Is this with a new game? And I don't even understand the steps you are showing above. The decks only show what you have installed. I have checked it and everything looks perfectly fine in the decks and in Tradcom.

OK, v2.00.02 RC1 is now on the reg page. Read the link above first!!! -
OK, the 2.00.02 RC1 patch is on the reg page now. All public MP servers should be updated in the next 10-15 mins. There is still a graphical problem with the tractor beam, which I am looking into. e.g. when you tractor someone and jump into hyperspace, to them, they don't appear to have moved. Also, depending on your frame rate, the tractor may not work the first time you try it.

Just stare at PERSCAN and hope that your AE's mad kombat skillz paid off?

3000AD Official UC Multiplayer Servers

Thanks!! Well then, you should be over here. Anyway, mp still has some quirks (yesterday, I was actually shocked to find that towing, which used to work before, was broken as a result of the new client/server architecture) which I am working to resolve atm. I only released this patch because the game has been selling pretty well and I didn't want to starve the single player gamers for too long. Because this is such a major patch, all tweaks, fixes etc for mp will be made available via smaller patches (e.g. 2.00.01) via the reg page, until the final official 2.01.00 patch is released. -

Yeah, thats what I expected. In fact, I noticed yesterday on the mp servers, that the current target info in the VDD is also blank for some reason. I think that packet info is not being sent. Anyway, its in the VCF. quote: Damn good patch though...I can't seem to quit playing! heh, given time, this is close to how the game should have been originally released. Oh well, at least I didn't abandon it, like most devs/pubs would - and it still cost me a ton of money and resources to develop this patch. Even had to purchase a license to use the Bionatics natFX trees etc. Played any of the new IA scenarios yet? -

Nope. You need to buy a new copy. You should keep your property safe at all times.

They all had strike orders, but none had targets. Also they wouldn't engage my fighters at all. Just sat there and went boom! One Aestrom went boom and the shuttle it launched didn't move or select a RTB destination. It died. Sent my shuttle to pickup about 4 cargopods, but all were empty. Read the VCF, but didn't see any mention of any of the above. Any reason the server keeps disconnecting?? I changed their rules in mp and I didn't have time to actually see how they performed with the new rules. I will look into this at some point but for now, they're just fodder. I DO know that they will engage, as evident in last afternoon's session (before you came on). Cargo pods aren't supposed to be created in mp. They only happened to be created because you destroyed an NPC. I will see if I can get them to contain items as they do in sp. Hence the reason have AG turned on at the server, is an option and not an actually supported feature. I only put that in for folks who wanted to play co-op etc. quote: Originally posted by M.W.G: Thought up for discussion: Chatscreen: During the game it seemed as if all special movement ( hyperdrive and zone changing ) were displayed from all players visible to all ( or did I misinterpret this?) Hyperdrive actions themselves are no big deal but mp zone transitions seemed to give away any fleet actions. Player List: When viewing the playerlist it is also stated in what mp the player is in. Is this real-time live information or a last known position? Same point at the chat screen concerning ?classified? fleet information. Per team -> no problem. If all can see it sure takes out the element of surprise. Looking forward to the next meetings! SC, good luck with the mp issues. I?m still enjoying the massive improvements from the latest patch! The hyperdrive, zone changes etc, are sent by the server and don't affect anything AFAIK. Its not like you can hide forever. The SHIFT+ESC client list just lists players, where they are etc. I have no plans to change it, other than to add more info such as asset, rank, EPs etc. And speaking of chat, a bunch of people were asking yesterday on the server, how to scroll the chat message log. This information is in the UC_MANUAL_REVISIONS file as well as the VCF. Here is an excerpt. quote: The following keys are used to navigate the chat log window when open. In order to use these keys, the chat window (ESC) must be open. But instead of typing a chat message, just use the keys to scroll the chat message window. Not sure if its clear or not, but basically in order to scroll the list, the chat window should be open (as if you want to type in a message). Unless that window is open, the keys will not work because they are out of scope and do other things. e.g. in Tacops, if you use UP/DOWN with the message log open and the chat window closed, you will pan the view since Tacops uses those keys. So, you have to press ESC to open the chat window, then use the UP/DOWN keys to scroll the chat message log. -
Anyone try the new IA scenarios yet?

Had a blast on SERVER4 this afternoon. Cheers to all who showed up. Found a few issues (check VCF) and will be fixing them this weekend. -
quote: Originally posted by eyequeue: Hmmmm, I've uninstalled Clone CD and still have the issue. I've now since uninstalled Norton and still have the issue. I can't figure this one out. Then you must have some remnants of CloneCD still on your system. And you don't need to uninstall Norton because even though AV programs don't trigger this issue in SafeDisc, you should just make sure that you have them turned off e.g. AutoProtect should be off. In the meantime, I have uploaded non-SafeDisc versions to the registration page. But the next full 2.00.01 patch will have SafeDisc enabled, so you still need to find and fix this issue on your end.

The servers are now running 2.00.01. There is an mp only update available via the registration login page. Hopefully this fixes the time synch (see VCF) problem which causes the display to stop being updated (this to you, comes as a major fps drop) frequently, resulting in your using CTRL+ALT+DEL as the only option to quit and re-join the server. Will be working over the weekend to resolve this and other time synch issues (mostly on the planet) for a minor mp only release later. -

v0.12 released today has UC support -
The ucmp.exe executable is not SafeDisc protected. The uc.exe one is. So, go over to the relevant thread and read how to solve that.

I have today released this massive patch to the public. There are still a few problems (e.g. planetary ops) in multiplayer, but I didn't want to keep depriving those who aren't big fans of multiplayer, of this patch update. Yeah, the version number is larger because, by an large, this patch is a pretty big generation step from the 1.0x kernel used in the retail build. While waiting for the mirrors to be updated, you can start scanning the Version Control File to see all the new items. WARNING: This patch is going to take longer to apply because it will be converting a bunch of files to a newer format. So make sure that you have at least an additional 100MB available on the drive where the game is installed. And whatever you do, do NOT interrupt this patch until you get the completion dialog. If you bork this patch, you will have NO choice but to uninstall the game, re-install from the retail CD-ROM and re-apply it. EDIT: The password for the public servers - open only to registered users - is now available via the registration page. EDIT: Here is the MD5 hash for this patch. You can use a program such as WinMD5 to compare this hash against the file you downloaded. download the patch and copy it into the game install folder. right-click on the MD5 hash file above and use Save-As to download it into the game install folder. Run winMD5 (or similar program) Go to File/Open MD5 file and load the patch MD5 file you downloaded above. Go to File/Open File and load the patch file you downloaded above. If winMD5 reports the status as good, then your patch downloaded correctly and can be used to patch the game. [ 07-09-2004, 03:32 PM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]

I have released 1.01.06 patch which can be applied on top of the latest version. You can view the VCF to see a list of changes If installing from the retail CDROM, then 1.01.00 must be applied first. The 1.01.05 patch is no longer required, as this new version contains items from that version. The patch also contains a zip file of the GBS-II system, previously released via the registration login page. If you are running 1.01.04 or higher, you should backup ALL the files in the SAVE folder, install this patch, then copy them back. If you don't do this, the patch WILL delete your saved games!!

future saving in multiplayer
Supreme Cmdr replied to alphab1t5's topic in General Multiplayer Discussions
There are no plans to do this. Maybe in the next game, but most definitely not in UC. -
OK, so don't interprete it as such. Anyway, it should read quote: This unit is a reactor system upgrade. It has a very low Radine fuel consumption rate and unlike other reactors, consumes no Radine during HyperJumps.
