Fleet Commanders Recall Notice
Supreme Cmdr replied to Rattler's topic in General Multiplayer Fleet Discussions
OK, Ristar. I'll reconsider and re-instate you, in lieu of the circumstances. However, Josh will be your second in command, because he was willing to step up and take charge of things, in order to ensure that ISS was not disabanded. Now that you know, any such lengthy disappearances should be entered in the log and your status updated accordingling. Had I known this, I would not have deleted your profile, I would simply have set the status to INACTIVE. -
Fleet Commanders Recall Notice
Supreme Cmdr replied to Rattler's topic in General Multiplayer Fleet Discussions
Pyro, considering that your profile is new, and your occupation is listed as, God - you are definitely the kind of person we keep a watchful eye on. NO vanity email address for you, even God can't get away with that. -
Fleet Commanders Recall Notice
Supreme Cmdr replied to Rattler's topic in General Multiplayer Fleet Discussions
You are a newbie. No vanity emails allowed. Even with a vanity email, you should have a primary ISP - who also provide email accounts. Tac, delete his profile if a vanity email appears in it. -
OK, if you are up to the job, I'll promote you to Fleet Leader of ISS. Check the Fleet Bulletin, later today. I'll go ahead and approve your registration now, assuming you have re-registered. Do you have a webpage etc?

Fleet Commanders Recall Notice

Josh, we know who you are, so you're OK. Just go ahead and re-register. -
Pyros, I have deleted this Archaic user record. Send email to [email protected] and they'll send you the info for your Pyros user record. Questions: You need 2 copies of the game because each one will be serialized and no 2 serial numbers will be allowed on mp servers. No dedicated server required. You can setup a game on an internal LAN. But one the machine acting as client and server, had better be fast. Read the product info page No info available at the moment but wherever you got those estimates from, is ludicrous.

Are you safe from Hackers? This baby will answer that for you!

I use both ZoneAlarm and Neotrace here too. Black Ice is compromised and in my case, some ******* was trying to re-route my incoming email port. Unlucky for him, my comms server, running BI at the time because I hadn't gotten around to upgrading it, accesses my main station which as Zone Alarm on it, but I had configured it so that the comms server, was not regarded as part of the local zone after 10 mins of elapsed usage. From that point on, I removed BI and installed ZA on that machine too. And yes, if you look at the ZA log, it'll make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. -
It has nothing to do with the forums. Its to do with either your browser or your ISP. If your ISP is caching pages, you'll get this problem. The only way around it is to force a page reload by holding down the SHIFT key and doing a refresh, I think.

Its now linked to on the main Fleets page. Be sure to register it on the webring.

Fleet Commanders Recall Notice
Supreme Cmdr replied to Rattler's topic in General Multiplayer Fleet Discussions
I think that people we know can use vanity addresses. Those we don't, eg, new registrants, cannot. For instance, if aramike decides he's going to get a vanity address because he's on the road or something, thats fine because we already know him. Its the new influx of registrants, especially once the Beta goes live, who we should be worried about. btw, I've updated the fleet FAQ. Rattler, I need brief info from you about those new fleets so that I can add it on my next update pass tomorrow night. -
Thats what happens when you put irresponsible people in positions of authority. Because I manually registered all fleet leaders, thats why Jehun Rister is even in the FD. In fact, I'm gonna go delete it now. And if I don't hear from him by Wednesday, I'm bringing ISS under the authority of Prime Fleet leader, Gudihl And have you two ladies not registered?

Fleet Commanders Recall Notice
Supreme Cmdr replied to Rattler's topic in General Multiplayer Fleet Discussions
Well, level 4 personnel with admin access, can authorize any recruit, regardless of what fleet. So, its simple, if you logon as admin and check the recruits listing from the main page, then go to authorize someone and find them either: Using a vanity email address A moronic asset (ship) name. I had someone register Unknown, as a ship name. I just deleted it. A moronic commander name. (WarSongDeathMark thought he was being cute by putting in an entire silly sentence as a commander name. One click and the record was history. ...just delete it. And if you feel like it, provide a reason in the field and ask them to re-register. Do NOT register anyone, manually, or register them with incorrect info, hoping to go back in and correct their info. And as for those not registering. Don't worry, we know who won't be getting anywhere near my Beta release. Even though it is an open public Beta, only about 500 people will be picked and if they are not already registered in fleets, (yes, I'm going to look up each and every one of them in the FD), their Beta app will be rejected. So, I won't worry about it if I were you. -
Yep, I saw HEAT a bunch of times before I finally went out and bought the laser disk....then, a few months back, I got the DVD. Go figure. Right now, am waiting to grab the DVD of Pitch Black. I hear its coming out in October sometime.

