Yep; its a good one alright. In fact, you don't have to worry about his LF while in Medibay, because he will still heal since he's in there. Getting the Celestial Orb arfifact also helps. In which case, you can keep him in Medibay and in a strait jacket indefinitely He will leave when hungry though. And guess what, after eating, he will go back on-station instead of going to MediBay. So, watch out for that sneaky behaviour!!

I doubt that its the video card. If you have money to burn on a GF3, it would be better spent on winXP Home And your SB Live! sound drivers may also be suspect.

So, just because I get games, doesn't mean I'm even going to open the box, let alone play them long enough to be addicted.

quote: Originally posted by Bandus: Yep. Tried all of that. None of those things helped. The problem change with the 3D Sound off though. Instead of crashing in the game it crashed after it was done loading all the region scripts. I turned the 3D sound back on and it let me get in game and then crashed per the last post I made... Then try un-installing and re-installing

quote: Originally posted by Enigma: SC, is there a way we can force the crew to the galley? Cause they dont always go when i send them off duty (or even stay off duty). so i have a few with like 500+ HF in Tactical->Crew. i have to send them to medibay to have them sit still long enough to lower thier FF (medics, marines and sengs do this) No, they will eat when they are hungry. This is handled by their internal AI. As long as you have Nutripaks in the cargo bay and the path to the galley is not blocked, no matter where they are, once they are hungry, they will go eat. Just ignore them, and stop staring at their HF value. You'll just worry more. Mothers Specifications, heh, looks like you're bonding with your ship's onboard computer huh? I don't plan on doing it again as Doctor X committed suicide in remorse for shooting system engineer #1 in the back and head 20 times. Come to think of it, my allies (friends?) were wary of me when we played the all-night Risk games... LMAO!!! Damn, you guys are funny! ....can't wait for multiplayer. As much as some of you hate it when I come down on you like a ton of bricks, I'm sure that all will be forgiven once you see just what mp is meant to me.

quote: Originally posted by Noxxae: ok detonating 20 bugnors was a stupid thing to do, im curious tho, will i ever be able to return to earth!!??? SC how long if ever will it take for things to calm down on earth? Sure you can return to Earth. I don't see why you can't. Most assets get rebuilt after a couple of hours of game time. You can also use the Playmod cheat tool to advance time if you don't want to wait.

quote: Originally posted by AshSpear: These are the recommended specs from the product info page... Rather than being barely minumum, my specs seem to be rather double the minimum, and even in excess of the recommended, A Pentium III 500Mhz is faster than a Celeron 766 - which you have obviously overclocked. A TNT2 card is an antique card and hardly meets the specification of a DirectX 8 compliant card. And if you are going to quote the game's requirements, at least get it right and verbatim. quote: so I think I'm justifyed in being a bit disappointed that I can't vist the same planet multiple times without the grinding to an unplayably slow framrate. Nothing is stopping you from doing this. But if you go and do something foolish like detonating 20 Bugnors on a planet (like the previous poster), you only have yourself to blame. It ranks up there with trying to run the game at 1280x1024x32 on a sub-par system. Same thing. Play the game according to your system and it will scale accordingly. There is NO reason for anyone to do such things as detonating 20 Bugnors on Earth - because there is no mission that requires it. That previous poster did it because he can and because he wanted to. You have to pay the price of such actions. [ 03-25-2002, 14:42: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]

Yeah, it was total crap. Embarassing even Man, I really do want to see Blade2 from start to finish. *sigh*

I agree. I too think that Amelie should've won. But as for Best Actor and Actress, right on the money.

LOL!! You guys are insane Anyway, please edit your posts and remove the embedded images please. Just link to the image as normal. My bandwidth bill is already nerve shattering as is it.

quote: Originally posted by goaliejerry: As far as food, perhaps putting some nutripaks in the cargo holds would hold them over, but I am not sure if they need access to the galley or not, I think they do. If you try it let us know what you find They don't get Nutripaks from the cargo hold. Read the manual.

If you monitor it, you won't have to cheat.

Look, you want to use your drivers, use them. Just don't post anything here that is factually inaccurate. That is all.

quote: Originally posted by AshSpear: So, then, it is pretty much impossible for anyone, reguardless of their machine, to visit every area on a planet with the same profile, whether you try all visit them all at one time, or go back to the planet on several occasions? No. That is not the case. You have a Celeron 700 and a TNT2 card. By all accounts, that system is just barely above the minimum requirements. When I am building the planetary regions, I visit each one during the same session. And back when I did them, the fastest machine I had to a 1Ghz PIII. Worked just fine. As the manual and the FAQ states, just because you can do it, doesn't mean that you should. And in your case. Don't. If the game were a canned, railed type of game, you'd never even see 0.0009% of the game (as evident by the two ACM scenarios). So, just because you have the freedom to do a lot of things, doesn't mean that you should if you don't have the system to run it.

That information is false. BCM is not a benchmarking program and your frame rate loss while flying around galcomhq, depends on how close you are to the planet and how much of it is in view. If you want to benchmark drivers, use 3DMark 2001

Can someone please shut the fool up, before I do, please? Thanks.
