Until I get back my network on, I won't go on AW... but I'm only a tourist. I could try this weekend one morning. What world and adress? What time? (please specify GMT) The reason that AW is so unused is that the graphics are extremely poor, no acceleration. I mean, i know it isn't about graphics, but walking in the alpha world is really yucky and sllllllooooowwwww....

Ok, want my personal advice and comments? 1 - Midi music makes the website seem very cheap... I turned down the volume as soon as the music started. But I'm used to listening techno-trance mp3s 2 - Times New roman. Change the font... the are soooo many people using that bad (my opinion...) font... it drives me away. Change for arial, verdana or ms sans serif. 3 - The colors? Brown background? Good, but not with red, blue and green links. Seems weird. Use tones of yellows and orange. You took the image of Earth on our website or what?

The canadian dollar falling? I know exactly why... we borrowed a bit too much money from the US between ~1965-1995, and we ow about 600 billions to the US and some other countries. That makes abot 100 million dollars crossing the borders of canada each day. Releving to my school economy course, the dollar value will go up if we export (make money) more than we import (pay for stuff), and vice-versa. Since we are paying a lot of interests to the us, our dollar is falling, and us' one is climbing. If only we could clear a lot of our dept, but they aren't intelligent enough at Ottawa. WWIIOL BCM! Hem... there's one thing lacking (correct me if I'm wrong) in BCM : atmospheric flight "model".

Rambus is better than sdram for server stuff, but rambus is not better than DDR mem for anything.

I see mods floating around in the near future... Can we literally modify the universe? Is there a way to "add" a gate that will lead to a new area (will the Vesperon finally build their procyon link?) If there is any mods that will be floating around, I think the "high-detail" BCM mod will be the most popular! Counterstrike for BCM!

I don't hope so. It would be one of the other "Derek mistakes", and he would hear about it for the rest of his life. GCO will have a lot of competition. Even seen the number of MMOG that will be coming out soon? The only space thing I know will be Star Wars galaxies, but it will not be near the comcept of GCO. SWG will be much more rp based.

I do enjoy it too. Why no PDF? Another thing: why won't you let unprofessionnal fans try to make a story? Or help you for anything else? It's free, and since it is, it's not made for the money, it's made for fun an for the interest of the game. It's adding stuff without adding production-costs. And you have all the possibilities of modifying the stories, rejecting them, and to put them under your copyright. I just want to know why. I know I can't help very much, but I see here a few people that could help you make a even better game. You may not have the time to do the stories, but some people on the board do have that time, and some of them even have the talent. Just want to know why. Official or not, a small excerpt like that one is just giving some atmosphere and idea of what's (maybe) going on.
