  2. Which part of rubbish was unclear? Was it the rub or the bish? I suppose the fact that I quoted the entire excerpt wasn't a clue that I found the entire thing to be rubbish?
  3. quote: Originally posted by UnderLord: i bet SC is hating you right now. LOL. Why? It works as designed and just because you can't get the AI to improve when YOU want it to, is meaningless. If he doesn't know the meaning of the term AI, then he needs to look it up. Like I said (if I have to say it one more time, I'm going to ban someone), that code has not changed since the original BC3K was developed; so I know for a fact that it works exactly as it should.
  4. Earlier this week, some fool created a new thread (which was promptly deleted) about Uwe Boll being the director of Halo. This is not - as I suspected - the case
  5. I thought the products info page was pretty clear on this. You might want to read it again as I see no point in repeating it.
  6. After reading this and this, I'm going to be building a mythTV box this weekend. I've had it with the constant shape shifting that Tivo is doing. [ 09-20-2005, 09:23 AM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]

There may be other conditions under which the AI will launch their reserve missiles, but this seems to be one trigger for it. Rubbish

  9. Did you actually see them destroy ANY ground targets during that strike sortie? Probably not.
  10. ....and have you bothered sending up against ground targets?
  11. I Tivo'ed all new series premieres and this was the first one I watched yesterday afternoon. It was really good. The premiere was 2hrs and setup the premise quite nicely. If they stick with it, I think we've got ourselves a worthy X-Files replacement. 10/10
  12. Anyone who thinks this is a remake of Ghost, would be so wrong, its not even funny. This movie is better. Worlds better. I haven't seen this kind of touchy, feely, non-cheesy movie in a long, long time. It was so good, that I'm going to go see it again with the missus. Highly, highly recommended date movie. 10/10 [ 09-18-2005, 03:47 PM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]
  13. I like stupid popcorn movies like Final Destination, Scary Movie etc and went to see this. It was exactly as I expected, though the ending is sure to have some people going wtf?!?!? It was surprisingly good; in a guilty kinda way. 8/10
  14. er, did we see the same movie?
  15. Holy sh*t!!! Thats wicked. I'm gonna go try it.
  16. quote: Originally posted by sainta117: I'm starting to suspect a... well... a-- bug. You must be nuts. That code hasn't changed since the original BC3K was released. You either accept the explanation or you don't. Either way, it makes no difference to me whatsoever.
  17. Rubbish Next!! 4/10
  18. I have uploaded it to the site. This is only compatible with UCAWA.
  19. Its not a random number counter that just gets increased you know. There are no less than 700+ AI calculations involved in the decision which determines when those stats are modified.
  20. quote: Originally posted by sainta117: I've noticed that when my fighter craft are loaded with missiles, they only seem to want to use the first five weapons in the racks. After that, they just fly around with 5 extra missiles hanging under the wings. Once in a great while, somebody will use an extra couple, but I would estimate that that happens less than 1% of the time. Loading them with fewer missiles doesn't seem to resolve it, nor does reordering them to attack their target. Since they can deploy those reserve munitions, and do so on occasion, and because I haven't seen any other mention of this on the forums, I'm thinking that there must be some order I'm giving or not giving that's causing it. I understand if they're trying to save me money by using guns whenever possible, but it tends to lead to long, circling dogfights (not necessarily a bad thing, but still a bit confusing) Also, it seems a bit bizarre that they make superhuman efforts to kill bogeys using their guns, while 5 unused sts missiles hang in the racks. Could this be linked to DF or BA skill? My experience suggests that it doesn't seem to be connected to AI level. Does anyone have any experience with this, or know what I'm doing wrong? This has already been extensively discussed. Search for missiles or something similar. The ability to use missiles is dependent on the AI and BA of the pilot. Just because they have missiles, doesn't mean they will use them. Especially since they are most likely to get jammed. The higher the AI, the less likely they are to use missiles in an engagement; so as not to waste them. quote: Originally posted by Darkling: I have a feeling that they assign 2 or 3 targets while in a Jump, so as soon as they exit the Jump, they come out blasting with the Missiles. No, they don't do that. They only fire if/when they have a valid lock. Just like you.
  21. That large Green reticle was removed because I found it to be too goofy. Saturn having no rings is a different story. You might want to create a topic in the tech support area so that we can check it out.
  22. Of course I don't mind. But this should be in the modding section. Moved. The bitmap is wicked btw!! The only problem you will find is that the topology height map won't match. It won't matter, since there is no water on Mars; but if this were a map that had such elevation variants, you would click on a water mass (in Tacops) but then find that you're actually viewing land when you zoom to the ground level. Thats why certain maps (pte3ptemap*.pte) have special global height maps (pte3ptemap*.ghm)
  23. It is also on the main sales page
  24. Did you buy it already? Did everything go ok? Let me know when you've downloaded it and everything. The order email should have your CD-KEY etc. That version is 1.00.04 (thats how long they've had it). So you need to use the in game updater to patch to 1.00.06 released earlier today.
