Megaron all the way. It's the best carrier, and i've said that ever since I tried it. Just look at the stats on the appendix, and you'll see why it's the best. Super carriers may be stronger, but they cant get the best upgrades, so the megaron ends up being more powerful, faster, etc, just with less fighters.

Time to get me a game.

I almost pre-ordered it, and after the last post, i'm glad I didn't. I was about to, but then I thought for a second and realized that the only game that actually lived up to all of it's HUGE hype was BCM, and then I additionally realized that Derek Smart wasn't developing it, so then I figured i'll wait to see the reviews (since the pre-order offer for Rengegade SUCKED. 3 new player skins and a music CD? Game music is usually BAD, and 3 MP skins aren't going to help me survive a rocket hit, are they?) I'll stick to games with little hype and good reviews. Or BC games.

I used the same method of "that looks cool, let's try it", but I don't think I was ever disappointed (except when I bought the really, really, really buggy original version of BC by Take 2, but that got fixed fast)

Ok, what's REALLY sad is the Kilrathi in the game movies looked better than the ones in the MOVIE. Aren't MOVIE characters supposed to look better than ones from computer games, due to the entire budget being centered on the MOVIE? I hope if Chris Roberts does a TV series that it actually looks GOOD.

That game rocks! I bought it awhile ago, but been too busy playing BC and doing other stuff to play it. Being a Predator rocks in SP. Marines dont know what hit em. Keep on using that smartgun SC! They wouldn't have left it in the game in MP if it wasn't meant to be used to kill the people who call you a "talentless wimp". Remember, THEY are the ones getting killed by it. One vision mode is to target humans, one is to target aliens, and one is to target other predators (I think?). Be predator in SP until after the capture. You'll have the vision modes and weapon system usage down by then. Pain in the neck to get used to, but once you got it, life rules. (Sorta like BCM. I have most decent-good games, and some bad ones, since the time of XT computers. I must have over 100 retail games total, had to get out big moving boxes to pack some of the older ones up.

I'd be jealous, but I don't have a free wall. I thought the prize was going to be something like a free copy of XP1.

Don't we inject mind control chips into prisoners? That's what I thought it was, since we can order them around on the ship too without a military escort.

Just one thing though, there are/were no intruders on board. It turned to 12:00, and a couple enemy ships showed up in space, but no intruders even up to an hour afterwards. Game works totally fine now though, so i'm not complaining.

On 4/11/3010 at 11:59 turning to 12:00 (game time), the game does a CTD w/no error message. In order to attempt to remedy this problem, I turned all detail settings to lowest possible, and it continued to CTD at the exact same time. I then proceeded to re-load the game from about 7-10 hours earlier, and go to a different system and wait till the same point. It again crashes. It crashes even if i'm docked at a station, flying in an atmosphere, or flying in space. I'm assuming it's a bug since it's: 1. Reproducable (no matter how far back I re-load a save from, when it is 4/11/3010 at 11:59 turning 12:00) 2. Crashes the game 3. Doesn't seem to involve my system config/setup (it runs perfectly till that point) I doubt it could be a graphics issue since it even crashes while i'm docked, but I don't know. You guys are the experts. Is my system screwed up, or is there a bug?

From what I understand, satelite is significantly worse than both Cable and DSL as a whole on upload/download speeds, but much better than dial-up.
