Gettin' the same issue..... Playing BCMG fully patched and in ACM mode, when on the bridge of my CC I hear sounds of infantry fight and missiles explosions; I hear them when there is no one too!!!! The laser shot and the AAAARRG!!! are usually played when passing wormhole gate or when travelling from a system to another....

Congratulations DELTA1!!!!!!

quote: why are than the spare parts than on board the shuttle, I did not put then in the shuttle cargo bay. If your shuttles are docked to your CC and you have intruders on board, the intruders will often fill your shuttles with cargo from the CC. [/QB] Or else that might be the contents of a container you get with the shuttle.....

Probably the AI of the station's enginer is higher than the ones on your CC so they will take less time....

It is hard to play offense with your ship against a fighter. I usually take out other large ships first, and then I launch my fighters to clean up the other fighters. Nothing more wrong to me.....I command an AESTROM class super cruiser and I never launched a fighter nor a missile to take down an enemy..... USE YOUR PTA SYSTEM and your backward trusters when a fast target outmaneuver you...... Thats's all.....

-10000 ish EXP points, and no obvious reason?

Try loading up with OTS weapons and burning down some enemy bases..... that would surely help a lot...... -

The screen has a "box" around it... so you can move your crosshairs around that "box" without effecting either your head POV or your BODY TURNING... once it hits the constraints, your head then moves up, or your body starts turning... Quite interesting, and possibly it might fix the problem you're facing, SC, with the idle animations? Download the demo and check it out, if you want! EDIT: I must also add, the crosshairs arn't really even supposed to be used for aiming accurately, as if you're firing from the hip to grossly exagerate it... you ahve to bring up crosshairs which changes everything and makes it HALF-LIFE/QUAKE/UNREAL style but looking thru the iron sites themselves... maybe you would want to go that far with first person? Just was I was saying some posts before.....but I think that you had clared it all a bit....

The fact is, most fps games render the gun as a separate entity from the character mesh. So, in actual fact, it can be handled independently of the character - hence nothing you do is affected by the animation (e.g. idle pose). In my engine, the attachments (to the bone) are part of the character and rendered/handled in one pass (as if they are the same entity). So if the character mesh is moving (i.e. chest heaving while breathing during idle), this affects the entire mesh - especially the bones to which the weapon model is attached. Anyway, I think I'm gonna play it safe and go the Q3A route. It makes no difference from my perspective because either method (old or new) works just fine for me and I'm used to both. [/QB] Well let me see if I understand well.... so even if the crosshair will for some strange reason be left still in the center (due to alternate conceipt of the engine), the weapon and so the aim will be moved due to the breathing animation that move the chest and the arm's bones that hold the rifle.... right..? Well pretty realistic....you're a sort of LEONARDO DA VINCI in your approach to problems boss!!! However if I understand what the Q3A way is we'll be able to move the crosshair with the mouse and so direct our character, unless activate the mouselook function...right? Will us be allowed to target the ground between our feet or the sky above us..? C YA...(salute) [just to keep military...]... [you definitely have to insert a saluting GRAEMLINS...]

Well.....I think that a solution possible would be the one I saw in OPERATION FLASHPOINT from CODEMASTERS.... the game uses more than one kind of view for the first person shooting and aiming; the default view is crosshair centered but with a circle in the center where you could move your crosshair freely without moving the POW (so if you move slightly your crosshair such as for the animation movement, your pow will not be affected and the crosshair will remain almost stable to make your shots almost accurate); se second kind is a simulation of what you would see when aiming through the aiming sight and it's the one used to fire with precision, in this mode the crosshair move automatically the pow (as for other FPS games like HALF LIFE, QUAKE ecc.) and the crosshair is moved by the animation and bounces when firing due to the recoil.... That's a good solution to be simple and intuitive in the controls but saving a part of the realism... Sorry if I can't be much clear but I'm not english speaking....I've done almost my best...

Totally agree with you HUWIE.... MORROWIND and its expansion packs is really worth buying... you'll never regret it..... I also got OPERATIONS FLASHPOINT and the add-on RESISTANCE and I've loved them too.... pretty much realistic but the second chapter it's about to be released so you'll better keep waiting..... I've buyed JEDI ACADEMY last saturday.... well good game but it's almost the same as JEDI OUTCAST.... I'm progressing to see the dual lightsabers and lightsaber staff.... not bad till now.... If you like tactical shooter you couldn't miss the TOM CLANCY series such as RAVEN SHIELD and SPLINTER CELL.... C YA [ 10-21-2003, 03:18 AM: Message edited by: dennymala ]
