In fact, the only reason the Homelan interview wasn't censored, was because it went directly through me because Homelan sent the questions directly and did not go through Dreamcatcher. So, I had to talk John at Homelan into not running his interview until after the GameSpot one ran because of the promise (that they would get first dibs to anything I had to say) that Dreamcatcher media had made to GameSpot . Without telling me about it of course. Silly publishers

  4. GameSpot Interview Homelan Interview Hopefully these throw more light on how this transpired. WeeGee, there is nothing to be worried about. Just trust me.

LOL, am I the only one who sees the irony in the name of the engine?? LOL!!! I was wondering when someone was going to pick up on that.
  8. Yep, it sure is. Check GNN for the press release copy. I am going to be uploading some new screen shots later today. Boomtown has some new shots

  10. It is a real nice feel good drama. Don't go in with any lofty expectations and you'll end up liking it. Yes, that Osment kid is still an unbelievable annoying prick on screen - but you can look past that because both Caine and Duval have more screen time and make up for it.

  12. LOL!! man this movie was funny, but not over the top kinda funny; just subtle kinda funny. It is a really good drama - a date movie if you'd like. I haven't seen Michael Caine on screen in a while but he does quite well opposite Robert Duval. 9/10
  13. I was really looking forward to this one and found it quite enjoyable. As always, Dennis Quaid and Sharon Stone give some very strong performances. And lets not even talk about Stephen Dorf, who as always, plays mean to the hilt. A nice Hitchcockian type suspense thriller 9/10
  14. I saw it and found it quite enjoyable. I really didn't go in with too many expectations actually. The story, I thought, was just fine - but maybe its because I get it. It is the sort of movie where if you don't follow it or listen to all the dialogue - CAREFULLY - you're definitely going to miss a lot of stuff that makes the storyline coherent. The only part I found particularly gory was the death of Viktor. But I was prepared for that I think. The entire theatre stirred at that; which is quite uncommon I thought. 9.5/10
  15. heh, I think this is the most ridiculous list that GameSpy has ever posted. It is quite obvious that there is nothing objective or well thought out about it. Here is the on-going discussion over on Gone Gold.
  16. Good thing I held off on buying an LCD monitor then.

  18. I am planning on seeing this one this weekend. So how's the gore factor?
  19. Woohoo!!! That is AWESOME!!! news. Christian Bale is one of the most underrated actors. Now lets hope he gets a good script and lots of action. Man, this is awesome news!! psssst. Next time, post a link. How many times do I have to keep saying this?
  20. quote: Originally posted by Huwie: Well I seem to be at odds with most people here. I loved Eve. If it weren't for time issues I'd be playing it now. erm, the selling of the video unit has nothing to do with you liking Eve. Obviously if the video games unit was making money, they won't need to sell it, would they? Obviously - as was suspected - they buried a fortune into an MMOG that didn't make the numbers. Just think. A company that doesn't have a track record of releasing high-end games, goes and invests in an MMOG. A space based on no less. What are the odds of that being successful enough for a publisher to declare it profitable? Publishers don't give a toss if the game is good or not. All it has to do is sell enough to stay profitable. Eve is not profitable I would imagine.

  22. Well, literally it is. A phantom is seems
  23. Well, so much for that then.
  24. I posted about that one over here the other day. In fact, they had several things wrong and I sent them email about it so that they could fix them. Clearly, whoever wrote that article, knows barely anything about the games, let alone BC3K. They had BCG shots in the article. So I showed them were to get shots from the original BC3K. They had the article linked to the Interplay BC3K v2.0 release (GameSpy does not even have an entry DB for the original BC3K). And when they went and corrected it (they had the box art, release date and publisher all wrong), they replaced the BC3K v2.0 box art with the BC3K one. I have sent them yet another email about it. Several parts of the article were factually incorrect. e.g. this was originally stated, before I pointed out to them that fps mode only appeared in the 2001 release of BCM: "Players could also climb into fighters and blast enemy ships a la Wing Commander, and they could even travel down to millions of alien planets and blow away the natives FPS style." And in the same email, I sent them a little education about the various BC game releases. Battlecruiser 3000AD, 1996, Take Two Battlecruiser 3000AD v2.0x, 1998, Interplay Battlecruiser Millennium, 2001, 3000AD Inc (exclusive to EB) Battlecruiser Millennium Gold, 2003, Dreamcatcher Games Battlecruiser Generations, 2003, Dreamcatcher Games Anyway, life's too short to be too concerned about crap like this. As long as information about the product is factually correct, media opinions are irrelevant to me because I have grown way beyond that angst as I am no longer a n00b at this. I've got fourteen years of experience to prove just that.
  25. God, I hope someone gets fired - or at the very least, electrocuted, for this crap. Goddamn retards.
