I'm getting windows XP and cd writer and a new video card soon though and will be doing a format then so I will ghost the drive and burn it to cd. Thanks for the idea.

OK I have to be the odd one out at everything. I use MSN IM still have an account on ICQ on my home pc but can't use any chat progs at work so they don't get used much anymore.

Heres a very old one for you. Deutrous(sp?) its an old atari ST game but I think you can get it on pc from underdogs a very good game I have it with an ST emulator so if you can't find it send me a mail/personal message and I'll forward both to you

The pricing for ADSL just got announced over here by the national phone co. its dear enough £150 setup fee and £100 a month with a per MB cost on downloading after a certain limit has been reached. How does this compare with elsewhere or are we getting screwed over here (AGAIN!)

I am currently scrimping and saving for a GF3 to replace my voodoo 3 3000(I placed my order for BCM yesterday) hopefully I will have the card before I receive BCM expecially as I'm upgrading to Windows XP at the same time.

Sorry I have to agree with Jaguar on this one. I admit the Slave girl had that dirty/wild sexy appeal but seven of nine was instantly georgeous and the more you got to know of her the more you wanted to know.

Ok I have a problem, I have been debating whether or not to post this but I finally decided I would. I downloaded the Ep2 demo a while back(after playing ep1 for ages) and went to install it on my pc the install went fine but when I try to run it i get the BC3000 logo and then get a error log and the program shuts down. I tried uninstall and re-install but still get the same error. I have a dual boot between win 2k and 98 so I rebooted and tried again in win 98, and after install the game crashed on first attempt but worked fine on the second. I have read the FAQ and have tried all the fixes I think would help (mostly my vid card) but I can not get it to run in win 2k. Please help I will be switching to purely win 2k/XP soon and would like to be able to run BCM when it comes out. My specs are: Intel pIII 600MHZ 128MB ram 13GB hard disk (7GB free) Voodoo 3 vid card(drivers as required for 98 and 2K) Soundblaster live value USB intellimouse USB thrustmaster joystick Please help

Probably take a few days and try each of the careers getting used to the controls and stuff, The take a commander carrier and take a nighstar deep into Gamulan space and see if I return in more than a body bag

I don't think BC3000 has a steep learing curve but it definatly is a constantly continuing one. I admit it took me a while to learn the game but once I read the manual and the included readme and PDF's I was handling my BC with ease. Now I admit I still have stuff to learn ( I don't have much time to dedicate to gaming with work and family and stuff ) but I'm continually learning and its not difficult.

I've seen Tomb Raider and I thought it was a let down. Movie tie ins of Games DO NOT work. Period.

Interesting choice LOL Orion fleet is a good fleet (not as good as Wraith though). Joining a fleet is not restricted to users of BCM (as it has not been released yet that would make fleets a bit on the small side). The fleet forums are mostly rolplaying forums for discussion with other members of your fleet(and planning ops when multiplayer comes along :-) ), you have no need to request permission to join a fleet here before registering in the database but it's usually courteous to introduce your self to your fleet upon joining. I'm leaving the what is roleplaying question to someone else I can never explain it well enough but take a read of some of the threads in the roleplaying forum and it will give you a good idea. Hope this clears somethings up anything I've missed feel free to get me to clear it up. Welcome to the world that is BC/BCM

Alright Paddy hows things I've had a few hand slappings from the SC on the boards aswell, it happens can blame the SC he's just trying to keep control and not give himself an even bigger work load, his policies are fair and at least he uses the same rules for everybody.

For all UK/Ireland viewers the Starship Troopers CGI is shown on saturday and sunday on Sky 1. I have seen most of the episodes at this stages as sky have repeated the series a few times now but they are very good and well put together. I wait to see if the second series will appear

did the previous ruling not state that Gates could not have a controlling interest in both companies (in the case of MS been broken up) he could only control one of them he could own shares in the other co but not a controling share.

Got to laugh all the people on the forum are the lazy gits who couldn't be bothered to check here for issues with the demo. If they put the effort in they would realise what great games BC3K and BCM are/will be.
