hehe, yeah, I was wondering about that question too Anyway, I dunno, the game looks a bit cheezy to me. Something's not quite right with it; but I can't put my finger on it.

Look, I've said it before, I don't have time for this crap you and Zane have got going. He seems to have taken the high road, while you're panting around sulking. I mean, c'mon, this is STUPID. And no, I'm not missing anything. I've got ALL the facts from several people already and this is just plain ridiculous. Look, if you want to excuse yourself from Prime, do it and be DONE with it; safe in the thought that Zane, and pretty much everyone else, will still be here. I mean, c'mon, this is getting more and more ridiculous by the day and you're only making yourself look bad. With all the contributions you've made, I mean why this crap all of a sudden? quote: Originally posted by Remo Williams: quote:I thank you very much for coming in and giving me all the answers to my questions remo. It is good to hear that we haven't lost you in all the mess that has been going on between you and this community (myself included ). LOL! Ok no problem Reed, BTW I have no problem with this community just a few of the new members in it, two to be exact. Most if not all of the vets here are my friends have been for years long before you even had an inkling that this community existed so no my problem isn't with this community. Oh yeah. Right. So, with ALL that, you'd rather screw up what you've created because of TWO people? Gimme a break. How does that make ANY sense whatsover? What if I were to shut down ALL the servers, kill the fleet dB because I'm sick of this crap? I'd be doing that because I'm sick and tired of this crap with you and Zane (who doesn't seem to be saying ANYTHING about it - while you go on and on and on at EVERY opportunity); who would that hurt the most? The majority; thats who. Be sensible. I dunno, but maybe I should schedule a military tribunal or something. [ 09-13-2004, 12:36 PM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ] -

And you need to enter your driver info as well. And while you're at it, three gig is not the correct processor speed. Try 3Ghz. Figuring out how to write the memory amount, is left for you as an excercise. With all the noise you consistently make on the board, one would think that you'd actually know what kind of rig you're running - especially the video card.

Quite frankly, I've lost track of - and interest - as to what the issue is. Thats what happens when eight pages later, the thread devolves to rubbish. OK, let's see here... Q: What happens if the NR runs out of Radine or is intentionally shutdown?

And exactly which part of the plain English text in the above, did you not understand? Why not read BOTH excerpts again, SLOWLY this time? If you can't understand that, good luck trying to figure out the solar reactor. No wonder that, even though its in the manual, most of you guys are still playing silly guessing games. quote: Originally posted by Kenworthy: I think thats more of a graphical anommoylie than some weird indicator. heh, yep. Yes and No. If you can gain enough EPs to increase in rank, you can gain Fleet C&C. So, since raiders don't have a military structure, you can't get fleet C&C unless the scenario script explicitly sets it.

Ah yes, this should be good for another 5+ pages or so. But I must say that the last batch of four posts are a LOT closer to the truth than previously imagined. ...no, I'm NOT going to say who is closer to the truth.

If you read the manual - or the tutorial - you will see why there is no afterburner key in the game. Its not needed.

For some reason i cant control my vehicles with my saitek cyborg rumble pad, but in BMCG i can with no problems. 3. how do u put in your system profiles in your sig? If its not in the manual or in the manual addendum, you can't do it. Dunno about that, but UC uses DirectInput, just like BCM Gold, so might need to calibrate your stick or something. You got it almost right; but I fixed it for you. You get 5 points for effort
-
BCM Gold (released March 2003) is also out on sale (if you can find it), that should work just fine on your machine. Its the game that was released before UC.

OMG!! This was wicked!! Now this is how mindless and fun video game movie should be made. Not a single dull moment. Gonna go see it again soon. Dunno why they didn't release this during the Summer bum rush, it sure would have held its own. Its a lot more rewarding that AvP. Oh yeah, Oded Fehr is in it!! 10/10

There's nothing to tell. Thats why I wrote a manual.

Your video card is not adequate to run the game because I don't think that Intel on-board video chips has a vertex shader. You might want to check with Intel or Gateway by browsing their websites. Also, in the memory section, you added the info for your hard drive. Thats wrong. Find out what your memory is and change that info. The info for your Intel on-board video card is probably wrong too, since the 5.1 has nothing to do with video cards, its for sound cards.

OK, you guys have ruined the thread. Now you will never have an answer - at least not from me. EDIT: Any more off-topic posts and the thread will be locked for good this time. [ 09-11-2004, 09:22 AM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]

The history of Duke Nukem Forever
Supreme Cmdr replied to Supreme Cmdr's topic in PC Gaming & Technology
From the old info, to the new. And now, once again, The Duke has now switched to the DOOM3 engine. Looking like a 2010 release now. EDIT: Ok, they say its bullsh*t [ 09-10-2004, 09:28 AM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ] -
If you capture a region, the first thing you need to do is launch ships from the station (depending on if you have the rank to do it) and give them the order to defend the station, patrol the region etc. Otherwise, anytime a friendly or neutral gets destroyed in your region or the one in which you have a station, you will lose EPs. Its in the EP.HTML appendix file.

will i lose my save game if i download patches?

So, if you have been keeping up to date with the patches or are just now patching, you should be fine. Please don't mislead the n00bs. If a patch is going to delete saved games (due to incompatibility issues), it will be clearly stated - in Red - in the VCF. -
LMAO!!!
