  1. 1. Read the registration thread in the announcements section 2. Unless you have all the materials, this will happen. 3. Driver problem. Nothing we can do about it. Get the latest drivers for your video card. [ 12-07-2001: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]

  3. Steve, are you Melanie650? [ 12-06-2001: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]

Derek, any word on a unsupported fix for us Voodoo 5 owners? As I've said, we can't fixing driver issues. After looking at it, my conclusion remains the same, it can't be fixed. You might want to try the -ng option to solve the ground plane issue.
  5. quote: Originally posted by Roberto: SC, this was the same thing I was trying to explain to you before. Yes I have already been able to verify, and reproduced this by means of the steps I posted in this thread, before it was deleted. I am hoping that other people have seen this too, but now I feel a little better knowing that I am not the only person that has seen this. This is YOUR email to the support address that I wrote here. Please stop posting about this until someone else reports to me.
  6. You can only dock at a starbase. This has not changed since the very first BC title.
  7. This makes absolutely no sense to me and I'm not even going to investigate it. So, anyone who has time to verify this, let me know what you find. quote: I recently acquired BCM, and I have only one problem that I cannot solve... It is related to the TTD tags in TACOPS when viewing planets. My understanding is that when you zoom in to view a scene, such as some _mbase scene, all the buildings and units should have TTD boxes around them, so that you can target them. This works fine, even when moving to many different scenes and regions of the planet, however once I have placed a waypoint, such as deploy drone, and I have the shuttle deliver the drone and return to base, there is a problem. Now if I zoom to another scene I can see the buildings, but the ttd do not appear for these. I try exiting tacops, and trying again. I've tried changing the angle, and the zoom, I have even tried exiting the game, and then restoring the saved game, but I can only view the TTD for buildings and units in the vicinity of where I deployed the drone. Even after the drone is recovered, and there are no units or waypoints in the area, the problem persists.
  8. If they don't have a firing solution, they won't fire. I'm gonna relax that at some point.

  10. quote: Originally posted by Schmendrick: I found a planet where I saw lots of naval vessels cruising around underneath the surface. No water anywhere near this place. It didn't look like one of the shallow water areas you described above. I have screenshots which show the planet/location which I can post when I get home. (oops. sneezed and hit the 'post' button) [ 12-06-2001: Message edited by: Schmendrick ] OK. Send them to me
  11. quote: Originally posted by SmileyMan: The problem I have is with finding mining drones on the surface of an uninhabited moon. If you have no other presence on the moon (like a shuttle, fighter, or marine) then the mining drones do not appear in the TacOps Zoom To menu. Read today's VCF

  13. ...it had to happen
  14. LOL! Thats happened to me too actually.
  15. You can find it here

  17. quote: Originally posted by Joel Schultz: OK, my turn to be a clueless n00b.The "command & control" building on the starbases in planetary mission zones is supposed to be dockable, right? No.
  18. quote: Originally posted by Tac: ack Tyrn beat me to it.Before I say anything more, I'd have to ask the SC: If your Carrier is in Earth and you have deployed no probes.. and you launch a fighter or shuttle and order it to jump at, say, Jupiter. Should I be able to see the region that craft is in in TacOps if I have no probe deployed in the area? I can see it in the game, by going to the ZOOM TO option.. but that smells like a backdoor way to get full TacOps view into a region I have no probes and only a snubfighter or shuttle with hardly a sensor package comparable to a cap ship, yet I get the same info from them. Malice in Wonderland? It works as designed
  19. Melanie650, I deleted that stupid thread you created before. The next time I have to delete another of your threads, I'm going to ban you from the site. I have had to delete four already and you're skirting the fine line. STAY ON TOPIC! Anyway, on to what I was saying. BCM is a team effort and apart from me, no one person is responsible for it. That includes the testers, Darrin, Peter etc. So, unless you know Andrei (which is highly unlikely) and have seen him post here (also unlikely), I don't know what you're thanking one person for. So, I'm not even sure what you're talking about. And why have you not registered the game and fixed your sig? [ 12-06-2001: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]

When in fact, 2311 are the latest drivers we're all using? *sigh*
  21. quote: Originally posted by Count_Sessine: Good perspective, hehe. In any case it's a very minor issue. No its not. Its not an issue. Thats how it works and its just fine.
  22. Zuul, posting here is a priviledge, not a right. With that, your posting priviledge is hereby revoked. If everyone else can configure their systems and you find that you don't have to, thats not my problem. Its YOUR problem and I don't give a toss how YOU feel about it. If you choose not to follow procedure, you're on your own. And I'm not going to even edit or delete your posts because they demonstrate the sort of ludicrity that only a complete ass would demonstrate. The intention is that others may learn from them. You want to make an ass of yourself, be my guest - but don't do it here. [ 12-06-2001: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]

  24. quote: Originally posted by LordDavid: Here's something that I want to be fixed that affects all the Gammulans out there. It is not a bug, but still..... fixing it would be nice... The Stormcarrier dosen't have enough pilots to go around for all of its fighters. With the Stormcarrier's slow maneuveribility those fighters are vital for survival. This probably would be more beneficial in multiplayer though. [ 12-06-2001: Message edited by: LordDavid ] Didn't I say if its not broken, not to post it in here? Are you trying my patience or do you just want me to type up this threatening post?
  25. quote: Originally posted by Tyrn: There is one disadvantage to towing your own CC though, I have yet to find a way to order the shuttle to disengage the tractor beam without being on the shuttle myself. Hard to fight an effective battle when you aren't in the cmdr's chair. The TOW/NONE order works for that.
