  1. Thats right. EB only have North American rights - which is probably why they won't allow ordering from the UK. I will discuss this with my attorney later next week and grant them the rights to accept international orders.....if they don't already do so. Are you sure that you can't order from the UK? What message are you getting? Did you try to order from the US site or the UK site?
  2. Very nice!!
  3. I came I saw I laughed I left ....can't wait for multiplayer. These recruitment drives get even more hilarious each time I see one.
  4. Pugwash, follow the PCG transport and fly over to the station where it docks. You'll see that its got the PCG logo textured on it.
  5. There is no member 0 in the database. Where'd you get that from?
  6. quote: It WILL be used for GCO ...no it won't
  7. Chips 'n Bits are not selling it. In order to sell it, you have to have it. They don't have it. All the retailers have been listing BCM for sometime now. Nothing wrong with that. The EB exclusive is for the first 90-days upon the game's release. After that, any retailer can sell it. And since am the one doing production, units will only be shipped to EB during those 90-days.
  8. Then someone goofed. Either that, or they are going to run it again in the next issue. I think that what they're going to do.
  9. Well, the info you gave is inconsistent with what I see on that link. Go look at it again. Carefully this time.
  10. Only some systems won't allow you to modify the shortcut. The only reason you should delete and create a new one, is if you find that you cannot edit the existing one.
  11. Its not hidden anywhere. Send email to Mark Southern or Matt Pierce and ask them what demo they actually ran. If they ran the special one I did for them, then there would be 3 IA scenarios listed, not 2. No, this third scenario won't appear in any future demo because one of the stations is textured using the PCG logo.
  12. LOL!!! : Remo
  13. Isn't tonite the Voyager finale?
  14. ...no seriously though, it is inconsiderate. Tyrn and DeSylva, experience BC vets, post pretty much the same thing and here we are, several posts later, reading the same crap, when Episilon5 should should just go do it, and post the findings. Its ludicrous. ...btw, I am going to disable the ability to edit posts in UBB (except my admins and mods). [ 05-10-2001: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]
  15. quote: Starstation missiles. I made a mistake at pixan. But all I want out is the radiation, but I can't store rad control units cause it's cargo bay 2 destroyed. Even if I repairs my ship to 100, the radiation will stay. It's a deadlock situation. 7 hours of repairs... If you actually followed Tyrn's advice, rather than typing up a load of nonsensical rubbish, and cluttering the thread, the problem would have been fixed by now. ....but no. That would be too easy now, won't it? So, lets continue repeating the same old garbage, so, several months from now, when someone else does a search and finds this thread, they'd find the same repetitive crap. Nice. quote: Anyone knows if there was a version of BCM released in 1st april 2001?? I checked ard and found this site selling it. It stated BCM W98 or something like that and stated that it was out of stock. I dun think this is the same BCM that is being release by Ebgames, but if anyone got any info of this matter would really help me. Thank you. ...and here's another bright one; who didn't think that actually posting the link in question, would be a good idea.
  16. quote: Go to the folder where BC:M demo is installed, open it, inside there is a file called bcm.exe right click that file and choose "create shortcut". After that you will see a file in that folder that is called "shortcut to bcm.exe" right click on that and choose properties. A window will pop up, in the line where it says Target:"C:Program Files3000ADBattlecruiser Millennium Demobcm.exe" type in this /d1 it will make the line look like this "C:Program Files3000ADBattlecruiser Millennium Demobcm.exe" /d1 Do NOT do that!!!!!!!!!! There is a shortcut created by the demo install. Just edit that shortcut as indicated by adding the /d1 to the target line as indicated above. There is NO need to create a new shortcut. Its just a waste of time. quote: Do not try it with the station that is in the system you start in, for some reason that one does not work for me either. Jump to the next system and try it with the hostile station. Thats because you can only capture hostile stations. [ 05-09-2001: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]
  17. Aramike is right. Member #1 is a default admin account set up by UBB - and which should be deleted once UBB is up and running. Thats what I did. I was member #308 because of the time I created this account. In fact #87 is my dsmart account. Once I figure out how to hack the records, I'll switch profiles with whoever is #2
  18. quote: I remember reading some time ago that there is a bug in the opening that means that for however long you remain docked at the station the AI stored up random events and hurld them all at you the instant you leave the station. Is this true? No. Thats not true
  19. quote: MapMake.exe and double clicked on it That won't do it. Look for the file called bldmaps.bat and execute it. Thats what calls mapmake.exe with the proper parameters. Running mapmake.exe by itself, does nothing.
  20. quote: What is it really for? Read the artifacts section of the manual appendix quote: Is it a weapon of deterence or has GALACTIC COMMAND gone off the deep end? I'm interested in the story behind it. Why was it built? Read the history section of the manual quote: And most scary of all , will it be available in BCM Yes quote: and GCO? No
  21. quote: Also, in multiplayer, trading vessels can be used to resupply fleets. The military careers will not have access to trading vessels, and because of the massive payloads such vessels can carry, it would certainly be in the fleets interests to have a trader on the server they are allied with. Not true. Military commanders also have access to armed transports. quote: How about organizing some kind of trader alliance? Lets say traders get together, we look after each other, and make faction laws as we go along. I am not sure though if there should be different trader guilds, because supplying one side will obviously anger the other. So there should be like lets say one trader alliance with separate factions within it. That notion is ludicrous. There is no way in hell any group of gamers are going to be able to keep a single trading alliance. At best, there may be different alliances, corporations etc. In BCM mp, gamers can do what the hell they like and form as many disjointed and disorganized alliances and factions as they can. In GCO, there will be a set number of corps, alliances, factions etc. You just join one and stay with it. If you leave to join another, you lose all your stats and possibly some of your possessions. Some of you may want to read the GCO faq which contains some answers. I haven't updated it in a while though. [ 05-07-2001: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]
  22. Wow, those MS coders totally rule!! Windows XP source code
  23. OK. Thats why am puzzled as to how Soback's pointers worked, when you don't even have a Voodoo card. You have an nVidia board and the z-buffer settings are described in the FAQ
  24. brendiaz, what is your system specs? I'm curious to know how Soback knew you had a Voodoo card.
  25. quote: BTW, Paddy and I are discussing privately Rubbish. If you were discussing privately, you would use the board's private message function. Now cut out the attitude, ok?
