I have never been into overblown and glitzy websites. I like the current minimalist websites just fine. It has information. It has shots. That's all thats needed really We're looking for a Q4/11 release with a view to doing a closed Beta sometime around the end of Q3/11. We're not competing with Planetside Next because my guess is that they're not going to mess with the formula. In fact, one would think that we're competing with the likes of Firefall or even Tribes Ascend; but again, they're different types of "run and gun" games. That's not the game that I'm building.

GCO is my last game. I currently have no plans to develop any single player game. At least not something along the lines of my previous games. I am looking at doing a space/planetary game for Android and iOS though; and I expect to have more information about that later in the year.

So this has been launched in Europe. Anyone try it out yet?

The demo requires no key whatsover. For official links, download it from the game's official website.

All Aspect Warfare / Angle Of Attack V1.00.39
Supreme Cmdr replied to Supreme Cmdr's topic in Patch News
I was out of town at GDC. I will be looking to getting this sorted out this week. -
I've taken it. Several times over the years in fact. Unless you're into that sort of thing, it's not fun.
-
So anyone managed to check it out yet?

Looks like Jumpgate Evolution is dead.

I'm going to ping Valve again today about updating the Steam version.
-
Thats pretty impressive!
-
Yah, that is the new logo. It was time for a change.

son of a... i totally misinterpreted what i read, i got so excited thinking you could, lol. yah, in UC games you can see and track personnel moving through the ship via the PERSCAN system; but that's it.

We're revamped the site to a new Wordpress theme. Go check it out. Then check out this blast from the past!

There is no walking around inside cap ships in any of our games. The first person engine in AAW is by far more superior to the UC games. The fps issue in UC has nothing to do with anything other than the AI of the personnel.
-
LOL!! Thanks for your support. I think probably the updated graphics engine in the latest version resolves that issue in the older version.
-
If you want the most recent game in the UC series, look at Universal Combat CE or Universal Combat CE v2.0. Depending on your computer and whether or not you care about multiplayer, you should probably get v2.0. You can find more information about all these games over at the game's page. Note that the main site is undergoing some revisions atm, so some links maybe missing etc. You can of course try the freeware version of the original UC which was released in 2004.

Beta sign-ups will start sometime in Q3/2011. If you are on Facebook and/or Twitter, you stand a better chance of getting in on it if you follow (and like the FB page) the game on Twitter.

I stopped working on that AAW dlc because, as I stated, I simply didn't have enough time to devote to it. Plus, I was already mulling the idea of just starting from scratch. That idea became Line Of Defense. I have no plans to update the UCCE engines to the AAW engine. It is a fair amount of work, and as before, sadly I just don't have the time. So, UCCE 2.0 (which uses the GCES-SE engine) is the end of the line for that series. Of course GCO is going to be as true to UC as possible and that one is next in line after LOD (which is a smaller than GCO).
-
GCO is more like UCCE since it is a much larger and far more complex game. LOD is more like AAW but smaller, tighter paced and with none of the high-end complexity.

The evolution of MMO sci-fi warfare is here. You can read the press release over here and then check out the game's website for more info.

You can check out the game's new forum.

I moved this topic out of the tech support forum because it is a very old and unsupported title. Issues related to text not appearing in that version of the game, are related to AA issues. You need to turn that off in your video driver's control panel because no such settings exist for this early version of the game because we did not implement AA in that graphics engine. Anyway, try running it in compatibility mode and see if it works, but basically this is a 2004 game and no guaranteed to work on Win7. If you want to run this game series in Win7, then you should consider buying either Universal Combat CE or Universal Combat CE v2.0

You can read more about this on my latest blog.

Collectors Edition v2.0 Trial version
Supreme Cmdr replied to PhoenixZ's topic in Battlecruiser / Universal Combat (Legacy)
There are no trial versions for the game; so I have no idea what PC World is actually distribution. But thanks for the headsup; we'll look into it. -
Yes. As long as you use the correct GBS build. e.g. UCCE uses GBSIV which it comes with. It won't work with UCCE v2.0 because some files changed between the two games.
