  1. Trust me on this one Sho, I had a lot of help. I didn't do it on my own. Gummy1 did most of the heavy labor on that document. I did the pretty little picture and a few words of greetings, but Andergum bore the brunt of the load. Thank him most of all! BTW, Gum, If I didn't thank you officially, I'm doing it here for all to see. Thanks Much! ------------------ Rattler, Insurgent One Spectre Fleet Spectre StarStation ICV Necromancer Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Long Live The Insurgency, Long Live Mother Earth, And Long Live Battlecruiser Developers and Fans!"
  2. My Official record shows Xavier, CSO, Sygan Starstation. Cruis. In, CEO, Sygan. I guess you got promoted/job change. Rank is still Cmdr, pay is still lousy, but Cmdr Ramspite can fill you in on what he expects from you both. Email address is a foul-up in the cut and paste. We'll fix it. Thanks for catching it. The rest of you Commanders check your info as well. We're human, we make mistakes. We made the list, you check it, Twice! ------------------ Rattler, Insurgent One Spectre Fleet Spectre StarStation ICV Necromancer Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Long Live The Insurgency, Long Live Mother Earth, And Long Live Battlecruiser Developers and Fans!" 3. Excellent Question Cmdr Locke1. Yes, the BC's of those stationed on Starbases must be left in orbit, or docked at the Starstations above you. You still have full control of those BC's and supporting craft though. Use them wisely. You might need to call in a strike from above should you be over-run by Galcommies! It will be a completely different matter when BCM comes out though. I believe that we are supposed to be able to take our Battlecruisers down to the planet's surface in BCM. If this bears fruit, then you can park them down there and keep them close. Your role, and every Starbase Cmdr's role is to support the Starstation above you in the Org. Chart. Yours would just happen to be Sygan at the time. In the release of BCM, you will provide support to Alpha Prime in a Strike Ops scenario. See why you'll need full control of your Battlecruisers? Hope I answered well enough. ------------------ Rattler, Insurgent One Spectre Fleet Spectre StarStation ICV Necromancer Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Long Live The Insurgency, Long Live Mother Earth, And Long Live Battlecruiser Developers and Fans!"
  4. Gentlemen, As a favor to the SC, I'm reviewing what he had as of 2 hours ago. I think you all, save EarthCom, missed a very important aspect of this layout. You were authorized to grab real coordinates for real assets in the game. If you have a base in the game that is not a real asset, then find one on the surface somewhere that fits your caste. Heck, you can have whole MZ's for your bases. All you have to do is list your old base name and give the MZ coordinates/designation for that MZ you now want that base to be. Example; SC didn't recognize "Motley's Fools but he sure does recognize MZ 135! Catch my drift here? If you miss this fact and don't get your dibs in by the deadline, you'll have missed a golden opportunity. 5. Ok Insurgents, I've just put up the Insurgent Command Structure on another thread. I've opened this one up for you to come and "Jaw" on if you like. I'll try to answer any questions that you have here, along with handing out my usual ration to those that deserve it! Use this one for general Insurgent banter, but keep it clean. This one's for the Troops! ------------------ Rattler, Insurgent One Spectre Fleet Spectre StarStation ICV Necromancer Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Long Live The Insurgency, Long Live Mother Earth, And Long Live Battlecruiser Developers and Fans!"
  6. All right Insurgents, Haul your lazy posteriors back up to the first message that I posted in this thread. Read it again very carefully this time. It's the last one! It should completely inform all Insurgents of the things that are, and the things to come! Now get moving Insurgents, Daylight's Burning! Now quit posting to this thread! Find another one to jaw on! ------------------ Rattler, Insurgent One Spectre Fleet Spectre StarStation ICV Necromancer Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Long Live The Insurgency, Long Live Mother Earth, And Long Live Battlecruiser Developers and Fans!" 7. Permission granted Commander Miyamoto! And I just finished that roster too, or I thought! No problem. It's ammendable! Welcome aboard. 8. Welcome Aboard, Commanders Thomas and Starman! I'm in the middle of some major re-vamping of the Structure of the Insurgency. Please bear with me for just a little while. I will be assigning you both, and all those that have not answered prior to a station/base as I get the time. For now, consider yourselves assigned to Spectre Starstation. I'll have further news as it becomes available. Again, Welcome Aboard and Thanks for Joining! ------------------ Rattler, Insurgent One Spectre Fleet Spectre StarStation ICV Necromancer Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Long Live The Insurgency, Long Live Mother Earth, And Long Live Battlecruiser Developers and Fans!"
