Damn, s.it like this makes me want to get my shotgun, call the cops and tell them that if they can't administer some justice then I will do it myself. Then if they (cops are "powerless") I will do revenge onto the other guys car and when the cops call me I would say, "I have a family car and am not sure if my mother in law, my sister, my brother, any of thier or my kids were driving the car, BUT I WILL ASK AROUND."

The really sad part is, that guy was going to win the elections. Look at the polls if you don't believe me, he won those by a landslide.
-
Yeah, that's socialism for you. They don't like what you got to say, they shut you up either with their "You are offending us" quote or ANY other way they can.

LOL< I just read my post above, I think BCM has really spoiled me.

I picked up the official guide today. This game world is HUGE. I mean really really HUGE. It's really worth picking up the official guide for this game just to see what else you can do besides what you have already been doing. The only thing that I can't get off my mind is that all the quests in the game are structured so while it may take you 6 months to get through the game it will still end, I hate it when developers don't make a persistent universe with unlimited randomly generated quests, it would be really awesome if Morrowind included that with it's immense pre-written quests, I mean in this day and age it should be a given in any game.

WOW, that majorly sucks.

Can I get the last word, please, can I !!!

Oh Menchise Menchise, ok lets try this again. First. There is no masacre. OFFICIAL, it was an OFFICIAL REPORT, by PALESTINIAN MAN, the MAN WHO IS PALESTINIAN, WORKS FOR PALESTINIAN GOVERNMENT, WORKS WITH YASA ARAFAT, THE YASA ARAFAT, the Yasa Arafat who is a PALESTINIAN LEADER, and that PALESTINIAN LEADER AGREES, that means that yes, you guessed it, the YASA ARAFAT HIMSELF agrees that there was no masacre. Are you still going to post that there is? Second. Read the part about where I say that in America the people should be AMERICAN. I didn't say that all the races in America should be devided, I said that all the races in America should be American. What that means is I don't care if they are white, black, chineese, Japanese, Mexican, Albanian, Russian, British, WHATEVER THEY MIGHT BE, I want them to be AMERICAN if they leave their country of origin and come here with intent to enjoy the benefits of this country. I want them to be patriotic, to absorb the AMERICAN CULTURE, and to SPEAK the American language. I DON'T want them come here, and talk trash and dislike this country and say how somewhere else it's this and somewhere else it's that because if over there is this and that then GO THERE. Don't come here and try to set up a part of your country of origin here, it's USA and NOT ANY OTHER COUNTRY, nor SHOULD IT BE. And last, that part about PHOBIA. Liberals are very quick about pointing things out and attaching PHOBIA at the end. Well let me tell you something, about PHOBIA. All the liberals claim to be so accepting about everything while in truth they are not, they are the first ones to scream PHOBIA while none exists. It's NORMAL to want to preserve your country, it's heritage, it's language and everything else, the liberals are the ones who are PHOBIC about everything because normal people look at something that someone with your belifs would label PHOBIC and say "what are you talking about, this is not phobic, this is just RIGHT". Tell me, are Israeli people Pelestinophobic when they see a Palestinian man walking into a coffee shop or are they just afraid that they will get killed because so many arab looking man have walked into coffee shops and blown everyone up. So you damn right I am *PHOBIC*, I am PHOBIC about loosing the future that I have hoped for when I emmigrated from Russia TO US. I PHOBIC of loosing this country to people who are here to destroy it, and I am PHOBIC of the same thing happening to Israel.