I have updated the fleetfaq with some critical info that everyone and their one-eyes navigator, should read. The two sections appear at the very bottom of the file. www.3000ad.com/fleets/fleetsfaq.shtml Also, Justin will be posting links to the assets on the main fleet page. As such, I have updated the screen shots pages 2-5 with a break-down of all asset types. And I have now included the first person model pics as well as all weapons and items. www.3000ad.com/shots/bcmshots2.shtml

My favorite entrance was the first one, where he was walking down the stairs with flowing multicolored gown. Now that was cool.

I liked Entrapment and The Saint too! But one of my all time favorites, is Ronin.

Fleet Database Prototype Online
Supreme Cmdr replied to Supreme Cmdr's topic in General Multiplayer Fleet Discussions
OK, everything seems OK now. Justin is putting in the following final touches Ability to move people across alliances, fleets, wings etc, without having to delete their profile and have them re-register. Numeric field for entering the number of medals Clean up the mission zone list. I accidentally put in duplicates when I sent him the list Adding an Asset Images link on the front page (after the galaxy maps option) which links to several files I'm working on right now. These will contain the asset listing as well as the allowable assets depending on career. eg, traders or military supply personnel, should not be allocated any ship type other than transports or shuttles, by fleet leaders. -
Fleet Registration Open
Supreme Cmdr replied to Supreme Cmdr's topic in General Multiplayer Fleet Discussions
Registration is fixed now -
Yep, Zeke is right. Mostly it will be used for those castes who don't belong to any fleets. So, traders can setup corporations, raiders can setup guilds etc. During FAS games, fleets, out on a limb and with no suppliers in their route, can buy stuff from traders etc. heh, could even have traders with armed transports, hanging about in conflict zones, selling arms etc. If you guys use your imagination as well as all the resources I've put in the game, multiplayer in BCM will be like none other you have ever played. One thing though, and I will be setting up the rules. Your asset selected on the FD must match what you use in the game. Any discrepancies and your stats won't be updated. Nick, Justin and I, will be linking that database directly into the multiplayer stats server so that kills, killzones, ranks, EPs etc, are fed directly into the FD fields. Again, those FAS servers are not for free-for-all, they are for roleplaying and community based gaming enjoyment. Sure, you can change your role, assets etc, but not as often as you'd think. For one thing, I'm going to be posting the asset selection screen from BCM, later today. This way, you guys have an idea as to what sort of assets each career has access to. You won't see traders flying around in Stormcarriers, for example.

Fleet Registration Open
Supreme Cmdr replied to Supreme Cmdr's topic in General Multiplayer Fleet Discussions
Justin recently uploaded his latest changes, so, that could be the problem. I've sent him email and called him at home so that this can get fixed asap, seeing that most people will be registering over this weekend. Keep trying -
Saw this too last night. Pretty cool!! Though it was a bit on the gory side (yeah, I'm the guy who walked out of Saving Private Ryan 30 mins into the movie and The Patriot, around the same time, right after Mel's first gruesome hack 'n slash) at some points, it accurately depicted the thoughts of a totally mad man. The cinematography was very cool. I give it a 4/5. It loses 1 point because I thought some of the gore was too over the top and could have been toned down a bit, without losing anything.

Saw it last night, I give is a 4/5. Any Snipes fan will like it. Its got a bit of everything and very subtle to boot. Snipes is not some superhero type etc, and his character is totally believable. In fact, it reminded me a lot of Jack Ryan. As for the spy trivia, Gallion, I'd say Reverse and that Inside is the most important. DarkHorizon, as far as I can tell, the The Art of War, the movie, has nothing to do with The Art Of War, the Chinese themed book. So, I don't know what you're talking about. Or was there a book actually based on this Snipes movie? (probably not). The movie was not trying, in any shape or form, to depict the book. It simply used one of the Art Of War themes to demonstrate what was going on inside the UN. Anyway, if you felt that the movie sucked, you must have fallen asleep through it, so, you probably didn't get much out of it. One thing that surprised me is that this movie didn't get the massive advertising that most Snipes movies get. I only saw the trailer a few times on TV. Then again, maybe I don't watch TV a lot, even though I my dedicate comms server has a Matrox G400 in it and I usually flip channels when CNN gets too boring, or if its a West Wing or JAG night. Speaking of which, did anyone catch the trailers for Get Carter (the new Stallone thriller) and Highlander: End Game, featuring Adrian Paul, Bruce Payne!!, and Chris Lambert. Man, that looks totally kick-ass. And I think I saw Chow Yun Phat in it, but I wasn't sure if it was him or not. Bruce Payne looked totaly wicked and its great to see Adrian Paul is getting big screen jobs again. I just saw him in a so-so video called The Premonition.
