quote: Originally posted by LordBane: Here's an issue I've run into. While playing BCM, before I finish off a space station, I go and save incase I accidentally destroy it instead of disabling it. When I go and restore the saved file, some times it works, most of the time it locks up my system. Upon rebooting, and starting up BCM, my saved information is gone, My AE isn't even shown in the list, and clicking resume, takes me to make a new AE. Any help would be greatly appreciated Make sure you are running the latest version of the game. The only way to be sure is to re-install and apply the latest patch.

Apart from the fact that you should be using the CURRENTLY supported version of the game, the inflation rate for each station changes over time. It is not region related. If its going negative, thats probably a bug. But I will check. The inflation rate shouldn't change when you save/restore a game. This is similar to that quick save elapse time exploit that was fixed in 1.0.06 RC4 btw, your excuse for not using 1.0.07 is nonsense [ 03-13-2002, 14:39: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]

Once I realized that the inflation rate would change when I saved, I sat there for HOURS clicking the same freakin thing over and over to get the billion dollars. huh? please explain. That sounds like a bug. Saving the game should have NO effect on the inflation rate of any region.

quote: Originally posted by Shadow_Wolf33: that would be sweet! then you could go around in a system, blow the living monkey poop out of everyone that has anything that looks like cargo...and starve the station until its waiting to pay what YOU want Yep But you can seige a station right now in BCM. Just prevent NPC transports from docking with it and eventually it will run out of materials. Over time, the station itself will start to deteriorate and will SOS.

Or you could look at the DATANAVCHART.INI file I will ask Gallion to add some of that info in that INI file to the LBASES.HTML appendix file.

That one didn't last long. I got tired of editing and deleting posts. So, thread closed. Some idiots think that the manual and the XP1 FAQ was designed to be ignored. Wankers. Thats that [ 03-13-2002, 09:26: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]
