I am still having the same problem with not connecting to the server for updates. I have checked my ports on my router, including MP ports from the VCF. I even turned off the Windows firewall(forgot to turn it off when I installed my router ) Is there a particular port that needs to be open for the updater? I have looked in the troubleshooting faq and the VCF and can find no mention of such a thing. Searches in the forums turn up nothing either. I apologize for the dearth of info in my last post. Due to the lateness of the hour my brain had stopped working properly a couple of hours before.

Just what I said. Both resume and saved load much faster than before the patch. Probably just a problem with my computer. Always is right?

Fred, Only start your repairs in the starstation. Assign one engineer to critical jobs first so you get any parts for free. Complete your other business and then leave the starstation. Go ahead and start your repairs again, concentrating the most engineers on the most critical jobs. If you have a super carrier it's really sweet as you have 20 engineers instead of 5 or 10. You might as well be doing something around the galaxy while your ship is being repaired. Just be careful not to get in any fights!

Yeah, That old "reverse the polarity" trick, tachyon beams, and chronotrons did get kind of old. Another stellar episode Race. Things are starting to get muddy when Cylons start helping Humans. Nothing is perfect though, and I have a complaint that has been building for about three episodes: It's a damn Humvee! Couldn't they have dropped a little cash for some fiberglass body work? And another thing, if their gonna use firearms, at least come up with some caseless bullet with it's own propulsion system. Heeeeey, maybe something like Gene Simmons gun in Runaway!! Oh well, thankfully the story itself is more than enough to compensate. Don't worry Race, there are a lot of people diggin' BG's action.

That I agree with. Most of the time it seems as if they are all about winning elections and accumulating power, all under the guise of what is "best for America". They haven't thought about what's best for America in decades. It's just a meaningless mantra that serves no purpose. It's kind of like using meditation to find inner peace. After a while it becomes simply a self serving technique. The peace is always there, one simply has to find it anew each time. Kind of a strange analogy. Worked better in my head.

Great link Jaguar. Indeed, democracy in its purest sense is a dangerous thing. I think that many people either forget or never know, that what the founding fathers were trying to achieve was balance, so that no form of extremism could destroy that which they created.

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this but saved games seem to load much faster after this patch. I am grateful.
