  1. Thats nice. Now get rid of those embedded images and change them to links, or the thread will be deleted by myself or another admin/mod person.

  6. No. The parameter used to determine the radar detection range was set too low. This puts it too close to the object itself, meaning that you'd have to be *real* close in order to be detected. e.g. the barracks is 175m wide from its center. The detect range for it was set to 100m. So, you'd have to be inside the model in order to breach its radar detection range. As such, it won't see hostiles and doesn't launch defense units (e.g. marines). Now that the extra zero (making it 1000m again) has been added to these units (I recently did a search and replace to change from values and inadvertently changed these as well), it works the way it used to. 7. Absolute, unadulterated rubbish. I left with about 30 mins to spare. 2/10
  8. This is frigging hilarious!! This was the preview weekend and since I had some time after clockstoppers and saw it right after. If you like National Lampoons goofy comedy, this one will have you laughing from start to finish. Tara Reid was great in this one too - quite smashing actually. 10/10
  9. A lot of fun. If you liked Back To the Future movies, you will love this one. Cool specialfx. 9/10
  10. Saw this one on Friday. Quite good. 8/10
  11. This site is hacker proof. The only way they can get in, is to hack into the ISP itself.
  12. quote: Originally posted by Enigma: yeah, i was wondering about that. how can the ship planetfall from like 500k with HJ but u can to fly to less than 100k and also make planet fall If you actually understood how it worked - and read the manual - you would have the answer to this question. It has NOTHING to do with the distance to the planet. If the target is a planet, you are ASKED if you want to establish planetfall. This was done in order to make entering a planet a one-step process, rather than a two-step process. Previously, you would have to jump to the planet, drop out of range of its gravitational pull - and then fly toward it manually until you breached it. With this method, you can still jump to the planet and if you don't want to establish planetfall, you just say NO. doh! I don't even know why I have to explain something so simple, obvious and idiot-proof. Damn n00bs.
  13. ...uhm, I take it that it works now, then?
  14. I have uploaded a script update to fix this problem. Check the VCF for the link.
  15. I didn't hear back from the Beta testers, so I went and ran some tests. I found the problem in one of the master scripts. I set the min acquisition range too low; and this prevented those units from even detecting you. I will be releasing an updated set of script files in a few mins (since no code change was needed) to resolve this problem until the next patch is released. This change will probably not affect existing save games though; but try it anyway. So, you need to start a new game in order to use these new values. To see if this works, simply run the IA06 [bCIA0023] script and exit your ATV. You will be engaged by marines almost immediately.
  16. OK. Thats definitely a bug because it used to work. I've passed it on to the Beta testers for further investigation. They will report their findings to me and we can figure out when it broke.
  17. quote: Originally posted by Shintai Tusatsu: Yea, I noticed that too...no marines or enemy ATV's attacking my forces... Vehicles don't, but marines should be sent out from most structures, especially bunkers, barracks, starbases and launch pads. If they don't, something's gone awry. I'm not going to look into it until someone credible (damn n00bs always end up wasting my time) posts that there is a problem.
  18. What planet? What mzone? When? Where? How come?
  19. Happy Birthday!!!
  20. LMAO!! Space Muppet; I'm sure Herbert hasn't been called that before.
