I know this is documented in the FAQ, but I thought I'd post it here again. BCM does NOT have ANYTHING to do with Installshield Express installer problems. NOTHING at all. If you have installer issues, make sure that you disable ALL running programs before attempting to run the SETUP.EXE off the CDROM. You can also try executing the .MSI file directly, if your system has Windows Installer properly installed. [ 11-22-2001: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]

Thanks Midnight. Good call. Yes, the marketing units are the shrink wrapped version and don't come in a box. The serial number is also a different set. What the managers are doing is similar to giving away an instore display unit for example, an XBox. Also, the EULA (in the inside back cover), clearly states that the license is NOT transferable unless purchased. The two people with the free copies, MUST return them to the store managers. Tell them thanks, explain the situation and buy a copy. ALL the EB stores should have the game in today. If those two people don't return those copies (especially now that I've told EB execs about it and who are now sending out a store wide memo about it), then they are illegal copies. Death and Lonestar, please comply with the above and when you buy your own copies, go ahead and register it so that I know you've actually bought them. That is all. OK, I see the others have set the record straight. Like I said, once I see more evidence of familiarity and members, I will approve it. Right now, I'm not giving ANYONE (most especially a noob) permission to create a fleet unless they've been around A WHILE. The database is being redesigned to support more fleets of different race, caste affliations. That stuff, like everything else about the BC universe, costs ME money. So, if you're going to yell about being flamed because you're been told HOW things are done around here, what makes you think you're fit to lead? And why would I leave something I paid for in the hands of someone who is incompetent (not saying you are, of course - am just making a point) and can't do things right? That is all