  9. Gentlemen of the Insurgency, If this Merc wants to Join us, He will! If he decides otherwise, It's his choice. We will NOT recruit this one. He's one who travels the roads alone, making his own decisions based upon Karma. If it's his Karma to be an Insurgent, He'll let us know. If not, He'll hide! The doors open. Whether he steps inside or not will be his choice. ------------------ Rattler, Insurgent One Spectre Fleet Spectre StarStation ICV Necromancer Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Long Live The Insurgency, Long Live Mother Earth, And Long Live Battlecruiser Developers and Fans!" 11. Ok, so I Lied! Here's another piece of information that should be near and dear to every Insurgent's heart! Insurgents, I invite your attention to http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Station/5552/InComStaff.jpg Here you will find where you belong as of this minute. I've been forced to move some of you to critical positions. If any of you know an Insurgent that is not on this list, Order him to report to me ASAP! We've still got some holes to fill! From there we will work on assigning more commanders to each facility to augment it's compliment. Thanks for your continued support! ------------------ Rattler, Insurgent One Spectre Fleet Spectre StarStation ICV Necromancer Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Long Live The Insurgency, Long Live Mother Earth, And Long Live Battlecruiser Developers and Fans!"

  13. 'Tis a problem that has a long history. Even here on the BC3K site. It's common courtesy for a Fleet Commander to contact another Fleet Commander to deal with this kind of problem. Rule in the past has always been "First Named, First Taken. That's Officially Named. Who posted with that Ship's Name here? That's the only identifying measure that's available to us at this time. "Unlce Rattler" will now don his striped shirt and prepare bo be impartial referee! Give me the names of the two contestants and, if you want, I'll research who used it first. That's what they pay me big bucks (Just kidding Derek) for doing in instances like this. The answer to your other question is YES. Commanders should try and pick out a name for their Ship that is unique unto themselves. I'd be P.O.'d if I found another Necromancer on the server when I went up there. Then you Galcommies wouldn't know just who kicked your butts back to Mars! Can't have that, can we? ------------------ Rattler, Insurgent One Spectre Fleet Spectre StarStation ICV Necromancer Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Long Live The Insurgency, Long Live Mother Earth, And Long Live Battlecruiser Developers and Fans!"

  15. Insurgents, go back and check out the first post in this thread Again. This will be the final version of it unless Derek wants something different in the way of organization, etc;. No further discussions needed on this thread. 16. As I sit here and ponder where to move out bases, I'm remembering just how much Derek conceded by alowing us to even have bases, if only by name in this great game. I've come to the conclusion that the Insurgency will, with the exception of taking Sygan (which already was an Insurgent Starstation), keep it's end of the bargain and only have 4 bases that we will lay permanent title to. If I read the above posts correctly, I may use MZ's as bases. Is this correct? Realizing that we will not be able to launch from MZ's is the key here. I'm thinking of "Pride of Ownership" here. Every Starstation and Starbase Commander that I have deserves a piece of realestate that he can claim as his baby. He might not be able to dock with it, but he sure as !$!!$@$ can defend it! That's Pride In Ownership. Every Battlecruiser Commander assigned to those Bases and Stations now have an additional responsibility to not only kick some Galcommie Tail in the stars, but keep their homes safe as well. It'll add a new wrinkle to the game I think. Just my thoughts, but I've got to believe that I'm not alone here! Ok, I've considered the options, looked at the Zones, and made my decisions based upon strengths and weaknesses. Check the Command Structure Thread in a couple of hours Insurgents! By the way, Insurgent Facilities Managers, Stand Ready to put up a Webpage for your new commands. It's part of the deal to keep your bases. If you do not have a website, I'll provide the space. I've got some room. 18. Yes, it's been that long Gentlemen. Now on to the meat of the subject. I'm leaving your posts here because they bear credence to how we got our stations and bases, even if we can't find that thread now. I think I'm correct in saying that, in the beginning, all recognized Fleets were given One Starstation and Four Starbases. Now following Derek's example and chosing the locations from the above post, I'm going to move Sanctuary Storage Facility to Starbase 6 location Sygan, 11916N, 7005W. I'll make the other locations known as I find them and correct the Command Structure Chart when we have them all identified. ------------------ Rattler, Insurgent One Spectre Fleet Spectre StarStation ICV Necromancer Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Long Live The Insurgency, Long Live Mother Earth, And Long Live Battlecruiser Developers and Fans!"