OK, Played it untill 3:00 AM last night. Overall the game is good. The weather is great, but what really brings out the games graphics the night. You can climb up on a high mountain and overlook a city at night, or look up at the sky and see the moon with stars and the clouds rolling by, it just looked so real the first time I saw it that I actually stoped walking and looked around for a couple of minutes. Also there was a surprise when I was exploring a city and all of a sudden the weather changed, clouds rolled in, it became noticably darker and the rain started pouring. So as you gather from this the graphics are awesome. Then comes the gameplay. Which is also nice overall but there are some major (or minor to some) let downs. The first dissapointment came when I tried to jump. You see, the character doesn't really jumt, it just kinda gets flinged straight up and you hear a very annoying sound when he comes back down. I mean it just feels like this was just thrown inn at the last moment and is very frustrating and dissapointing considering that it really does come in handy to jump sometimes and considering the ammount of time that was spent on everything else it's a bit of a letdown. Then comes the combat. Again a little bit of a letdown, but it becomes less noticable because you will just get used to it. Let me explain. After playing operation flashpoint and some other FP style games you get used to the fluidic motions of the characters. In Morrowind the combat kinda reminds you of a much older 1995 style game where characters swing like bots and hit the oponent without really hitting him. I know it sounds kinda confusing but imagine this, when you swing your sword and lend a blow there is no satisfying smack nor there any visible damage or penetration of the opponent. You simply smack the air that is between you and your opponent and if you suceed in hitting him you will see some poor animation of what's supposed to be blood and that's about it. So that was my biggest beef with the game. Anyhow, it's worth getting, but if you haven't waited for it on the edge of whatever you been waiting on then just wait for 6 months or a little longer untill you can either pick up a used copy or get it cheaper. So while some points in this game are just plain incredible, the combat and some of the character movement very much ruin the enjoyment of it, and also forgot to add, if you are playing a mage, the graphics for spells are very well done so that's a good thing. Anyhow it's no Operation Flashpoint, but is worth getting.

I am leaving in about an hour to pick up my copy.

A poodle is a dog, curly hair, kinda small to midsize. Never saw a rat of that size though. The bigest rat I ever saw was about the size of a small guina pig.

Menchise, there is no mass graves, there is no hundreds murdered, there is no trucks hauling bodies out of Jenin. Like I said, 56 was the OFFICIAl COUNT from the Palestinins themselfs. The right hand man (don't remember his name *kinda complicated sounding*) of Yasa announced it himself. What else is there to say. So looks like Israel is not a monster that is murdering civillins, arab terrorists are. Looks like the Israel is not killing hundreds of people, arabs are. As for that Iron wall, I read the article and that's exactly what it says, Iron wall is a metaphore for Israels military power, and the article calls for dismantlement of that *wall* and for Jews to invite arabs into their country while also give them presents on the way inn. I will give you a comparison to that. US has literally no border, it's border is a joke and look at it. One time I was passing a city in CA on my vacation trip and ALL the signs in there were in Spanish, made me sick. Is this US of A or is this mexican territory. Why are people who are granted citizenship here don't even have to speak a word of english and are provided translators for the test, and why do you think 9/11 happened? If US was a country proud and distinct, with it's borders secure, it's own language and culture then it would be a country with future, right now it's not. So my point IS, Israel wants to be a country, it doesn't want to merge with arab states and become one of them and be overrun by them, not militarily, not socially. So that's why I called that article idiotic, because it calls for disimination of Israel and creation of socialist state for the whole middle east, while what will happen is a whole arab state in the middle east.

LOL, .45 for a rat? A bit of an overkill, I am surprised there was even anything to take out after that.

quote:Originally posted by Menchise: quote:If anything, the massacre at Jenin suggests that the Israeli military has a lack of value for human life. They are on a retribution spree ("they kill 1 of us, we kill 10 of them"). This is exactly what the Nazis did in the '30s and '40s. Sharon is now suspected of war crimes, which is why the government is trying to bury the issue. The issue of the suicide bombings within Israel's borders is very simple: they lack all common sense and are completely illegitimate acts of desperation. LOL! How dare you uneducated/missinformed fool. The official count from Palestinians themselfs was announced today by the right hand man of Yasa Arafat and it totalled up to 56, 6 of witch were civillians and the rest admitted by Palestinians to be terrorists. Now ANSWER THIS. And ANSWER IT instead of avoiding it. HOW MANY ISRAELI CIVILIANS DID ARABIC TERRORISTS KILL? HOW MANY? Israel government even appologized for the death of 6 civillians, while palestinians SPECIFICALLY target civillians. You DARE to compare Israeli sweep for terrorists to terrorists themselfs and terrorist activities. This is beyond ludicrous, this is just insane. I tried staying out of this thread but reading your earlier posts I just couldn't hold it anymore, especially that idiotic article you posted witch called for dismantlement of "Iron wall" (Israels military). Israel would no longer exist if that happened. I just can't believe the things you are saying. Don't even have any words left.

