If its not a tech support issue, it doesn't belong in the tech support forum. Now, how hard can that possibly be?

uhm, if you give them the escort order, they will follow you. Thats that escort means.

heh, the manual was written so that you can read it instead of CLUTTERING my boards. Look, I know you are - and others - are new around here. But as a common courtesy, you really should spend some time here BEFORE posting. This way, you don't go against our rules around here. I LIKE these boards nice and clear. Everyone who has been around here, do. Our general rule is that we HIGHLY value quality over quantity. Numerous nonsensical posts are just that, nonsense that causes clutter. So, they get deleted. Anal? Yes. But you don't have to like it.

Read the manual. It is documented in there. The fact that you're asking those questions, leads me to believe that you either didn't read it or you didn't understand it. So, which is it? And did you read paragraph 2, line 3 of section 6.1?

Now tell me which of the three game related questions above, is not covered in the manual. This behavior - and comments like that - are NOT tolerated around here. I put a LOT of work into that manual so that people actually READ it. I'll be waiting.

Just like it says in the manual, NPC ships (which your craft will become if you give it an order via the autopilot), do not use fluxfields. You have to do the jump manually. quote: Originally posted by Sierra Hotel: Is it common for your ship to remain in the same region? If you actually read the "Jump Anomalies" PDF file linked to in the DOCS section of the programs group where the game is installed, you'd know the answer. If you can tell us exactly how to modify the entry, then we can be sure it works the next version. You can even modify that entry in your own installation of Xfire, then restart Xfire, and see if it works. Sorry about the mistake, Chris I will be passing along the info you posted, to them now. Thanks! -

You can't. Its automatic. As long as you have Nutripaks on board, they will use it as needed. Read the manual. No clue. Check your graphics card drivers. No. No. Check your graphics card drivers.

Check the reg page. The online VCF has also been updated.

Note. Those of you who have been running the game on UNSUPPORTED video cards (e.g. on GF4 MX boards because nVidia is faking shaders in earlier drivers), will find that in the v2.00.00 and up, you won't be able to play the game on the planet due to the revisions to the shader path. I only mention this because of a PM session between Shingen and I.

quote: Originally posted by TSCavalier: I did a search for info about Intruders and found this thread. In my current game in UC (retail 2.0, not demo, but this would apply to demo changes, too), I was boarded by about 20 intruders. I followed all the prescribed techniques for eliminating them (prepping marines, turning off launch control, etc.) but I've still lost about half of my marines, and there are still intruders on board (hiding out in the shuttles and fighters trying to escape). Just curious, but have any of the issues/suggestions regarding boarding been addressed in UC from BCM (note, not saying it's a problem, just asking if anything specific is different between BCM... which I never played... and UC)? Thanks! I don't know where you were searching, but I came up with five hits for "intruder" in the subject. This is one of them. So I have deleted your post from the demo forum where you posted it and moved it here. You can thank me later

Docking ships with tractor beam
Supreme Cmdr replied to Zhdophanti's topic in Universal Combat Series
quote: Originally posted by Zhdophanti: I have tried to get a disabled fighter on my command ship with tractor beam. First time i used the tractor beam everything worked fine. I was asked if i want to dock the ship. I pressed Y but then i had fighter bays without power. So i thought no problem ... i powered up my fighter bays and tried to do it again, no chance .. i never got this question again. What can i do else to dock a fighter to my ship??? You don't have any manual control over the power allocation for fighter bays. So I have no clue what you're talking about. If you have power to launch control turned off and the tractor fails, going back to Logistix and turning the power back on, and the trying then going back and attempting tractoring it again beam, works fine. I just tried it.