  19. Why, Yes there is! Try giving it a patrol command if you want it to stay somewhat safe while you are away. It'll patroll the sector, pausing at each jump gate, then proceeding to the next. Another method is to put it on AI and issue a Hold Command. It'll wait right there for your return. Might be battered a bit from not being able to maneuver and fight off any evil entities, but if it's still in one piece it'll still be right where you left it. Hope this helps. ------------------ Rattler, Insurgent One Spectre Fleet Spectre StarStation ICV Necromancer Official BC3K Tester [email protected] ICQ 12894104 "Long Live The Insurgency, Long Live Mother Earth, And Long Live Battlecruiser Developers and Fans!"

  21. Since you are inclined to point out your thread in New Commander's Forum, I invite you to read my response to said thread. I still haven't seen authorization from the SC for you to start this "Raider Clan!" 22. Insurgents, The chart's changed for the final time I hope. The entire line-up of Starstations and Starbases are charted, registered, and boxed for your entertainment. Bottom line is: The complete Insurgent Command Structure can be found at http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Station/5552/InsFleet.htm Additionally, there is a link on that htm to download the .zip file of the entire thing for better reading and printing if you so desire. We will periodically update it to show newly gained personnel and transfers within the Insurgency. By the way, do not be discouraged if you do not see the Command Staff layout completely load. Resourcefull Commanders will find the key. "That is all! 23. Insurgents, In keeping with the context of this thread, I take great pleasure in announcing that Commander Shohashi has been selected by Cmdr Akira as his new CSO on New Frontier. Cmdr Shohashi has accepted this prestegious position and is making preparations for getting underway. God Speed, Shohashi! 24. [RP] M Inent had entered the jump point and, upon exiting that monster, had executed a hard turning maneuver designed to place him directly above and behind the jump gate. Its results were always the same. D Iminents bridge had a ringside view of the carnage that was happening inside the system. With horror he watched as the Gammulan Armada began to disintegrate with an expanding epicenter. First, a ships cloaking system would fail. He could then readily see the debris impacting his ships armor and hulls. The onslaught continued until the armor was penetrated, exposing their weak and failing hulls. Still the carnage continued. Fragments pierced their ship hulls, exposing its proud warriors to the cold and empty heart of space. The carnage was unmerciful. M Inent thought, to himself, Can a scream he actually heard if there is no air to act as a medium? Can blood remain red without Oxygen in the red blood cells? He pondered his situation now. 2/3 of his armada was dead or dying. Those that were crippled were merely target practice for the jackals that circled the battle, diving in to nip at them and then retreating to a safe distance. One by one his wounded comrades died to these tactics. Finally, One Object gained his full attention. The Starstation! It was what they had come after. It was the key to this sector. D Iminents engines burned as she streaked across the sector, her primary target was getting closer. She became vulnerable, for only a brief second as the jump anomaly formed, and then again as she exited from her hyper-jump. Cloak now restored, and undetected, she again burned toward Wraith! M Inent stood rigid as he issued orders on his bridge. With cold and calculated measures, he attacked the Starstation. Her shields were down to 30% and armor beginning to fail in all areas. D Iminents shields were weakened to 70% but her armor and hull were holding steady at 80%. M Inent could have taken this Starstation, claiming it as a prize of war. He could have made this his home in a sector that would have born his name..He had other thoughts though. He remembered his first encounter with this enemy. He now remembered the carnage that he had just witnessed. He remembered the screams of his warriors, the ones that he should have heard, could they have been heard in the emptiness of space. Again anger clouded his judgement. Within the time of less than a heartbeat, he made his decision and issued his orders. D Iminent again pounded the hull and armor of the Starstation. Outwardly, vocally so that all of his crew could hear, he screamed to Wraith Starstation. Humans, Today YOU Die! [/RP] [This message has been edited by Rattler (edited 02-27-2000).]