Go fish my little Babuschka.LOL, to you guys it just sounds funny, what's even funnier is when you actually understand those words.

Maybe that's what the game should have been called. BaM Anyhow, it's an honest review, too bad they only have so much words to review the game with because there's still so much more to be said.

Oh yeah, as for the part that says about the media advertising that it's the first time something like this is being atempted then yes, it's a ridiculous claim but what are you going to do? It's a crutch for them, you hear it about every game. Not like they are going to say, "This game *Rober Baron* (example) is just like Railroad Tycoon II only with more trains and better graphics." ofcourse not. They are going to dazzle you with the *amazing new AI*, somehow better trains, and dynamic representation of earth and everchanging economy and throw in that phrase that all this has never been atempted before. That's just smart marketing. It's how things are done, because if you say even a word of how it's like BCM or any of the game that is not more than a year or 2 old, it's free advertising for the competition.

quote:Originally posted by Hellbinder: soback, the difference here is freelancer is very similar to the Bc series. In fact its a clear attemt to imitate this game to a large degree. Where they (the previewers) go completely off the deepend is making teh claim its the fist time any of this has been done. Starlancer and the entire host of space sim games prior are all linear mission shooters. Not A free form universe Space opera like BCM. Freelancer is the first clear attempt to try a similar approach. I am not mad at freelancer, microsoft or any other game. I am mad at the Media for making absurd biased and ignorant claims.LOL, come on man, are you serious? Looks to me like you bit the hook. It's a single seater fighter game, no landing on planets (granted, you can visit planetary bases, much like in Privateer) no mining planets (you can mine asteroids just like in Terminus) no control of a huge 100+ crewmember ship, no freeform universe (the universe will be Independence war II *dynamic*), what exactly in that game is comparable to BCM?
-
Here's a quote I found at Gamespy reviewing one of the space genre games. "You'll spend the majority of your time shooting throngs of enemy ships until you get so used to it you just want to stop playing. - Giancarlo Varanini " This about sums up the point I was trying to make in the previous post.
-
BC series are a whole different space genre in itself. There is just no comparing it to Privateer, Elite, Terminus, Independence war I/II ect.... So, the point is --> don't get pissed off, and don't even try to weight one against the other. I will buy Freelancer for sure, just like I bought Independence war I/II, Terminus, Privateer, Freespace.... The thing is, sometimes you will feel like being the center of attention of the game, ploping yourself into that single pilot fighter and taking on that huge carrier with 20 fighters just like yours and suceed in destroying those fighters and carrier, that of course would be laughable in reality but sometimes you just need to feel BIG in a game. It will of course get repetitious after a while and a realization of "nothing can touch you" will set in. So then, when you feel like plunging yourself into a huge dynamic universe where there's consequences of bitint off more than you can chew, you will pop in BC (be it BCM or XP1/2) and play for a couple of hours. My point is, you need something like Freelancer, and Independence War out there to balance out the seriousness of BC. So when you feel like flexing your mind you play BC, when you feel like blasting everything you see you play other stuff, sounds fair enough. PS, as for that poor review, it doesn't sound like a personal attack, it is a personal attack. I mean what does YOUR (Dereks') "rebelion" against the publisher has to do with the game, and those 2 last paragraphs about you shouldn't even BE in the review, it's about the GAME for crying out loud, not your personal life or opinions.

Also one more thing. I know you are not getting the exact same SB card I have but go to Operation Flashpoint forums. Some people are having problems with the Audigy card you are planning to buy so that gives you an idea on SB card trends.
-
Don't recomend a SB card. Got it when I build my computer (less than 8 months) and nothing but regrets. You will need to turn down sound acceleration for most of the games you will play otherwise it will cause crashes and chopy sound. You will especially notice it in game called Etherlords, ex. -> full aceleration turned on = sound is so chopy it's useless, aceleration off = works like a charm. Lesson learned = SB cards are...... you get the picture.

Oh yea. Almoust forgot. I WILL give the items away after their TERM is up. (see, I am not greedy) 1. Jet will be given away after 20 years. 2. Porsche I will keep untill 100,000 (then I will require a new one) 3. Harley Davidson 50,000 4. House I will give away after I and my wife pass away.
