Or something. don't recall. and i ESPECIALLY didn't do the second one. I once fell for one of those .. you know, the "you are an idiot" song with a gazillion popups, it was even hard to use the task manager to terminate iexplore.exe

i recall shuttles bobbing a bit in BCM, althought I'm not sure if the water itself had some kind of movement. I have questions on my own - Thats great, but you're gonna have to play the game and find out. No more silly and foolish questions in this thread - or the forum - please. Enough is enough and its just getting plain ridiculous. [ 11-14-2003, 08:49 PM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]

Lol i wonder what people would say about my playlist? If you look carefully, i even got some eminem and other stuff i hardly ever listen to on my list .. i need to clean up At work, when i tell people i like techno, dance and trance, yet i never went to a club, they go like wtf? My favorite song, despite the predominent techno and dance stuff, is Evanescense - Bring me to life. I actually know the lyrics by heart! I sing it at work to pass time (i work in a noisy place, so no one hears me). -
quote:Originally posted by Rm: Nokia said in a press release that they expected it to happen That brings up a simple question - If they knew it was going to happen, why didn't they spend more time/money on developing a more effective CSS? to what end? you can't stop em. sure it would have slowed em down, but...

quote:2: no withholding, you have to write a check for the whole year on October 15th.Actually, as a sidenote, it's an option over here - you can select to have that, not by default though. Once it happened to my mother that she was switched to that method accidentally - and she was *****ing because she preferred the other way - simpler, no having to keep money on the side. She eventually got back to the original taxing method. I understand that what you are trying to eliminate is the illusion that the goverment is giving you more money than taking, but the actual system does have its advantages. quote:Also, you only get, 1/2 of the paycheck that you recieved in private life. If you made 40K a year, you get 20K, you got 250K you get 125K, etc, etc. Whatever your annual salary was in the private sector, you would get half of that being a senator or a congresscritter. And there would be NO pensions of any sort.Yes, and if some dude was a company president or some successful lawyer making 5 millions or more a year + bonuses, he's gonna get 2.5 millions a year from the government. Sorry, that idea is flawed.

heh, nice. Only missing a chopper, then Travolta would (practically) never have to worry about traffic

Once there was these 3 men in the army, patroling in Iraqi territory. They found this beat up mangled Iraqi laying dead in the ditch on the side of a road. Then a minute later they found a half dead American on the side of the road with blood and guts all over him. This was his story "Well I seen this Iraqi dude and told him that Saddam was a stupid jerk. He then said Clinton was a stupid jerk too. When we both agreed and were shaking each other's hands we got ran over by a truck."

quote:Originally posted by Sebbish: But then what would be the point of the movie? I, for one, HATE apocalyptic futures (except The Matrix). Why does it seem like everyone thinks the future is going to be so bad? Because you can't make a good story out of a happy-happy-love-love future. Good stories involve a conflict of some kind, a problem.

ooh moderator hat .. i wonder how it looks like .. maybe like this? Or that? I know! like that! *snickers*

looks good BUT .. as opposed to similar movies such as armageddon, deep impact, or the core, i don't see where there can be a "hero" to save the day. At best i can see a bunch of people trying to survive a climate change but i don't know how it can end up being heroic, and since it's not a true story (true stories dont need a hero), it sounds like a show-off movie. To make a long story short, it sounds like it's going to be a story-less all-SFX movie.

could you give out what faction/caste you were playing, which station you launched from and where you went mining? -
GBS3 - i don't know Base Building - I'm pretty sure that's a no Crawl, lay down - Yeah I'm pretty sure Various careers and assets - the list of assets and careers is available in the appendix that came with bcm/g. While the info didn't changed that much beyond the looks you can still get the bc3k manual here Due to UC's name change, will that also effect BC Online's name? - I think Derek metionned that BCO would remain BCO. but that can change.

quote:Damn, looks like Sea Dogs 2 oppss I mean pirates of the carribean (I still like giving that jab ).ooh .. i never actually bothered to check that game.

Anyone else following the developpment of this game? It's a niche game (and a MMORPG) starting in the year 1720 when the 3 great powers were fighting for the Carribean sea, along with opportunistic pirates. Flying Lab Software is another indie developper who chose to NOT have any publisher and distribute the game via Valve's Steam. the game is broadband only, and only top gaming machines will handle the game, with ships said to have as up to 350k polygons each .. Graphics are looking VERY good, with waves and realistic reflections in the water (which is not even done worked on yet) .. just look at this , or some of the pics in this developper log Due out Q1 '04, but it will not have all the features implemented yet in Release 1 http://www.burningsea.com/
