  2. Just absolutely awesome!!! This is the second time this Summer that I'm awarding a high score to a movie. Johnny Depp is just absolutely perfect for this role. 2.5hrs and I wasn't bored *once* (Ang Lee, take note, and thanks for ruining Hulk, you bastard!) Gonna go see it again this weekend with the rest of the tribe. 10/10
  3. quote: Originally posted by TopSpeed: I've got the parts. I bought a Weapons Pod, and when that itself didn't do it, went back and got the individual components listed. They show up in inventory, and the 'have' list on the Logistix repair screen, but none are listed as 'needed'. Then obviously its not what you need, is it? If there is a component missing, you can't repair that system. Anyway, what game are you playing? BCM or BCM Gold? If you're sure its a bug, then by all means, send along the saved game. If I find its not a bug, but rather you not reading the manual etc, I'm not going to be a happy man. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Yes (but its saved game 10, not 11) and thats the file that Resume uses. The 10 saved game slots are only for intentional saves. There is a discussion about saves games in the forum archives.

When I click on it, the menu for repair, replace, and upgrade is present, but none of the options can be selected (they aren't greyed out, are light but not highlighted). I guess it never occured to you that you don't have the parts to repair/replace it?
  7. Because thats how I seeded the pricing (look in the ITEMS.INI file). Besides, think of the CAV (line 367) as a do-it-yourself kit, including all the wrenches you'd need. Then look at the OC Asset (line 098) as an already assembled, tested, broken-in version. No, I'm not messing with the pricing, so don't ask.
  8. quote: Originally posted by Kasey Chang: I know what each ship uses... My question is... why the HUGE difference in price, or is that just for "bookkeeping" purposes, everybody pays this "unified" price, no matter what vehicle they use? Pricing is handled just like any other commodity. Find a station that has it cheap and buy it from there.
  9. btw, the European version has the full manual in Acrobat format. I included that back when they were complaining about the manual being to big to fit in those matchboxes they ship games in Europe in. Also the European version is the latest v1.01.00, so no need to download any patches...except for the upcoming v1.01.01 (due out soon as we resolve some pending mp issues).
  10. goddamnit, I was gonna see that yesterday - if only I wasn't already in crunch mode. OK, there is always tomorrow
  11. The OC (Other Craft) ASSET is the identifier for those vehicles, regardless of whether you have a CAV or a LAV. When you purchase it, the system will pick the correct one. It was done this way to prevent gamers from loading assets onto crafts that don't support them. e.g. purchasing an ATV to replace a CAV. To see what assets all ships use, look at the DATAASSETS.INI file.

  14. oh dear.
  15. Yeah, if you uninstalled Nero, inCD will also be uninstalled

Last two pages are the two Game Commands pages. Best regards I have NO idea what that means. I didn't do a 52 page manual and I certainly don't see how they could shrink the manual from 150 pages down to 52 and have all the information in there. I did include the PDF version of the full manual on the CD. And this is because, due to the smaller DVD-style packaging, there is no way they could fit the US version of the 150 page manual in it. God only knows whats in that 52 page manual. I haven't even seen the English version of it.

  18. quote: Originally posted by Gudihl: I ordered at amazon.de. It has a German translated manual inside, The full 150 page printed manual?
  19. quote: Originally posted by Bandus: Alcohol 120% is excellent software. However, with that said, it's used for completly different purposes then what your trying to do. Hence my confusion I have the latest Nero version installed on a WIN2K Pro SP4 machine and it works just fine. But I have InCD disabled (I have no idea why those pricks insist on installing it - and with no uninstaller unless you go fish around in the registry. I use NTI FileCD, which is better) so that might be whats causing the problem on your end.
  20. quote: Originally posted by Dunk: Continuing my tests on this, I tried alchohol 120% as an alternative, and this causes the CD check problem also. Again, uninstalled it and reboot and it works fine. wot?
  21. hehe, each time you to enter your craft, everything gets nicely restocked. I think there's a drone somewhere in that airlock who does that.

Your BIOS will rarely find a memory chip problem. You need a memory checker and there are SO many - free ones - on the Net that I'm surprised you're even asking this question. Several download links are on the links section of the website. Go there. Thats why I maintain that list.
  23. Thats possible. SafeDisc2 will choke on certain drivers because it regards them as attempting to circumvent it e.g. the SoftIce debugger.
