I have added six more shots showing various interface revisions. Notice the TTDs in the Tacscan where you can cycle through them easily using the mouse. And in the Tacops shot, notice that the range (RNG: value updated in real-time) to all targets now appears in all target menus. This allows you to see how far targets (e.g. threats attacking you) are from you without having to select them first. [ 10-03-2003, 03:54 PM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]
  2. I have uploaded some new shots Two of them show the Visual Target Tracking, VTT feature which enables target tags for objects within a certain range of your craft.
  3. You can find it over at Game Gossip [ 02-23-2004, 08:41 AM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]
  4. You've probably already heard by now Man, this sucks bad on so many levels, its not even funny.

  7. quote: Originally posted by Telson Darv: which kind of imply a little that SC's commitment to producing a MMORPG or MMOG or basically a persistant universe version of the game may be waining. and so it may be a good few years before we see it come of age. erm, thats not true at all. In fact, there is an upcoming interview at gamegossip.com which sheds more light on this. My plan is simple, get UC out of the way; finish/ship the XBox title by 2004 holidays, focus on the MMOG title and hopefully get it sorted for 2005 holidays.
  8. whoa!!! me wants one!!!!
  9. quote: Originally posted by PowerCow: Anyone else think that this current situation with Nvidia and ATI is kind of similar to when 3DFX's reign as the graphics kings company was snatched away by 'the underdog' NVidia? I'd love to see ATI win this, purely for the irony of it all HO LEE COW!!!! *splutter* PowerCow IS THAT YOU?!?! /me keels over ass first
  10. Don't we have a rule about posting URLs to the originals for stuff like this? Or is it a gag? Sure looks like a gag to me.
  11. I have no control over that and the DVD case is the standard distribution method for European games.
  12. quote: Originally posted by Huwie: The IFF doesn't flash when they're targetted, They are not ships quote: However, they just hang there in space. They don't move or do anything. If they don't have a target, they won't go anywhere. And even though they don't seem to be moving, they probably are. If you target one and switch to the F10 camera view, you should see if they are moving or not, by the speed indicator. quote: Furthermore, not only are they not engaged by any friendly forces Only marines can engage marines quote: but also I have no way of killing them except with missiles. My main gun does no damage to them, my PTAs don't even fire. Getting out of the ship on a spacewalk and attacking them face to face does no damage. The main gun shots are too large to register a hit on such a small target. PTA only fires on ships. If you are close enough as a space marine yourself, you can kill them. The Sabre rifle does not have a very long range.
  13. quote: Originally posted by Sebbish: IGN says a demo is coming next week! Sweet! They must know something that I don't. And since I have the code, well then... The demo will be out in October - but it won't October as in next week October.
  14. quote: Originally posted by Eclipse: to steal a word from Derek... Wot? LOL!!! Now you know why I'm not even going to bother getting involved in this one.
  15. btw, that grass you see in the first shot, is actually swaying in the wind (courtesy of a vertex shader).
  16. I have uploaded 33 new shots
  17. quote: Originally posted by Most: Maybe in UC they will be... No they won't
  18. quote: Originally posted by Korgmeister: First I'll have to see if I can run it. Unfortunately I had to buy my computer a wee bit cheap which meant no AGP slot. My graphics card is a Voodoo 4500, which could be a bit slow for what you have in mind for BCG. UC won't run on that rig. Have you not been paying attention to the game requirements on the products page?
  19. quote: Originally posted by Korgmeister: One thing I love about this forum is how you don't get whacked for thread necromancy. *ahem!* LMAO!! Man, that was funny quote: Originally posted by Korgmeister: Anyway, as you can tell I'm very defensive in nature. I love my shields and my PTA turrets! Yeah, you make some pretty good selections there. And the new Megaron just looks kick-ass. Have you seen it yet? [ 09-29-2003, 01:13 PM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]
  20. quote: Originally posted by LBM: Just a few questions Derek about the new advanced AI. We all know the game is not FP shoot-em-up orientated but how does the new AI fair up when conducting a ground assault? Do enermy marines and tanks (etc..) provide a better challenge when under attack? Also, how well in your opinion do friendly assets respond and carry out orders in regards to an assault? Are you pleased with the new AI and does it meet with your expectations? The new AI kernel has better and more advanced SA attributes. The new kernel also provides support for Intelligent Terrain Analysis. Its rubbish-speak that says characters know how to use assets that are within the game world. e.g. a marine will no longer try to run you down and kill you with bad breath. If there is a vehicle closeby, judging by the distance, he will grab it and give chase in it. Weird stuff like that. quote: Originally posted by almostpilot: 1)The first question is : have I yet in UC, space flight sim ? 2)have We will a move transition between space and planetary surface ? 3) Roam flight are there ? thanks a lot 1. wot? 2. same as you do now 3. erm. yes
  21. You need both patches listed on the downloads page. When you install the second one, it should read 1.01.01 RC7 You need to install BOTH patches from inside the folder where the game is installed. At this point, you should read the FAQ where it describes how to start from scratch with a patch, then uninstall the game, kill the folder, install from CDROM and apply both patches one after the other.
  22. quote: Originally posted by nsorens: I am not having any luck with the patch, either. The game (BCM, not BCMG) runs fine before I install the patch, but after the patch is installed, I only get as far as the initial splash screen (which, I noticed, is not the "SafeDisc" one that appears pre-patch). I watched the process list in the Win2K Task Manager--the program simply quits without an error message about a second after the initial splash screen disappears. Means you didn't install it properly. Read the FAQ
  23. uhm, wow?
  24. quote: Originally posted by Marvin: Btw, newspaper editors make changes all the time. Reporters are often amazed at "what they wrote" after reading their own articles in the morning paper.
