Universal Combat Special Edition, due out in Feb/March 2007 or thereabouts, will be the last title in the series. It will basically be like a UCAWA Gold (which I don't plan on doing) but with lots of bits. My focus going forward is on UCO (2006), KnightBlade (2007) and BCNG (2008). What you're asking about is already in the design for UCO since you basically start from scratch and progress along a career path.

A few minutes ago, I re-issued this patch in order to fix an issue with IA0113. In the latest version which I just uploaded, the scenario itself has been corrected. I didn't do this in my first update of this morning. The procedure for re-downloading this patch via the Updater is in the VCF (see first post in this thread).

I have sorted it out. Read the revised 1.00.03 section of the VCF

I think he was speaking figuratively. Give him a break.

Found it. The INI file for the officer_m model used in that scenario is not being loaded. Will have an updated INI version in a bit.

There are lots - LOTS - of movies which are highly entertaining without excess gore, nudity and such. This is the decay of the American society; and I for one, plan on moving to China as soon as I can find my passport.

That entry - obviously - is for UC. Have you seen any animals or solid trees in UCAWA? Or any such CONFIG option? It will be updated in the next patch.

Vegetation does not reduce vision. It restricts line of sight. Big difference.

All it takes is a line of sight between a blade of grass. quote: Turning it completely off is suggested in the VCF,Rubbish. No such entry is in the VCF nor the FAQ or CONFIG files for the game. quote: The terrain system is more of a problem than a benefit currently. Rubbish. There is a difference between the terrain system and the vegetation system. Know the difference before posting about either. And if - to you - it is a problem, nobody asked you to go down there. Stay in space.

LOL!!! Good one that.

Public Preview Demo 3 Released!

Those were created for the base capture feature which never made it into the final version of the game. I plan on implementing that at some point if I have time. -

Thats the tradition of my ACM scripting; you don't always get additional EPs just because you happen to be doing your job. If the scenario ends and you're not dead - or haven't been notified that you've failed or lost EPs - then you're ahead. btw, the EFP career is more fun than the CMDR (whcih is too easy I think). -
I'll see about adding the mirrors to the game's downloads page when I wake up tomorrow.

Looks like the links from 08-03 were mostly incorrect. I have now updated them. -

Absolutely. And in fact, we have Andrew to thank for the newer and even more stricter codes in homes that were repaired or built after he hit. -
Saw this yesterday and I can easily see why its made so much money at the box office. Its hilarious - if you have a sense of humor worth talking about. Loved the pacing and everything. There were no dull or drawn out moments that I could detect. 9/10

A bit short, but I liked it all in all. The suspense and acting were OK. Its a tad short I thought and the end looks like a sequel may be in the works if this one does well. 8/10

I'm with Scriv on this. I though it was 30 mins too long. At 2:15 is a snore. 4/10

Campaign Discussions - SPOILERS!!

Shields and cloak are not weapons, are they? Nope, they're not. Never have been. As always, I designed and scripted all the scenarios. But I didn't think that even vets would be stumped at some point. If that first scenario is a head scratcher; God, I can't imagine how anyone would survive the others. -
I thought you started the discussion questioning the code written by the Freespace developers. Stick to that [pointless] argument if you will, since thats what I was debunking. Any programmer worth his/her salt can write C code that is as efficient as C++ OO code without ever knowing - nor understanding OO.
