Everyone else, if you are not picked by Chavik, you are in team one OR remaining on the McKendrick. 24 hours after I make this next big post, I will create two new threads, one detailing the exploits of team one, the other detailing the exploits of team two. When both teams are in the same location at the same time, they will use the same thread. Understood? Good. Time to wrap this baby up. Go to it people.

Anyway, if someone wants to join up in the ITF thread, first thing you need to do is your homework - and that means a lot of reading. First thing you need to do is read Preemptive Strike. Then you read Joyride. Then you read Into The Fire. Once you done that, you're in a position to hop on board. However, by the time you finish reading all this material, ITF may be over. Heh. Well, it's the first and only attack I've ever been subjected to, so Im not gonna get too paranoid about it. I was actually planning on reformating that partition on the weekend anyways, but I would have appreciated having done it in my own time rather than have it forced on me. Still ... Imagine this. I just upgrade to ISDN, only to discover about three seconds after connecting for the first time that some ******* has hacked his way in and decimated my primary partition. I would imagine that from a technical standpoint, the additional processing required for every turret capable asset to track every missile object in the region (NPC's have a habit of firing many, many missiles at me) would grind it down to a halt. I could be wrong, of course, and I await a higher authority to confirm or deny this *thoery*.

*sigh* C'mon guys, lets do some thinking here. If the initial link to the forum returns a DNS failure, hit refresh a couple of times to make sure. If it finds the site, but takes forever to load up then theres a problem with the server. If all else fails, dont use the link. Manually put in the address and surf there. It's not as bad as you make out.

Sadly DSL and cable are not options for a lot of us. The expense isnt the issue, but availability is. I've finally arranged to have that extra phone line and ISDN installed at home, but that will go to the scrap heap the second either alternatives become available to me. Neh, it will do for now.

Hmm, nice box. Give it a couple of months guys, and I'll do you a deal on a full hosting package that wont drop you after a month, wont spontaniously fall down, will offer you unlimited POP accounts and a few other bells n whistles things. I wont be giving it away (Charity is for saints and millionairs) but it will be as close to cost as is humanly possible. I'll post here again when Im in a position to offer these services.

$ilk, you were never in any danger of being sacked, smeared or banned from here, the fleet or anything else unless there had been evidence to support the *suggestions* that were made. As soon as I was informed about the vandalism going on, I asked Epsilon 5 to investigate it and bring to my attention any evidence that you or anybody else on the board was responsible. I also told him to pass on a message to you and anyone else in my fleet that is using A.W and could be responsible. The message was a clear 'This is not acceptable behaviour, and anyone found to be responsible for this and/or other acts of vandalism will NOT be welcome in the fleet. I wasnt aware of any out right accusations, but there was suspicion - which was understandable from what I know. Anyhow, no harm, no foul.
